And they won't sell me the medication because I asked them to change an inaccuracy in the medical record. Very hateful and vindictive. read more

I had to change my vet for a number of reasons. The office never has time for sick animals for same day or next day appointments which has happened more than 3 times over the past year. They charge more than other local vets. The appointments are rushed at times. Some of the vets have an attitude and fail to go the extra step if your dog shows agitation/distress at the visit. They will claim they can't do the procedure and then charge you for the service they could not do and tell you other options that cost more money. We all have our bad days, but I won't be on the receiving end of it and neither will my animal. read more

I absolutely love this place! I've been taking my dog here ever since he was a puppy. I had a bad experience with a different vet clinic in town and this establishment was an amazing change that I'm so glad I made! The staff is very accommodating and welcoming, and there is never an issue of communication. This place sucks terribly. I made an appointment to have my dog spayed. They told me that a deposit was required beforehand. I decided to put approximately 50% down for my appointment, not knowing that they would keep all $350 of my deposit, because I asked to reschedule my appointment. Spend that money wisely, Derry Animal Hospital, because you will never see one red penny from me or anybody that I can convince to avoid your place of business. We're so glad we found Derry Animal Hospital. Everyone here is so nice, professional and caring. We just moved here from Florida and my dog started limping. Michelle was really helpful over the phone and Carrie helped us out when we arrived; checking us in and having our records transferred. Dr. Moore is an excellent vet. My wife and I have been bringing our 2 year old German shepard here since he was a puppy, treatment has been progressively worse and at this point my wife is more put off by vet visits than my dog is. Condescending, impersonal, overpriced and unhelpful to say the least. Today my wife brought our dog in for his annual visit and the vet walked into the room with a muzzle, confused my wife asked the vet what the muzzle was for and the Dr. told her my dog bit someone the last time he was there... B@LLSH#T, he has never been in a room without one of us there and most certainly has never so much as growled at anyone... ever... anywhere! My first experience with this animal hospital was bringing my very sick, unresponsive cat there as an emergency. We hadn't lived in Derry very long, and had not yet found a regular vet. We were welcomed with no questions asked. The entire staff was extremely caring, gracious, and helpful when nothing could be done to save my boy. They dealt with a heartbroken, devastated first time customer as if I'd been coming there for years. I knew then, that this is where I would be bringing my pets. I recently returned with my female cat, and received the same amazing level of care and service. Dr. Boulter is friendly, caring, and thorough. She goes above and beyond, and even calls weekly to check on my girl's progress. Prices for medications are very expensive if purchased at the office, I recommend signing the waiver at the office for online purchase and ordering through an online company. Grooming prices are also high. Staff has a tendency to pressure humans regarding treatment or vaccines. We return because the staff is great with our dogs and cat. read more

Love love love this practice. They are wonderful with my dog and always take good care of him. They are fairly priced and don't suggest anything unnecessary. When the doctor wasn't sure what was wrong with my dog she didn't hesitate referring us to a specialist. We get follow up calls from the doctor herself to discuss test results and see how things are going. They are caring and professional. I first visited Derry Animal Hospital when my cat was dying from cancer. We had just moved to NH from Providence, RI and weren't sure who to take her to (she wasn't diagnosed at the time we moved). The staff at Derry Animal Hospital was amazing during the process, and very kind and caring. Well, that was about 3 years ago and we still have our 3 cats seen here. Although it seems lately I am here far more often than I would like (and I'm sure the cats feel the same way), they are truly top notch. I cannot recommend Dr. Whitebone enough either, he is awesome. I love my vet! I currently have 3 cats. The staff and Dr. Boulter remember all my pets personalities and names. They're all very nice and so good with my animals. When I have to leave any of them for the day, I don't worry because I know they're in good hands. Very accommodating with scheduling. I love that they have extended hours now throughout the work week. Dr. Boulter is my vet, and she's just the best. I never feel embarrassed to ask a question. Even though the place is busy, I never feel rushed. I also like that she calls me herself to checkup or give results instead of just handing it off the a vet tech. She'll answer all my questions, even when it pertains to a cat that's not currently at the visit. She's also more interested in curing without surgery and really determining the root of the cause, which has not been my experience in the past. My oldest cat had a long bout with a UTI and kidney stones and we were able to find a solution quickly and are better able to manage the problem long-term. From what I know from friends and coworkers, Derry Animal Hospital is more reasonably priced than some of the others in the area. The last time I took all 3 cats for their checkups and they only charged me for one office visit. I guess it's pretty standard for other vets to charge one office visit per cat. The only downside is that they don't really do payment arrangements, even for last minute or unexpected surgeries. But they're very good at giving accurate quotes and will quote various options and go over every aspect of the invoice. I'm a really cautious pet owner, so I always get the extras (extra blood work, tests, and x-rays), but I've never felt pressured to do so. read more

I had a Norwegian Elkhound just about 10 years old.. apparently Derry Animal know nothing about that Breed.. every time i went in they said he was fat.. This breed runs anywhere from 55 lbs to 65 lbs.. My Dog always ran about 63 lbs.. they were very rough in exams saying he was fat and had squeeze aggressive on stomach..until the last time when they did it and i believe they ruptured his intestines, toxins were leaking into his body.. after about $1000 in emergency bills my Beloved Elkhound was put down because of that injury.. no way for me to prove it.. and i lost my best friend...Beware!!!! of this vet unless you have a fish.. read more

Last week My cat had a reaction to a rabbies vaccine which this clinic gave my cat which almost killed her. I called the receptionist in desperation and asked Derry Animal Clinic to see my cat. I was crying out for help and asked to see a Veterinarian and have them call me. While I was at work my wife called and spoke to a Veterinarian who happened to be the Owner. His name is Doctor Elliot L. Moore. My wife was home sick from work Thank God and spoke to this Vet. He told my wife that my Cat was a bad cat which he did nor even see my cat in the orginal appointment. He refused service to my wife said he was busy and when my wife asked why wont you see my cat and was it my husband when he called did he saying something inappropriate. He told her it was part of that. Please beware of the Doctor. He is not a nice person and would have rather seen my cat die. Do not use him for your own safety. We took my cat Lily elsewhere and she was treated great and is ok. read more
