I am extremely upset with my haircut I asked for a taper in the back, got a McDonald's logo in the back. AND YALL MESSED UP MY SIDEBURN. one side is normal, the other is high and wide. Yall are so inconsistent I couldget a good cut or a horrible one. An older person cut my hair he has a mustache. He messed me up so bad. read more

This was my first time at Willy's, and it will be my last. My barber did not even bother to ask what exactly I wanted when he started to cut my hair. When I told him, I was probably ignored. I am unsure if it was due to a language barrier, but my barber did not seem to understand my simple instructions. Being a man, I don't often get bad haircuts because my haircut isn't difficult. I have never received a haircut that I hated until now. I got the worst haircut of my life, and it only took ten minutes because of how reckless my barber was. It looks like I have a bald patch on my head, because my haircut is highly uneven across my head. Unless you are a regular customer with a regular barber, I would be careful coming here. read more

It's always interesting trying a near barbershop for the first time but I was pleased with my experience. I called to make an appointment and was greeted at the door upon my arrival. But they also do walk-ins as well from what I was able to tell. The environment was warm welcoming and friendly. My barber - Tarek, was meticulous and listened closely to what I was looking for in a hair cut. I find that showing a picture of what you want (from a precious cut of mine) tends to work best when looking at a new place. Tarek was exceptionally kind and friendly to talk to throughout my haircut. It was like talking to an old friend. If you're looking for a fair priced great place to get a skin fade or something specific this is the place to go. read more

I had the African American woman. Told her i wanted a trim on top, and she proceeded to cut it however she wanted with probably 2 inches off (a lot). Ended up with a standard male haircut when I wanted something more styled. Blending in the back was poor. I wonder if she's new or doesn't have customers telling her she didn't cut it right and so doesn't improve. I used to like this place. Won't be returning. read more

Here's his story: I've been getting my hair cut in the area for a while, but I'm always annoyed I have to schedule 5 weeks in advance at most places. I needed a haircut fast and stumbled on Willys and risked it for the biscuit. Amin hooked it up, and gave me a clean skin fade. I had a work event in Baltimore the next day, and I got tons of compliments. Amin charges $25, gets the job done quick, and is nice to talk to. Highly recommend getting your cut here. read more

I've been going to Willy's for a few years now and have had a number of the barbers there. I've been extremely happy with the quality hair cuts I get here and I continue to refer friends and family. At $25 a cut you can't really ask for more. I get a better hair cut there than I have gotten at fancy DC and Arlington hair salons. At present, I'm seeing Amin there. He's skillful, attentive, asks good questions, and adjusts well to my requests. Once he learned/understood well what I wanted, he's been delivering a consistent, great haircut and also going above and beyond with styling my hair after the haircut, which I really appreciate. Fresh to Death! I've been going to Willy's barbershop ever since I moved here (~2 years ago) and haven't entertained another barbershop. A regular haircut with a razor shave is $17. I usually drop a $20 and call it a day. It is cash only, and if you don't have cash, an atm is conveniently located inside the shop. All the barbers there know their stuff and will help you figure out a hairstyle if you aren't sure what you want. The location is pretty small and can get pretty cramped fast. There's also hair everywhere, but that's to be expected from a barbershop. When a barber has down time, he/she usually brings out a broom or uses the hairdryer to blow hair away. I would recommend to call ahead and schedule an appointment as there's always a line. However the line does go pretty fast, but if you're in a time crunch and need a fresh trim, calling for an appointment is necessary. read more

Avoid this place like the plague. I live around the corner, I came in to fix an issue from a previous cut. I explained what I wanted, and it didn't get fixed. As they only take cash, they told me to get cash and come back which I did twice. When I came back with cash no one would take it from me. Today, I came back with cash the the guy that speaks English was there and he told me the problem was my hair. I felt like punching him. I paid $30.00 for a crap haircut. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE! They take their time and understand that their clients wants. You can't miss with anyone here, but Jose is my go to guy. Be prepared to wait, but it's worth it. I have tried these guys a couple of times now and have been happy with their work. I generally get my hair cut short and these guys do a good job with all basic styles. The added bonus with these guys is that I can get a shave done too for a reasonable cost! The one thing that bugs me is the strong cigarette smell in the shop - they need to be cognizant of customers who get turned off by smokers - especially if you are going to be cutting my hair! read more

