In fact, negative stars are too good for her -- she should be banned from administering any and all future euthanasia services, barred from providing the most rudimentary of veterinary 'care,' and kept at a safe distance -- of at least several time zones -- from even the most callous of pet-owners. Through Ark, I hired Dr. Erica to euthanize my beloved cat today. He's been deceased not even five and a half hours, but instead of mourning him and being present with my grief, I'm writing a fu€king Yelp review. I started writing this review at 9:45pm, but I'm so upset I have to keep stopping to collect myself. From grief? No -- from RAGE. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I can't even GET to my grief because my head is still fully-spinning from one of the most incongruent, hurtful, confusing, gross, disrespectful, hurried, and shocking experiences of my life -- and I've worked in customer service with the unfiltered public for years, have suffered through some of the worst bedside manner imaginable in my own journey to health, and have survived severe and disabling trauma spanning all manner of categories -- so that's saying something[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. It's taken me this long to pull myself together after not only the crushing death of my cat, but to stem the emotional bleed and ferocious psychological injury she's caused. She literally had ONE job to do, and she UTTERLY failed: TO DO NO HARM. I will write tomorrow when I have the strength to enumerate the many concrete and specific examples in which she totally failed not just us, but my cat. For right now, I'll just say: I paid SIX HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS for the absolute WORST treatment by someone I trusted -- to help facilitate what SHOULD have made some of my worst moments on one of the WORST days of my life LESS painful. This is about the in house veterinary clinic where we recently brought our dog, About a year ago we were thrilled with the care we got from the homecare team that came to our home. The vet at the clinic was not helpful, made my dog's lump worse by shaving around it and not giving us any real information about how to heal it, treat it, or make it better --not even a discussion about what it was or what future treatment would be needed. Finally, after a few years in between vets, we have found a new place for our dog. When he was a puppy we went to a vet near where I worked, well that's about an hour away now. I was still going there because I loved the vets and staff. We went to another local vet but it just wasn't the same. I've seen the Ark mobile van around town lots but it was difficult to book an appointment because of the high demand and few vets at Ark. My family made the decision to put our sweet old-man mutt down in October. He weighed 95 pounds and his back legs and bladder were failing, so the prospect of trying to get him to our vet's office -- which is a 40-minute drive -- for the procedure was just not an option. I called another mobile NH vet first (Pet Loss at Home), and the guy I spoke to was cold and rude: He said he *could* do it, but he also pointedly told me that he was leaving for a vacation the next day -- strongly implying that it was a major inconvenience for him to come out and making me feel guilty for having called at all. No way was I letting someone like that near my dog or into my house during such an emotional time. After asking around, a friend recommended Ark; I called and left a message on a Sunday afternoon, and they called me back shortly after 8 AM the next morning. This experience could not have been more different than the first guy. The woman I spoke to on the phone at Ark was warm, compassionate, and very clear about what to expect in terms of timing, the procedure itself, and the cost. The vet, Erika, made the process as smooth as something like this can ever be -- she clearly understood that this was a horribly hard thing for my family to do, and she was was so sweet and comforting, both toward us and toward our dog. It honestly meant the world to us that she was able to help our pal to the rainbow bridge at home, and that she imbued the process with such understanding and warmth. They "accidentally" did a communal cremation and disposal of my yorkie poo who I've had for 12 years. I requested and paid for a private cremation and for the remains to come home to us so we could plant him under a tree in our yard. I lost a pregnancy 3 months ago, quickly followed by losing our only pet. My 4 year old asks me EVERY DAY for a baby and for Reese to come back. I explained heaven and burials and now have to try to explain why we can't do that for the dog she has had her entire life. I'm disgusted beyond words. Refunding of fees is laughable. If you can't guarantee proper services you should not advertise them. They should be ashamed of themselves. The grief we are feeling is something I could never put into words. read more

I am going to take back my review from my visit to my home. Dr Troy and his assistant are incredible office customer service is why I give no stars. I would call leave detailed messages of what I needed and what the doctor told me to do. If my dog needed more antibiotics call the office. You will NEVER have anyone picking up the phone you have to leave a message and I did very detailed messages. Just a little advice when you call back know who you are talking to and their animal when you call back. I have been trying for weeks to get him his meds. Had my husband call and they told him something totally different from my instructions for medication. I asked for the Dr to call me because no one could figure out how to get his meds. Finally had enough called them and told them we would be picking up our medical records today and they gave a remark that I did not appreciate so I remarked 'thank you for not getting my dog his meds. Already traumatized from his life and they laughed at me. I told them I was leaving a negative review for making my dog suffer. I have been going here since 2020 and this is my first dog I rescued so they haven't been here in a couple of years. They laughed at me that means you laughed at my dog and his well being. Those 2 woman who never answer the phone laughed at my dogs suffering. I had to leave a star to get to post this.... But no stars for you! read more

