They are telling us they have to send us to Phoenix and yet the place they referred us has no clue about the referral nor do they accept our insurance. I think we are being pawned off as this will be his 4th open heart surgery. First one failed and they thought the previous surgeon made a mistake an installed a too small tissue valve even though they took all the tests and imaging. It failed at one and a half years. Well, here we are one and a half years after the TAVR they performed and no help Valve #2. Valve leaflets are pinwheeling which can also be a "TOO SMALL" indication. They tell us they cannot do the third and pawned us to Phoenix specialist who knows nothing of us and does NOT accept our insurance. POOR PERFORMANCE all around at this point. My husband has heart issues for years and his primary Cardio doc retired from Pima Heart. Sure am missing him about now. Would love to hear some type of response, but probably wont even get the call back about the doc they referred us to and NOW WHAT!!!

I had to wait another several weeks for a check after surgery. You can never reach anyone on the phone and when I had a billing issue, I was told by the representative "I don't know." I switched practices due to the administrative staff, not the physicians.

But on subsequent visits I didn't need as much (or didn't need it at all). Recovery takes a while - Wearing compression hose above the knee for two weeks after the procedure even in the shower kind of sucks. I ended up getting an infection in my leg probably not related to the ablation but it certainly set it on fire! That took a couple of weeks to get over but now I feel great and my legs don't swell anymore, which was the reason I came to Tucson Vein. TLDR: Get the timing right as recovery can take a bit - follow instructions - enjoy your cankles being gone!

I came 15 mins before my appointment so I could fill out paperwork. After sitting for almost 10 minutes I figured I better go up and ask for the paperwork. At that point she said she was sorry and handed me the stuff to fill out. I was taken for my appointment right on time. The nurse was friendly. When Dr Ducharme came in, she had already reviewed my paperwork that the ER has sent her. She was super efficient, caring, and answered all my questions. She did my surgery a few days ago and all went well. I'd definitely recommend Dr Ducharme! I also dealt with Liz in billing/insurance and she was great as well. Great experience with most of the folks here!

I think My personal stress is lower since the Paris Incident in June when my wife had a medical situation and I had to fly overnight to rescue her. That ended up being a week. 90 days Post, she's better. But we ll see what he determines this round. Update from yesterday and the Echo Scan. I'm not fine but it is not serious enough for a procedure. He will Use this and the previous scan to set a bar and do all this again in 6 months. If that is good then we can check it annually the same way. PVCs are what I have and they add extra heart beats. Some people feel the activity or effects. I don't. So back to normal, back to the gym for resistance training. Start travel plans again. Pretty good day really. ...

I witnessed my wife before the second procedure ask that he be sure to call me after she was out of the OR. HE DID NOT!!!! I entrusted Dr. Coon with my wife's life and he couldn't muster the effort to give me a Sitrep on her condition or what care she'll need at home, what to look out for, how it went, NOTHING!!!! My Distain for him is beyond words. A truly despicable act from him and his office.

I'm not quite sure that they are aware that we are paying customers and we have choices. They are supposed to set the tone for the office visit , not to get patients upset.
