This local family owned business is phenomenal and I would highly recommend doing a tour with them! They do private and group tours. My husband and myself did a private tour and Zoe, our guide was amazing! She picked us up and dropped its off at our hotel. We got to visit 3 wineries, which were amazing! They have so many wineries down there, Zoe helped us navigate which ones would be best for us! She was great, we had water and snacks along the way that were provided and we even had lunch at our second spot which really helped us while tasting a bunch of wines. Dos Cabezas, Autumn Sage, and Callaghan staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Zoe also was very knowledgeable not only about the wineries but the history of the areas we were driving through. We went on a southern Arizona wine tour recently and were lucky enough to have Zach as our guide. He gave us a very detailed and super interesting history of both Sonoita and Elgin, and it was very obvious he cares a lot and has a lot of respect for the area. He was also just a lot of fun in between the history too! The different vineyards and tasting rooms that we visited all were so unique and each offered a different variety of wines that were so fun to try. My favorite stop was Arizona Hops and Vines with the chips and sips. It was a great way to spend the day! read more

This tour was incredible! We had Jeremy and he was a great driver and guide. I bought my mom tickets in 2019 and it was well worth the wait. The wineries are all awesome, but all three different with different vibes and unique characteristics. I would say I enjoyed the wine at the Page Spring Vineyard the best! Jeremy was considerate, fun, and knowledgeable. His van was immaculate and had water and snacks! We weren't the only ones in the tour, there was also a family there with us. I'm going to start with what was advertised and communication. First, we booked a tour for a Friday, two days prior to our tour date, I received an email asking for our lunch choices, then 10 minutes later I received another email saying they hadn't met their quota so we could contact Viator for a refund or rebook to Saturday. We decided to rebook to Saturday, but subsequent emails kept saying our tour was still Friday. So, I called the company and a gentleman answered and said oh yeah we'll send you an email. Not sure if this was an issue with Viator or just poor communication but when you're spending almost $300 for the tour, it would be nice to have correct information sent to you. When booking through Viator, the tour clearly states the tour is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. I thought 9 was pretty early but okay, maybe that's due to drive time. Nope. The day before our tour, I received an email saying our driver, Paul, would call around 8 to arrange a pick up time, but to be prepared to leave at 10. 10? When the booking said 9? Okay fine. 8 a.m. comes and goes, finally at 8:40, Paul calls and says he'll be there to pick us up in 10-15, 10 to 15 minutes? Sure, we'll be ready. 45 minutes later, no Paul. I call and ask, did we miss something? Paul says oh sorry I meant I'd pick you up at 10:15 to 10:20, the wineries don't even open until 11, like I am an idiot. If pick up time is closer to 10 or 10:30, why advertise it as a 9 a.m. start time? Not a huge deal, just confusing and misleading when you are trying to plan and be ready. Maybe this is an issue the company can address with Viator to make it more clear. Paul did arrive around 10:30. The tour consisted of three wineries- all good with various tasting options. We were supposed to have 1 1/2 hours at each winery but that didn't happen- we definitely felt rushed by Paul to move on from each location and we were back at our hotel by 3:15. Not exactly what was advertised, given drive time took about an hour of the total tour time. Even given the later start time, it would have been fine if we weren't rushed along at each stop. Overall, the idea was there for a good time but communication and what was advertised were a let down. The other two couples on the tour with us questioned the same things. read more

Just got dropped off by Jeramie (i called him "Jer Bear") and we had a blast! Jer Bear was super nice, friendly and helpful. Our fellow wine drinkers were fun to hang out with too. Booking was very easy and Charlotte was very responsive, answering all of my questions and completing my reservation very quickly. We did the tour out of Sedona. Our driver/tour guide Calvin communicated pickup information the day before and showed up 3-minutes before the scheduled times. Calvin is an awesome driver/guide/host! He is a very knowledgeable, sincere, and friendly gentlemen, who grew up in the area and shared a wealth of information with us throughout the day. All of the wineries that we visited had a welcoming atmosphere and delicious wines. Upon arrival at each one, they all seemed to be happy to see Calvin again. A testament to his likability. The sandwiches from Wildflower were very good and the limo bus was very comfortable. While you could do the same tour on your own for less money, you'd miss out on the local wine history provided by the tour guide and hanging out with Calvin. Fun tour, Calvin was great as our tour guide and knowledgeable about the three wineries we went to. We had 14 people in my group and signed up for the "public" bus tour as opposed to the private one which was more expensive. Since we had a bigger group we ended up getting a 14 person bus which was great! They are accommodating for holding spots on buses but obviously book them quick if you're waiting on friends to pay or stuff like that for big groups. Just ask them what you'd like to do. Went to Paige Springs Cellars, Oak Creek Vineyards, and Javalina Leap Vineyards, which were all down the road from each other. We got picked up at 9:40 from our air bnb, made a pit stop and were at Paige Springs around 10:30. We spent a little over an hour at each winery and had lunch at Oak Creek Vineyards. We left the last winery around 3PM, it was definitely a beautiful day for a wine tour. I'd have to say the experience was better than the wines. Not a fan of AZ wines but they were decent. I'd recommend this tour though if visiting Sedona. read more

