I stopped by Arlington Barbers on a Saturday as a walk-in. I'd been looking for a spot to get my beard cleaned up and remembered coming here a few years back. When I got there, there were already a few people waiting, so I figured I'd be sitting around for a bit. Surprisingly, the wait was really short--I was called up in less than five minutes before Achraf came out. Everything moved quickly, but it never felt rushed. Achraf was great. He did an awesome job with my beard, taking the time to shape it properly and make sure everything looked clean and even. I was really happy with how it turned out. We also ended up chatting about the World Cup, which made the whole visit more enjoyable and helped pass the time. Great service, friendly atmosphere, quick experience, and barely any wait. I'm not going to name the specific barber that did this to me because I don't want to affect their job security, everyone has a family to feed. However, I would highly recommend you ensure your barber cleans their clippers prior to giving you a skin fade. What felt like super hot clippers at first, turned into what you see in the picture. I didn't realize this immediately because I got a skin fade, but I was burned and am now researching cosmetic surgery or products that will fix this bald spot on my head. read more

Customer Service: 5/5 -Talking about a fantastic experience when it comes to a Barbershop, this place is it. Look, I get it, generally, barbers personalities tends to be a little dry. But I had an amazing service experience from Hamid. -My friend also went with me and he had just got his hair dyed and there were some spots on his scalps. However, his Barber went above and beyond to cleaned out the dye stains for my friend without an extra cost or request. More importantly, he did an amazing job. Talking about exceeding a Customer's experience. Price: 5/5 -I don't usually use the verbiage "very" as I find it peculiar to say something is "very". Anyhow, I will make an exception in this case. The price is definitely very inexpensive. Atmosphere: 5/5 -Clearly, the friendliness and ambiance of the Barbershop was exceptional. There are 3 other barbershops closer to my apartment (one is literally across the street) but I go out of my to come here because I've tried the others and none come close to this shop's quality & service. Plus, I will follow Hamid wherever he goes... he's the best! It's a new shop but these guys have been in the area for years, they left all the other shops and started their own so you're getting the best of the best. The other shops in the area sacrifice quality for quantity - they rush to get as many people in and out as possible, leaving you with a subpar haircut. The owner invited the best barbers at that other barbershop, and opened up here in December 2019. I walk past at least FOUR (4) other barbershops to come here. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I just left there after getting a haircut. The gentleman didn't even give me his name but I know that he was the only Asian gentleman in the facility. When I explained what I wanted, a mid length skin face and a blend on the upper sides to keep the curly look, he said he wouldn't be able to do that. I asked what he meant. He said he would either have to cut the whole side short or not at all. I was confused and just asked him to give me a skin fade on the sides and offered to show him a picture of what I wanted. He rolled his eyes and began the haircut. The entire time (maybe 30 minutes tops, most of which was spent shaving the edges of my beard) he was extremely agitated and upset by my simple request to get the haircut I wanted. Why do people do this? At the end when I asked him to give me the mirror so that I could see, he rolled his eyes again. I told him that one side looked less blended than the other and he just said "ok thank you" and began walking to check me out at the register. Then he told me the price was $40. Then he changed it to $45. It is cash only so I had to spend an additional $4 to remove cash from the ATM. All he did was do a mediocre halfway side shave and a beard edge up that he didn't even clean fully. For $45!! Absolutely ridiculous. Do not recommend. Wadi is a skillful barber. I've been using his services every two weeks for the past year. He does an excellent job on the fade. The fade is smoothly tapered. He spends near 40 minutes on my hair. He also carefully implements what I ask. He usually gets busy after 4pm. read more

My second time in here. As I mentioned before, being cash. I remembered that this time. I noticed that it seemed like clients who go all the time get amazing service. The guy before me was literally in on Friday, less than a week ago and only needed a touch up. Took over 45 minutes for that. My entire haircut took 16 minutes with the same barber. No I did not get a buzz cut and am not bald lol. I don't feel like everyone is treated the same. Additionally the barber nicked the back of my neck with the razor blade and didn't mention it. I rubbed the back of my neck afterward and had a small amount of blood on my hand. Glad they change the razors after every client. The other thing that really turned me off was they do not enforce their own face mask policy. I waited for about 45 minutes and the waiting area was full. A guy walked in with no mask one of the barbers told him he needed a mask. He asked if the had extra, the barber gave him one, and then the guy sat down with it on his hand and had a 30 minute FaceTime call while waiting. No one told him to put it on. And eventually the guy next to him took his off as well. They weren't even sitting apart. I will give these guys one more try I think but I'm not sure it's the right place for me. With the uneven treatment of clientele, COVID policies not being enforced, and the whole being cut aspect. This rating is just for the customer service since I didn't even get a chance to get a haircut. I made an appointment for 10:00 when the shop opens, got there a few minutes early to customers waiting outside. The barbers ended up opening a few minutes late. No biggie. We all sit down in the waiting area and the barbers acknowledge everyone but me (I'm the only female). It isn't until both barbers have clients in their chairs that one of them asks me if I have an appointment. "Yes, at 10:00." He then tells me that my barber isn't coming until 11... maybe 11:30. I really don't like posting reviews but I hope these barbers read this and realize 1) they should greet/acknowledge ALL customers INCLUDING females and 2) you have my phone number, you should have called to let me know you were running late. Got my haircut by Said, did a great job executing a medium skin fade. Took about 20ish minutes and only waited about ten minutes to start. $20 is the best you're going to get in the area for value and quality here- whereas elsewhere charges around $30 and takes close to an hour to cut your hair. They give really good cuts here and I thought I would go here forever. Recently I showed up at 6:20 to try and get a hair cut after driving 30 minutes from hair cut. I got kicked out because the barbers said they were too busy and they close at 7, which I'm aware of. This barber shop is owned by Hamid, a local barber to North Arlington for as long as I've lived here. Hands down the best hair cuts in town. I'm glad he's opened a brand new shop with plenty of easy parking and just a short walk from Clarendon / Ballston. Hamid opened up his shop with several colleagues from a previous business and they are quite frankly the best barbers I've ever paid for. I started getting haircuts once a week with Hamid a few years back and have since changed my flow so I do it now less frequently. Absolutely no change in quality. Being from Morocco, I'd say that they support a very European / professional soccer approach to haircuts. For the dudes, generally a pro Barcelona player style haircut works well with the opposite sex. Shop has brand new TVs and plenty of space and has adjusted superbly to the COVID new normal. Lastly, they offer flexible hours of operation, so show up whenever. Definitely check them out and see who you work with best. Be sure to explain what you want and they'll make it happen. read more
