Blue raspberry and blue coconut snow cone
    Catherine P.

Authentic Mexican raspas!!!! Yes!! It's a small stand, but they make the most delicious snow cones. They are Mexican owned and have other items on the menu besides snow cones, like elote and aguas frescas. I got the medium size, half blue raspberry, half blue coconut, and it was only $2.50! Perfect for a hot day. Note: it is just a stand with only outside seating area. Plan to eat in your car or take it to go. Good prices and good snacks. 10/10 recommend

Houston Hot Weather has me like ... where's my snackies ?!?

Houston heat had us grumpy and we needed to cool off! Being close to home I barely discovered. The shaved ice is so soft and in the heat a little to soft. I had a pineapple snocone with pickle dust or so; definitely tasty. The Tostitos chips with corn and cheese decent but not a must have. A little pricey for your buck. A try here and there is worth it.

How did it take me so long to visit?? This place surpassed all expectations and is my new favorite after just one visit. I got a perfect pina colada snow cone (with soft ice that both required no spoon stabbing and didn't melt immediately in the Texas heat) and elote en vaso. Definitely the best elote I have EVER had in Houston! Dang, maybe I'll go back tomorrow! The logo is cute too- maybe next time I'll see if they have t-shirts or hats....

I'm mad that it has taken me so long to get over here. This place has alllllll the snacks. I love their remix to the traditional elote. They add mozzarella to it, which definitely gives it an extra layer of flavor and dimension. I also tried this thing with hot Cheetos, pickles, and chamoy. Can't recall the name of it, but it's awesome!! Spicy but very awesome. There's also these gummy candies in mango, watermelon, and pineapple, all with chili on them. Soo good. Reminded me of growing up and eating Lucas on the school bus. Lol. The snow cone was good too. It was tamarindo with coconut. The guy suggested it, and was spot on. If you try it, ask for the cream on top. The guy (I think his name is arnold.) was super nice and allowed me to sample some stuff before I made my selections. This place is pretty good. I plan to return soon. I only have on suggestion, all of the candies should come in a ziploc or some plastic wrap, instead of a styrofoam cup.

Customer service was spectacular. I love a good smile. Both the snocones we got with crema went hard hard if you know what I mean. I got the tigers blood and the flavors were so on point. My favorite tigers blood I've ever gotten and I get it everywhere. The other one we got was pretty shmackable too, piña colada and pink lemonade w/ tigers blood that one we put cream and the spicy salt on. Overall 10/10 experience. Check out my recent post on Instagram @SPACECITYSHMACKS. DEFINITELY APPROVED!!!!!

I had the pink leche with cream on top. The ice was super soft and the flavor was creamy and refreshing!!

Snow Cones are so soft and juicy!!! Only thing that made me give it 4 out of 5 is the fact that there's no restroom.

Corn in a cup - Elote
    Jessica H.

Best corn in a cup, hands down. If you love cheesy elotes, this is the spot to go. No need to ask for extra cheese! On top of that, their customer service is great, definitely recommend.

I've been trying to come here for the past 4 years of living here. But never had the opportunity to try it. Finally did last month and it is my go to place. Really nice people and amazing raspas and elote. Their elote is so cheesy an gooood! I always get a half pickle half tamarind raspas or half mango. It's really good. I would recommend this place for anyone and it's really great kids.

    Snow cones

Honestly... best snow cones in Houston. Customer service is an 11/10 every single time. Super family friendly and they always make you feel welcomed. And on top of that, every single item that I've ordered is delicious and comes out amazing. Plus it's pet friendly and a cool place to hang out. Y'all should stop by ASAP

My BMP calamansi margarita was distinct in its tanginess. Tried the veggie lumpias and brussel sprouts. The lumpias had tangy dipping sauce that might have been dominated by calamansi. More tang than savory. The brussel sprouts were standard but had a good portion. I tried to detect whether they used fish sauce but I couldn't tell. Ordered the daing na bangus (milkfish) as my entree. They gave me the whole fish and it threw me off that it was mostly deboned since I kept looking for the bones with my tongue and teeth. Fish was nice and crispy and the dipping sauce was more savory than what came with the lumpias. The garlic rice that came with the dish was smoky from that wok hay. Probably could have used a little more soy sauce for flavouring. My favourite dish was the turon dessert (fried bananas) along with the ube ice cream. The coconut sauce they used seemed more like caramel. I haven't eaten much Filipino food so I wasn't sure how authentic the dishes were. I was expecting a little more intensity in the flavours, and I don't know if it was toned down for their customers. There were around ten customers that night. The inside was beautiful and they have a two level patio that is perfect for nights like these. The service was very nice and the kitchen was faster than I expected.

I visited here frequently and I'm sad to see it shut down. Kazzan ramen in Osaka is a bit north of the main hub of Osaka, but one can hope they continue to try to spread their magic elsewhere. It was touching to see they'd trained (at least some) the staff to incorporate some of the tradition you'll see when in Japan such as greeting and goodbyes, even understanding phrases such as "okaikei onegai shimasu." Having lived in Japan, it was a nice touch. Food & Drink Kazzan ramen is an absolute delight. The stone bowl is so hot and keeps your ramen warm for the entire time you're enjoying it. They offer shio, shoyu, karamiso ramens. I personally loved the karamiso though their limited edition spicy version was great if looking for some heat. For appetizers, the black pepper edamame was a standout. Flavors of toasted sesame, maybe a touch of soy, with black pepper - . The cocktails were always delicious. They always had elevated cocktails with custom syrups and bitters. Definitely nice to see unique Japanese ingredients being incorporated into the cocktail scene. Service The service was always great, very attentive. Never had a want or need go long without being addressed. Staff was always making th rounds collecting plates, filling water, making sure you have everything. Pricing The ramen was a bit pricey even for US standards, which likely contributed to struggles but it was still delicious and worth visiting. I think a few bucks cheaper would have probably gone a long way. Or offering bundled pricing with cocktails or drinks to encourage more revenue while discounting. Though, I don't find it coincidental that this location has been plagued by multiple establishments not making it. That would indicate onerous lease rates and a potentially shrewd landlord. Overall This place will be missed and for anyone that does get a chance to visit them elsewhere, you won't regret it!

He brought waters and I ask for a hot green tea and one of my dining companions had already ordered hot green tea but the server forgot and had to be reminded. Someone else had asked for a Japanese soda but then changed their mind when the flavor was not what they wanted and told the server they wanted a Dr Pepper and the server brought the Japanese soda. I thought service would be more attentive since the restaurant was not busy. We also had to ask for water refills. I was told our table just turned over. The setups were not replenished and we kept having to ask for things. Were ordered apps and ramen and hot stone bowl items. They apps were brought to the table but we did not have plates.. so we had to ask for plates. One of the dining companions decided to get up and get chopsticks instead of waiting. When our entrees arrived the server kept passing the super hot item over from one side of the table instead of to each person. The food, the edamame was over cooked... so mushy. Takoyaki was ok. I ordered the Kazzan Shoyu. It was ok. Then it took a while for the bill to come, we were told they ran out of receipt paper. Sometimes it's the little details that make the difference. Not sure I would come back.