Booked this tour for my birthday with a group of friends for mid March. We picked this company because my best friend and I took a tour with them in 2020 and literally had one of the best days EVER! We had such a great experience the first time, I wanted to spend my birthday doing the same thing with a bigger group. When we went to book, I noticed the pricing for the tour went up by $10 which honestly wasn't a big deal for us since I knew the tour would be worth it. When we did the tour in 2020 we went to four different wineries, there was champagne on the bus for mimosas in the morning, we got to play our on music and we were on a party bus. Now... When we arrived in 2022 for our tour - everything was normal the morning of. We got a phone call from a guy who said he was in a limo bus and needed our address and said he was going to pick us up at 9:35am no problem. A few minutes later we get another call from someone else saying that they will actually be picking us up at 10:10am.. We said okay no problem. When the driver showed up, he wasn't in a party bus. He was in some sort of shuttle bus, smaller than a mini van. So no party bus, no option to play our own music and definitely no mimosas. I was completely shocked and the driver said "oh this is my first day and I wasn't even supposed to be working today. This car is a rental I guess the other bus broke down". So obviously I was furious. I called the AZ winery tours and basically was like hey this IS NOT the service I purchased and the woman on the phone tried to argue with me saying that is was the service I purchased and the party bus option was $200. I said excuse me but I would know if there was another option at check out to upgrade. We even had screenshots of the check out page where there was only one option to purchase which was the $149. She said that they changed the services on March 1.. well we purchased our tickets on March 2 and there was NO indication of a change of service on the website. This was a trip for my birthday and I am an extreme thorough person (especially when it comes to booking a trip for several people). So basically we bought tickets for a party bus and were driven around by some rental without even bluetooth. Talk about a massive bummer of a birthday celebration. After the woman stopped arguing on the phone we came to resolution to give us a partial refund which I was satisfied with since there was no way to get us on the party bus that we originally booked. Apparently the nice car that we were supposed to have was in the shop. They really should have just denied our request if they didn't have the vehicle for us.. I mean a rental.. really??? All together I would give the trip a 7/10 and that is only because our tour guides tried to make the best of a really crappy situation. The women I spoke to on the phone said that there are new owners of the company. I don't know who they are but they raised the prices and lowered the services so I will not be using this tour ever again nor will I be recommending it to others. I am honestly embarrassed I invited more people and gave them more business to be let down. AZ Winery Tours pre 2022 was amazing, seriously unbelievable. But now, it's a total no go. I gave two stars because we are getting a partial refund. But I know for a fact that we wouldn't have gotten the refund unless I told them that I was a previous customer and I knew exactly how the tour was supposed to be. I think they thought we were going to be new customers and ignorance is bliss.. Well not from me! I just felt scammed which was super sad especially because it was for a birthday trip. If you do take this tour - do it for the guides. They are seriously great. But the new owners are shady and its a massive downgrade from their pervious offerings. read more

We booked this tour for my bachelorette party and it was the most fun we had on our trip. Our guide was Zach Glover and he went above and beyond for us. He was extremely personable and made the tour so much more enjoyable. He had a lot of knowledge on the history of the areas we were driving through, and we loved hearing about the history of everything. He was constantly checking in to make sure that we were doing fine at each winery that we visited and was extremely attentive, we loved all the wineries that we visited. We even picked up a couple of bottles to save for later. If you are thinking about booking this tour we went during the summer and it was extremely enjoyable and not too hot since the bus was kept cool, and we were in shady areas, we highly recommend this tour and the guide Zach! We were lucky enough to share the tour with two other people which was nice. It felt a lot more private. Calvin arrived oN time at our hotel to pick us up. Then we proceeded to have three tastings at three wineries with a fourth as a bonus. Everything was wonderful. The wineries were beautiful and the wine was perfect. We loved Oak Creek so much which we visited first that CalviN extended our tour so we could go back and buy more wine from there. If you want to have an incredible day, I highly recommend this tour. My wife and I were looking for a little getaway and we were interested in visiting some of the wineries in northern Arizona. Luckily, we found Arizona Winery Tours! They picked us up at your hotel, a very friendly driver greeted us and almost immediately offered us a Mimosa to get things started! We took the tour with another couple, some very good friends of ours. What an awesome way to spend a day! We were able to talk, to laugh and to learn about some really cool places without having to do any driving or navigating unfamiliar places. We had 11 people on the tour last Saturday, the limo bus was comfortable and it was a fun way to meet some new people who also happen to enjoy wine! On Friday the 1st of August we went on an Arizona Winery Tour for a friends Bachelorette. It was an amazing day and it was really made by Calvin our bus driver. Calvin was so sweet and very patient with us. He made it clear he didn't want to rush us and to let him know how we were going throughout the day. He was knowledgeable and was always trying to ensure that we were having the best experience possible. We went to three wineries and they were all different but were each charming and had a great range of wines to try. The bus was outfitted nicely with great air con and (a great escape from the heat!) and well supplied with cheese/crackers and water. We were allowed to bring our own bottles of champagne for on the bus which was a major bonus. All in all it was a really great day, everything went smoothly and I'd definitely recommended them. This tour was great! Our guide, Calvin, was sweet, very helpful, and genuinely seems to enjoy doing this. We didn't have to worry about carting any of of our purchases back to the super nice limo bus, as he would grab them quickly. The limo bus was very comfortable, clean, spacious. Bottled water and crackers/cheese were provided. Ice was available to keep wine chilled if you opted to have an open bottle. We went to 4 wineries - 3 were scheduled and an extra (DA Ranch) was added for a lunch stop. I've reviewed each of the wineries separately. We went to Oak Creek, Page Cellars, DA Ranch, and Javelina Leap. Lunch was included, by Wildflower Bread Co, and was chosen when booking the tour. The food was great with lots of choices available. Our experience with Arizona Winery Tours was one for the books. Myself and 7 other girls made a reservation with Charlotte for a bachelorette party. She was so sweet on the phone and made it extremely easy for all of us to book. The online paying system and how we chose lunch was also nice and convenient. Once the date arrived, we were given an email on pick up time and name of driver. Calvin picked us up promptly and immediately made us feel like family. I can't speak highly enough of this man and how comfortable he made us feel. He was joking around with us and light hearted (even with our crazy group, penis straws and all). He was able to give us a detailed description of each- you could tell Calvin really enjoys what he does!