I had to put my 12 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever Kaycee to sleep yesterday. Hardest thing ever! I made the choice to use a home euthanasia service because Kaycee couldn't walk and was very weak, she was comfortable in her bed. Michelle on the phone- made me feel like I had made the right decision and kept the paperwork super easy. Dr. Beth and her tech were great at putting both Kaycee and I at ease. We used this service based upon a recommendation from our primary veterinarian. Ava (our german shepard) became very ill and could not get up under her own power and was pretty much unresponsive. Weighing in at 70 lbs I was afraid I may cause more injury or discomfort moving her to the car and then to the vet office. It is a great relief and comfort to have a mobile vet service as an option. I did not feel rushed in trying to get out the words of what was going on... We took care of the business end first on the phone so that was not necessary when Dr. Beth and Kelly the technician arrived. At that point we could just focus on Tommy... As another reviewer wrote, they are extremely efficient yet compassionate. You could tell this is also hard for them. While they held it together you can genuinely tell they both felt our pain too. I don't know about the rest of their day, but I believe we were 3rd of 4 such appointments that evening... and again still there was no rush. We were able to pat him during and after he passed. I showed pics of Tommy in his heyday while retelling a couple snippets of his personality... We've also received a handwritten card this week, that was unexpected.. If I could award 10 stars I would. We called Ark on a Sunday morning with concerns about our elderly dog. About an hour later two very kind and compassionate professionals (vet was Judy i think tech I am not sure of her name sorry)arrived at our home to assess and ultimately euthanize our beloved dog. They could not have been kinder, to us and to our pet. They handled the business end of things well emailing the invoice the next day. The cost was more than reasonable. I recommend them unconditionally. Our sweet pup was able to die comfortably in her own bed. A wonderful service. read more

Horrible experience Michelle on the phone was very nice and that's where it ended We had to make the horrible decision to put our sweet 7 year old dog to sleep and felt it would be better to do at home since she hated going to the vets Boy were we wrong Erika showed up at the door and was instantly not warm No compassion at ALL We were all crying and devastated And no compassion came from her - she barely acknowledged my sweet dog trying to say hello to her We felt horribly rushed and no instructions on what she was going to do at all She barely talked to us- she seemed irritated to even be there and like we were putting her out And then when she gave our sweet girl the sedative shot She screamed in pain like I've ever heard out of my girl and she was like Oh all small dogs are like that - it was awful and the last memory of our girl alive Then she gave her the euthanasia shot and was like Bye Awful awful awful Please do not let this woman put your sweet animal to sleep Was a total nightmare for us and almost 3 weeks later I still regret ever letting her step foot in our house And I'm not the only one that feels this way AWFUL HORRIBLE experience And when I called her on it she was defensive and blamed Covid on her behavior - then maybe she should think twice before taking the life of someone's beloved pet read more

Dr.Erica is as good as it gets for a veterinarian! Our 17 year old maine coon mix had been on the decline for quite some time and finally we had to make the tough and heartbreaking decision to euthanize him. After finally deciding you are ready for such a thing, it is important that you are able to have it done relatively soon so you don't dwell on it. After calling around every veterinary hospital in the area and leaving messages, only 2 called back. Dr.Erica was the only one willing to come and do it the same night! If it weren't for her, we would have had a miserable night knowing that he was suffering and second guessing ourselves. When she got there, she had the PERFECT "bedside manner" and knew just what to say and how to say it. She made us confident that we made the right decision. During the process, she explained everything in a way that we could understand what was going on but also in a very sensitive way. She gave us plenty of time to say our last goodbyes. We did not feel rushed at all. She was able to do the procedure in his favorite room in the house, on his favorite spot. That alone was remarkable. It made us so much more comfortable knowing his last memory would be in the comfort of his own home in his favorite spot. I was able to pet him and talk to him during the whole thing. He very peacefully drifted away. While it was heartbreaking, Dr.Erica made us feel so much better about it. She truly made a terrible situation into something that we could handle. THANK YOU DR. ERICA! I was truly surprised and delighted to find out the price was less than expected as well. If you have the chance, please give Dr.Erica a try. She is just wonderful. read more

Last year I started using Ark for the care of my two cats based on the recommendation of a coworker. It was amazingly convenient to have their checkups completed right at the house without having to shuttle them to a vet's office and wait around. Their mobile van is state-of-the-art and seems to have everything you'd expect in a vet's office (but cozy!). Today I had an urgent situation with my cat, he was not eating and I knew something was wrong. I called early in the morning and left a message and by 8am I had a call back and they happily rearranged their day's schedule to fit in a same-day appointment. They did an xray right there and determined my cat had some fluid in the lungs, patiently explained what that meant, gave us two prescriptions and provided several options for cardiology followup. I've been to vets offices where it feels chaotic and rushed... this is totally different. Both times for me it's been a veterinarian and an assistant and I've felt like I had their full attention. More importantly they seemed like really nice people who were knowledgeable and caring. I wish I had known about this option sooner. read more

I had a good friend call me crying last night. She had to put her dog down. This senior dog had been part of a big dog family for years. A few years ago one of his brothers had to be put to sleep. Just recently another senior brother was losing his battle to cancer. Both of them were put to sleep in their home by very compassionate veterinarians. The vet that came to put this dog down was not compassionate, only stayed about 10 minutes, did not ask about the pet and how important it was to the family. This practice charged more than other mobile veterinarians do for the service it provided. They did not offer to cut a bit of hair, take paw prints, or anything to help during this sad time for the family. I would think twice before using them. There are great, comforting vets that will make this transition feel better. read more

We had heard great reviews from our neighbor that had used Arc home-care service for their dog. Just yesterday we had to put our beloved 12 year old lab ,Captain down and used their services. I can't say enough about the care and compassion from the vet tech(sorry forgot her name) and Dr. Jayme that came to our house. They provided us with time to say our goodbyes, to cry and grieve and to relate our stories of our dog with them. The process was one of peace, dignity and respect for our dog. They sedated him first and then the final injection, all while we were giving him much love, kisses and hugs during his final minutes. I can't say enough about having to go through such a terrible event of losing your pet but to be able to have this done in your own home, in his comfort zone and favorite place to be (the tile bathroom floor) is indescribable. I can't speak enough about their service. We had private cremation services which they obtained as well. While we are and will be grieving for sometime for our loyal companion, the end for him couldn't have been bettebeenhank you from the Brown family. read more
