This gym has it all, the vibes, awesome trainers, intelligently programmed classes and most of all, really kind people who belong to and work at this gym. Everyone here is respectful and is focusing on their health, which allows for such a safe place to be. The classes are top notch and having two coaches in a class really does make a difference. It's really the only place where they actually correct your form and sometimes they make the exercises harder so you're getting the most out of every workout. I stumbled into Ark Fit just planning to look around and tour the gym. I hadn't worked out in years after having a baby and honestly wasn't planning on jumping into anything serious. But while I was on the tour, the trainers encouraged me to try a class starting in 20 minutes. I was terrified, but I said yes.....and that one class reminded me that I could do hard things. It was exactly the push I needed (thank you Michelle and Tobias), and I signed up the same day (with zero pressure from anyone). What makes Ark Fit different is the people. The trainers don't just run a class, they bring the energy. They correct your form so you get better and stronger, and if something feels too hard, they'll modify it so you can keep moving. I've been consistently going here for over a year at their new location. I mainly do the group classes. Before joining Ark fit I was literally the Queen of Cardio doing OTF for 6 years. This review is for the open gym only. This is it. This is the one. For years, I had been looking for a gym where I could reliably get my squat / bench / deadlift done, even at peak hours after work. It also needed to have decent enough access to common accessory machines (cables, leg extension, etc.). For years, I thought that I was chasing a unicorn. During that time, I'd been to most every gym in the Irvine/Tustin/Costa Mesa area. Lifetime, Equinox, and ClubSport all had a plethora of squat racks, but the crowds were so overwhelming at peak hours that I always had to modify at least 25% of my routine. And let's not get started on the parking with those gyms. Smaller boutique gyms like Elev8 were better, but had either much older or sub-par equipment. Often times, I'd be working out with mismatched D-handles or on a machine where the padding was so worn I could feel the metal pressing into me. Ark Fit is something else entirely. I workout at 5:00pm 3 days a week and never have any issues getting my workouts through. Although there are only 3 squat racks, most people seem to know what they are doing and get through their movements efficiently. People are respectful and rack their weights. But where Ark Fit really shines is with its machines. This is as close to a bodybuilder's dream as you can get. The Atlantis equipment is all new (as of 2024) and well maintained. Everything has fine increment adjustments and multiple ergonomic adjustments. This level of equipment is something you only see in the highest quality gyms and at professional sports facilities. I mean hell... PENDULUM SQUAT. Need I say more? read more

I have so much love for Ark! First and foremost, the gym is stunning and the darker interior creates a safe, calm, and intimate vibe. I love all of the machines and equipment they offer and the bathrooms are perfectly lit and always clean. The group classes are very fun and challenging. The format is easy to follow and they have coaches walking around the room to ensure our form is good. Each workout can be modified so don't be intimidated if you're a beginner! The workouts are innovative and effective. Make sure to always sign up when they have a challenge workout! It will humble you. THE STAFF IS AMAZING. Love every single one of them and they are always so helpful when I need assistance. They're also fun to talk to and they love it when we loiter at the front desk ;) The biggest takeaway is that Ark helped me overcome gym anxiety and limiting beliefs. With regular gym memberships, I would go in and work out with my AirPods and leave. At Ark, I get to meet awesome people so it feels more like a community. The group classes are transformative and educative because the coaches help me with my form and they challenge me to add more weight or reps because they know I have the capacity to do so. I've been a member of the Ark Fit for almost a year and ahalf now. By far the greatest asset in this community are their trainers. ALWAYS patient, ALWAYS professional, ALWAYS focused on your progress and ALWAYS keeping you motivated. Special shout out to Michelle Lockwood and Kevin Kerns who are the two coaches I work closest with. But really every one of them is amazing. For context I'm a 50 something yr old guy that up til a year ago hadn't worked out for a good 25 years. Naturally it was hard at first but thanks to this amazing community I once again feel confident and strong about my physical wellness. You can either sign up for 50 minute coached classes on a monthly membership. Or you can do open gym just like your average gym membership. As far as the coached classes go I can say with all confidence that ARK FITNESS is the best in Orange County. I did price and tried a few other places that offered cross fit and/or a combination of cardio/strength classess. But the coache's focus or their pricing didn't compare to ARK FITNESS. Can't say enough about how much I love Ark Fit! This is the first gym I've ever been consistent with. From the moment you walk in, you notice their new location has a chic, modern interior design - black interior, arches mirrors, wooden slats, a marble concierge. It's very welcoming and the interior and equipment are all brand new and very clean. The other gym members are also respectful about using machines/equipment. The open gym has a large free weights section, and multiple cages/squat racks and open areas for functional training. It's also never feels overcrowded. What really sets this place apart from other gyms to me though are the awesome trainers. They not only give great instruction in a friendly way, but they also remember little things about you and your fitness which make the group classes feel personalized and guided. I love how the classes are set up. All you have to do is show up, and all the equipment, exercises, etc are already taken care of. The trainers can also help with choosing what weight you should start at, racking the bars, and fixing your form. read more

