I came 30 minutes before closing and it seemed like they were in a rush. The man at the front wasn't welcoming at all, and barely wanted to ask questions. I decided to go with the smallest size of tigers blood, and I am glad that I did. I couldn't even finish it... I ate a couple of bites and threw it away. The tigers blood flavor tasted like it was sugar free, and the ice could've been smoother. Beware that it's a $10 minimum fee for debit cards (i thought that it's illegal for a business to charge a minimum on debit). Luckily I had enough cash to pay for my snow cone. I'm a very frequent visitor to this establishment, not for the food but I love their win cones but lately the hours of operation inconsistent and really annoying... son cones are great but WHAt ARE THE ACTUAL hours of operation. The hours stated online and everywhere is 11:00am- 7:00pm closed on Sunday and Monday. I came to the establishment one day at 6:00 pm and they had signs up stated they had no burgers, I asked why they say they turned off the grill... why and yall don't close until 7:00 pm as stated on your hours. I have been there many of times excluding holidays on Saturdays and they have been closed. I love the place but I hate how they open and close when they feel like it. You look online they say open and I drive all the way over there and they are closed... no signs or notice to say why ... if I ask the next time... oh we had a family emergency... is allllll the employees in the family.... They need to think about the customers who they serve and faithfully come and drive out of their way. If you post hours of operation that is what is expected...I stop coming because I hate being disappointed and it has been a lot in the past 2 months. Unacceptable and not good customer service. Passed this spot while one the south side of Houston. Stopped because there were tons of cars. The prices were decent. I ended up getting a footlong chili cheese dog basket, meaning it comes with fries and an egg roll. So...be prepared to wait outside or in your car. There are a couple chairs to wait for food, but there is no where to eat. The food took a good 30 minutes and they forgot the fries and I had go back and wait another 10 minutes. Customer service was pretty good, they fixed the order no problem. Food was hot and enjoyable, it is defiantly good munchie food or "fast food". The snow cones looked bomb. I will get one next time. FYI it is 40 degrees here at noon on Feb 5 and everyone in line behind me ordered snow cones which should tell you how good they are. Shaved ice and heavy on the syrup served with a spoon and a straw and napkin every time. Every flavor there is including the hard to find ones like Dill Pickle and Tiger Blood. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger basket which is still my favorite. Juicy patty cooked on a flat top and griddled buns with that old fashioned goodness. Fries are a generous portion and thick cut without being steak fries and are always seasoned perfectly and somehow still just the right amount of both crispy and greasy. I can't articulate it better than that. Expect a slight wait as everything is made to order. Very worth it though and this is one of those well kept secrets by those in the area. read more

The shaved ice sno-cones are what this place is basically known for. The sno-cones are good! They also have a food menu which consists basically of quick foods/snacks. I ordered a hamburger basket since I was starving! The burger was dry and the buns were toasted too long and burnt. The fries were there but nothing tasted extra ordinary. By the way, if you don't ask for ketchup none is given. The fries are tasteless so please don't forget to ask like I did. There's always a crowd and parking is terrible. If you order food with your sno-cone, you will be called to the window to pick up your sno-cone first, then called back again later for your food. 3 stars but I see no reason to go back. Ive always heard of the Red Wagon and have to say... its nothing to write home about. This place is more hype than anything and I completely understand the mixed reviews. First off I ordered a shrimp basket with my snow cone and the food was certainly made to order. Everything was hot and had been freshly prepared. Also in terms of the price point for the food I think its comparable for the quality. I was turned off the second I reached the widow to order. The opaque screen window means I cant see who I'm talking to and they cant see me. And leaning down to talk into the lower half gives me jailhouse vibes. You know how they be crouching down to talk through the slot when the CO walks up? Yeah thats how I felt. They also failed provide an itemized receipt. They only gave me the credit card print out that showed my total. While waiting for my order I overheard another customer complain about the amount of syrup on her snow cone and the Wizard of Oz behind the window told her it was $1 more to extra juice. But the menu says it's .55. See, this is why I need an itemized receipt. Snow Cones- Love the ice. It's so soft and fluffy it just melts in your mouth. They've certainly got that down pat. However, they play too many games with the nickle and diming. EVERYTHING is extra and trust me, no one would enjoy a snow cone without extra juice here. They are VERY sparing with the syrup. They basically force you to spend more money to have a decent experience. But I ordered extra juice and there were still patches of ice that didn't have syrup. I feel like if I order extra juice the top should be blanketed with juice at a minimum. I don't have time for the red wagon. Don't price a snow cone at $2.50 if I have to order $3.00 more in upgrades to enjoy it. My snow cone was delish, it was Tiger Blood and Cotton Candy w/ extra juice of course. I originally stopped by just for the snow cone but returned 30 minutes later because my Uncle was on his way out of the door. He usually have something on the stove but not today, so I went back for a hamburger and fries.
