Overall, I had a decent meal at Arley Coffee Shop. The catfish nuggets were tasty and well-seasoned, but I did find the portion size to be on the smaller side for the price. The crinkle-cut fries could have used a bit more seasoning or salt to really shine, and the hush puppies were slightly undercooked in the center. Despite these minor issues, I would give the catfish nuggets another try and explore some of the other side options on the menu. Shitty, I had called in for 2 extra large arley fries with extra bacon ranch and cheese the cheese wasn't melted fully I was given extra of the bacon cheese or ranch either. No utensils were given either which is just common courtesy. I've been working at restaurants off and on for years and I have never seen a restaurant with this kind of ill characterized care for the food these guys need to be shut down they suck ass I'm getting tired of eating at a place that can't even serve their customers what the customer asks this is embarrassing. read more

We like to support local businesses while traveling. This time this restaurant was a big disappointment. Had lunch - sweet tea wasn't very sweet. My hamburger bun wasn't very fresh, seem to be sitting out a while. Husband had chicken sandwich that he also said bun was very old, and smooshed. Lunch was just OK. Waitress never checked on us - preferred to be sitting outside smoking/vaping. Even after we paid the bill, we passed her sitting outside and never got a thank you from her. I know this is a small local cafe, but if they want to have return customers that travel the area - they need to do a better job. read more

Maybe it's bc me and my friends are not locals that we got the treatment we did. You could tell the waitress didn't want to wait on us. We ordered 2 sandwiches and that was it, no fries or anything and we waited over 30 min and never got them. I also had coffee and every table around me got offered a refill and they never offered me one. My friend went to the counter and ask them if our sandwiches were ready we would just get them to go and they just then started making them. There was only 2 other tables in there when we ordered and they don't got there food and left. We told them we wouldn't be needing our food they hadn't even checked on us the whole time but was doing really great about checking the other tables. I recently moved to the Arley area and have given this place a try for multiple breakfasts, lunch and dinner. Prices are very reasonable, but food is mediocre at best. The service is very inconsistent and at times they can be rude. They say they serve breakfast until 10:30, but that's a flat out lie. I've been turned away on at least 4 different times when I've gone for breakfast and arrived around 10:10 to 10:15 or so. Had the same experience with dinner when arriving around 7:30 to 7:40 PM when they are supposedly serving until 8:00 PM. I finally asked what their real hours for breakfast are and when they close for dinner when I was turned away for breakfast for the forth time at 10:15 AM. I was told that it depends... if they are busy then they stop taking breakfast orders early. In my experience, they NEVER have allowed me or my family to order breakfast any time we've arrived after 10:00 AM despite saying they serve it until 10:30. It seems that they haphazardly decide to stop whenever they want to stop serving it sometime after 10:00 AM. During our conversation the woman cooking chimed in quite rudely from the back saying "we can't cook breakfast with burgers"... which I find ironic because they serve a burger which has egg on it as well as BLTs... which means that outside of pancakes, grits and hash browns... they serve pretty much everything that's on their breakfast menu as a component in their lunch and dinner menu. As for dinner... don't dare show up after 7:30 or they'll turn you away then as well. All in all I'd sun it up this way: Prices are very reasonable. Breakfast is good... if they'll serve it to you! Arrive before 10:00 AM if you want breakfast!! Lunch and dinner are mediocre at best. Arrive before 7:30 or they'll turn you away unless nobody is sitting in the restaurant. And their menu is pretty limited. In the future I'll just drive a few extra miles to Jacks in Curry as they serve breakfast until 11:00 AM... meaning you can arrive and order by 10:59 and get breakfast. Jacks honors its meal serving hours as posted, prices are reasonable, food is good, options are many, and people are more friendly! read more

Arley fries! OHMERGAHD. There are only a few choices in Arley but just to get the Arley fries is worth the stop. As others have said, the restaurant is definitely having an identity crisis. We spend a lot of time in coffee shop. I mean, a lot. I would never call this a coffee shop at all. But it is a lovely little local town restaurant where everyone knows each other. The food was quite good and I think I have made the point about the Arley fries. :) I am not a ranch dressing person but man, their's is delicious and is a must with the fries. The food is good...the service is good even during busy times...the atmosphere is good. It's a country shop in a small country town. And I love to find these treasures. *I cannot dock them because they don't offer a vegetarian menu. The staff are nice and courteous but I wouldn't expect anything other than a greasy plate of Sysco here. They mean well and they are friendly but this is a last resort. The food and the service was great! If you like the hometown feel, this is a place to eat. We ate here 4 different times while on vacation. First 2 times we had their catfish filets, delicious! Burgers are great as well as the fish fillets. If it's your first trip there get the Arley Burger if you are ok with Rye bread. Gabe burger is a gigantic double hamburger. My husband and I would eat here a lot because it was convenient . After the experience I had yesterday we will never eat at this place again. I had called in the order on my way there. Same order we get every time we eat here. He wanted a catfish plate with two extra fillets , and a popcorn chicken plate for myself.....Long story short when I get there she said its ready and takes my card , I ask how much it was (It is usually right at $20) and she says 34 and I ask why and she got an attitude and said because you got so many extra fish . I said I am not sure who took the order but I got what I always get and its never that price. She yelled I took the order !! I must have struck a nerve because she got out a paper menu and slung across the counter and said here and continued to swipe my card without my permission . I argued that she did not have my consent and she said well the food is already cooked. I went ahead and took food and thought I would take it up with the owner the next day ...... come to find out this lady was one of the owners....... my family and I will never eat at this establishment again ....... as for the charge on my card I disputed it and they will not get a penny from me .