Pros: If you wanna work out at a gym where you have free weights and not waiting for an elliptical or a squat platform this is the best place to be. It's secluded. It's very much open space as well as friendly and has a great ambience. Great equipment with great employees Cons : from a Christian perspective, I would say that the music that does get played in this gym is a little bit inappropriate and offensive If you're looking for a Christian Gym, this gym is Christian in the communal sense maybe but when it comes to wanting an overall Christian based gym experience not so much also the mission statement of the gym is Christian based and the name has a cross but that's pretty much all that's Christian about it. Maybe it's because I haven't been there a long time so I'm probably biased but if you're looking for a Christian Gym with over Christian principles and values displayed then there are other alternatives. read more

Wow! What can I say about this amazing gym! I was hesitant to join due to the amount but it's definitely worth it. All the trainers and staff are motivating and friendly. Donald, Elizabeth, Erik, Jeiel, Kevin, Michele, Stephanie and Tobias. -Donald's approach to his training is where everyone can do it. -Elizabeth I only met a few times but she helped me with the recovery room. -Erick is at the front desk usually greets me or saying bye as I leave. -Jeiel's approach is quiet but gets the job done. -Kevin's approach is friendly and inviting. -Michele's approach is sweet and fun. -Stephanie's approach is genuine and fun. -Tobias's approach is gentle and motivating. Lol I have been going to the classes and gym for about almost a month now. I took the free two classes and one open gym. You do get a free recovery once you sign up. There are monthly memberships but also packages if you don't come regularly. The recovery room is extra but I think it's worth it. You can just use the open gym and/or add classes (13) a month or unlimited. The gym is never crowded, never dirty and my favorite people actually clean their station and put the weights back. The gym also dimmed if you like it that way. I'm waiting for when there is more options in weights as 8,12/12.5,17.5/18 lbs etc. I feel this gym helped me to continue to go regularly and to take care of my physical and mental health. There are lockers with four digit codes you can create. Plenty of parking as well. The recovery room is optional but it's private so you can use it for the 30-45 min window. For classes and (recovery room if you purchase) have to be booked on the app once you sign up. For those who are Christian it's a great gym if you can want to do praise and worship once a month. If you aren't a Christian you aren't forced but everyone is welcome. I was able to meet the owner and his wife and family. Very lovely people. I wasn't sure to write a review because I don't want the gym to be packed! Lol But I am glad I did so others can be motivated as well. As someone who took Marching band in highschool instead of PE, I came into the Ark Fit knowing close to nothing about fitness. I have pretty bad gym/ social anxiety, so when my coworker referred me to the Ark Fit, I was honestly hesitant and scared, but now I am beyond happy that she encouraged me to give it a try. From the first day I walked in the door, I was greeted by a welcoming, professional, and informative staff. Not only that, but all of the gym members are so kind, and took time to talk to me even when I was super nervous and shy. What I love about this gym is that they focus a lot on teaching you the fundamentals of building a healthy fitness lifestyle, and not just numbers on the scale. Through the transformation program, they provided me with meal plans, weekly full body scan weigh ins, and 1 personal training session per week. On top of that you are set up with an accountability coach, who you can contact with any questions or advice you might need. My trainer was Marbella, and she was absolutely amazing! She was kind, patient, motivating, and incredibly informative. She even offered as one of the training sessions to go to the grocery store to teach me how to shop for nutritious foods and read nutrition labels. I'm now at my goal weight, and feel the best physically and mentally then I have in a while. You're paying for a community and a gym that's not overcrowded. This is definitely more of a luxury than name brand gyms but there's a culture that's not as stuffy as the boutique gyms. They offer HIIT classes that are basically sessions with a personal trainer. Ive had other personal trainers quote me one session at half the price of the monthly premium. My wife and I wanted to start working out after our first kid and this has been the best transition. Other gyms are so salesy, crowded, and the equipment is not well maintained. At Ark Fit the atmosphere is clean, quiet and modern. The staff is very nice and welcoming. My wife and I were worried about getting into the groove of working out, this experience has seamlessly become apart of our daily routine. We can't wait for the work out class and do a nightly debrief about the stations. There was no shame about where we're at and if you fall on your butt in the middle of the class it's not a scene, I've done it a handful of times, I know. This is a pretty cool gym! Love the dim lighting aesthetic. And I love that it's not super duper crowded like most commercial gyms. They honestly have everything you need and more. The only downside is that the locker room is pretty small, and they only have 1 small shower. They also have a no camera recording policy as well. Which is both good and bad! The classes here are F45 style I think, with multiple stations set up. I took the full-body class and it was pretty difficult because of the threshold interval training style. I've taking multiple HIIT, Tabata, weightlifting, you name it, but threshold interval training is by far one of the most difficult/uncomfortable types. Ex: you have 100 seconds to clear 15 calories on the airbike, repeat 4-5 times. The only break you get is if you finish your set early. The classes here I think do get pretty big, probably 20+, but its okay because there's TV screens for you in case you get lost. The instructors here are pretty nice and knowledgeable as well. This gym is incredible! The staff is always cheery and friendly, I love all the instructors. I attend the group classes which are NEXT LEVEL! I looove the music! They have a great sound system and the music is a custom DJ mix that gets you movin'! The exercise equipment is by far the highest quality I have ever seen in a public gym. The group classes never get easier. Each class pushes me through what I believe is my limit. I feel absolutely incredible when I leave and that energy flows into all aspects of my life.
