If you are into wine, this is an awesome tour. Jake was our guide and he balanced teaching about AZ wine with a genuine desire for his guests to have fun. He really knew his stuff and was ready to dive into the details while remaining lighthearted and gracious. There is never any pressure on the cost of a tasting or a meal, just a desire for one to enjoy the experience. BTW: AZ wine is great! It is still in its pioneering days so none of the wineries try to just play it safe. Therefore you get some very well crafted, unique wines. Started out in Cottonwood at Pillsbury Wine Co, had an amazing lunch across the street at Merkins Vineyard Tasting room and Osteria, enjoyed the town of Jerome and finished off the day at a cool little winery with live music called the Chateau Tumbleweed. George had great suggestions and kept us entertained all days with stories about the wineries and area. Had an amazing time on this tour! My Mom and I took a girls trip to Scottsdale and wanted to take a scenic wine tour for one of the days. I stumbled across Sedona Wine Adventures when searching Yelp/Google. After reading the reviews, I can confirm that this tour is a MUST if you're traveling around the Sedona/Phoenix area. Our tour guy Charles was a badass (in a good way) - knowledgeable about wine/region but not too overwhelming or nerdy with information, engaging, funny, and just a super nice person! He let us choose how the day should go and gave us a ton of recommendations on what wineries to see next. He made us feel very comfortable and relaxed during the whole trip. On our first trip to Sedona we picked the Sedona Wine Adventures to get familiar with the area and discover Arizona wines. It turned out to be a most excellent choice! Before departing on our trip to Arizona a quick phone call and a number of e-mails established a level of confidence in and comfort with Sedona Wine Adventures. We felt that we could count on them to make the most of our limited time in the area. Jeff picked my wife, my adult son and I up at the hotel in Sedona and off we headed into the unknown. The vehicle was comfortable and well stocked for our hours on the road. By the first stop it was evident that Jeff was well up to the challenge of keeping three very different people satisfied. He pulls out a chart of wines and starts the education: wines, growing areas, local history, geology. Good balance for our different personalities. Then back into the vehicle and off further west to abandoned mine sites, past homes new and old up to the second stop with a view of the setting sun on the distant ridge. Great fun, great tastes and great views. Now things really kick in for Jeff's adaptability. "Oh, let's have a glass of wine at the haunted hotel." "OK", we say and it is off along the back roads of Jerome up to one of the most haunted sites in America! Wine, ghosts and good conversation - fantastic. Next there's a choice between supper or star gazing in a historic cemetery with coyotes howling! We pick number 2. Unbelievable! Jeff was so entertaining and engaging. His long history with the area provided insights that couldn't be found any other way - than over a glass of wine. We smiled and giggled all the way home. If you want a personalized Arizona wine experience, this is for you! George picked us up (arrived early), and took us on a very interesting and thorough tour of Sedona area wineries. He was very knowledgeable and interactive. We visited four wineries and ended up buying wine from all but one. Two of them were in Jerome, and George also gave us a tour of the Jerome highlights too. A big thank you to Robert for taking us around for some lovely wine tasting in Jerome and Paige Springs. He picked us up from our hotel, had water waiting in the car, and was incredibly friendly and gave us a ton of facts about the area. We took a lovely drive from Oak Creek to Jerome and visited two tasting rooms. The wine tastings are included in the price, so it was nice to not have to worry about exchanging money or leaving tips because Robert handled everything. After we tasted at the two rooms in Jerome, we headed to Paige Springs and visited Javelina Vineyards. They have some really tasty Zin's but AZ wine is just way too expensive. Overall this was a great tour and a nice way to spend the afternoon. read more

Aaron picked us up and immediately he let us know that the day was about us and what we wanted. He showed us around the Verde Valley. Any place we found interesting, he brought us in. This was the highlight of our trip. We got the amazing experience of spending the day with Jeff and Teri while touring vineyards, tasting rooms, and the town of Jerome. We started at Alcantara, went to Jerome and experienced 2 tasting rooms (Cellar 433 has some amazing views!) and then finished at Page Springs. Robert was fantastic during our tour. There had been another couple scheduled to go with us but they were unable to make it, therefore it was like having our own private tour!!! Driving from each winery Robert talked to us about the area, culture, and history. Not only did we learn about the wineries, but we learned about how the towns had developed over time into what they are today. It was fantastic to be able to engage in conversation, ask questions and receive answers in a more personal atmosphere that can only be attained through a private tour. My husband and I felt as though we had an "in" at each of our stops. Robert knew everyone and we were greeted like old friends. At each stop we tried different flights of local wines. I was very pleased that our tastings were included in the cost of what we had originally paid. What was even nicer was that at 2 of the stops we were able to keep our tasting glasses as souvenirs. There were many extras to pick up if you so chose, but I never felt pressured to purchase anything additional. Although I do wish we would have picked up a few bottles on the tour instead of waiting. I do suggest though snacking on light foods (crackers, cheeses, olives etc) though because you will start to feel the effects of the tastings after awhile. I am very glad that we did this tour. Not only did it give us a chance to get to meet many Sedona (and surrounding area) locals, it also gave us the opportunity to experience the many different tastes and styles of wine that come from Arizona. read more