I was a faithful 5-star fan for 4 years and for most of my 50+ haircuts. For years, it seemed as if they only hired the cream of the crop and every cut was essentially perfect. I recommended them to all my friends and I refused to stray. Willy's has grown and they have developed quite a following. As the business expanded, I found that some of the newer staff weren't as talented. For a time, I had several haircuts that needed additional self-alterations upon closer inspection at home. How do you screw up a short haircut? Eventually, I decided to stick with someone I trusted after a few bad cuts. My barber has moved on from Willy's and I've decided to follow. Willy's is a mile from my house, but I've decided that a 20-min drive is worth something tried and true. Thanks for several great years. This place is ok and fast if you want a certain type of haircut. And by that, I mean that every person who walks out of here gets the same haircut. It looks neat and clean-cut, but this is not the place to go if you're picky about your hair. My boyfriend's hair texture is harder so his hair stands up instead of laying flat if cut too short. A lot of places make that mistake and this is one of them. In addition, they shaved his neck about 1/2 an inch higher than his hair naturally ends, which looked really odd and even odder while growing out. Other than that, the hair was even after the cut and there were no real problems. It just wasn't for him. It's also not particularly cheap, so we didn't return after that one try. read more

I paid $40 for a haircut and beard and it took a grand total of maybe 20 minutes. I felt like I was getting rushed out. Seeing the beard job at home, it was not worth whatever it cost, lines are not perfect and I have to adjust by myself. Again, all in all an OK haircut but for $40? I walked into Willy's with high hopes from all of the reviews I had seen. I noticed many people recommended Arzu, especially for men with medium to longer hair so I decided to wait for her. My previous barber had completely destroyed my hair on the left side of my head, leaving part of it 1/4 the length of the rest. I was able to hide the damage to some extent, but it was clear that something had to be done. Arzu immediately noticed the issue and told me how she would fix it. She got to work, and assured me that after a few weeks of growth, my hair would be back to normal. After the appointment, I was a bit shaken because I hadn't seen my hair so short in over a year. Then the following morning, I reluctantly began to style my hair, assuming that the end result would be disappointing regardless of what I did. To my surprise, even at the shorter length my hair looked better than it had ever looked in my life. Arzu really knows what shes doing, and I can already tell that the cut is going to get better and better. I will definitely be back to see Arzu. As for the rest of the shop, the top dogs appear to have dominion over the left side of the shop, with the rest of the barbers occupying the remaining areas. I can't speak to their abilities, but taking a look around, I saw a lot of medium to difficult style cuts being performed. I would feel more confident walking in to this barber shop cold than I would others in the area. read more

I have been requesting this one guy, Wadia, he is phenomenal. There have been a few times that he has been off unexpectedly, and I was forced to use another stylist. The results we're still still really nice. The only problem with this place is the fact that they don't take appointments, so it's hard to gauge beforehand how long things a are gonna take. If you get there before 5, things move rapidly; after 5 and get ready to wait. Also, avoid Fridays, this is the day everyone is trying to get their groove on, so a fresh cut is almost mandatory and the place is packed. read more

Today my usual barber was out of town (Khalid the barber at gc), so a friend recommended willys barber shop. So I go there and I end up with Tarik, sets on the right most corner, I go for a haircut and a beard trim, the work was so sloppy, a two year old can do a better job. Even though I asked him to cut my hair even, one side was longer than the other, the beard line is uneven, and the more he tried to fix it up, the worst it got, I just decided to stop him, pay him and just leave.
