I'm so happy to say that I found my new dentist. He takes a holistic biological approach to dentistry, which I really appreciate. He sat and answered all of my long list of questions thoroughly, and in one particular case that I was worried about, he actually recommended not doing something (a procedure) that another dentist had recommended and wanted to charge me for. Dr. Nejad took a much more conservative approach--he was able to save the tooth with an onlay instead of a full crown, and he also replaced my old crown with something that finally looks and feels natural. We do want dental work so we agreed to pay not knowing exactly what type of cosmetic dental work we were going to sign up for on their plan. So we went ahead with the x-rays and let them take a few pictures of our teeth we were there less than an hour and gave them 10,000. However when it came down to it they would not let us use our money for any dental treatments. We were only allowed to use our $10,000 if we continue to give them another $30-$80,000 for veneers. We gave them 10,000 upfront with the reassurance that we would be allowed to have that as a credit at this office for ANY treatment or service. However, when we decided to use it for Invisalign and bonding with this offiand other cosmetic dental services we were not allowed to use it and they will not return our $10,000 and will not allow us to use the money for dental work at this office unless we want to give them another $60-$80,000 for a mouth full of veneers. We were completely lied to during our consult and feel completely scammed and conned by this office. We did not sign up for their $80,000 veneer plan we only wanted some basic cosmetic work. Upfront they said our deposit is for ANY service at this office we would like to apply towards. Clearly we will be seeking legal help with this issue However do NOT use this office it was a complete scam do not give them money upfront unless you are planning on purchasing an entire mouth full of veneers 60-70k. We feel completely scammed and conned considering during our consult we were told any money you pay down with us we will let you use for any treatment at this office and it was a complete lie. After paying the $10,000 we called to start our treatment which were told we had to do 1 to 2 years of Invisalign upfront but then he was not going to allow that to be applied to our $10,000 we've already paid. We were lied to during our consult and told go ahead and pay 5000 each which total $10,000 and you can use this money to any service cosmetic at this office so we did it and they completely lied to us they will not allow us to use the money unless we do their plan that they chose for our teeth which includes a minimum of 10 veneers each on us. Do not go here unless you want to spend an absolute fortune and possibly get nothing in return. We got absolutely nothing except a few X-rays and a few photos and they have $10,000 of our money that they will not let us use unless we want to give them a fortune for a mouth full of veneers. They told us We will not be allowed to use this money for any treatment as they told us during our consult we could use or otherwise we wouldn't pay them as we had no idea what we were going to do to our teeth. We now are only allowed to use it if we continue to give them tens of thousands of more money for a mouth full of veneers totally 60k and up for us. It was a total scam and con job. I relied on his professional recommendation, but the resulting treatment completely altered my life and health. He placed me on an aggressive treatment plan that included a root canal and fillings for four minor cavities. However, this was initiated without x-ray verification, a bite test, a referral to an endodontist, or clear diagnostic proof that a root canal was clinically required. Following the root canal, I developed a severe, systemic infection at the site. Prior to this procedure, I was completely healthy. Since then, I have been dealing with chronic, debilitating health issues, including systemic inflammation, severe joint and gut pain, immune system complications, persistent illness, and cognitive fog. The physical and financial toll has been overwhelming. I am currently living in ongoing pain and undergoing multiple expensive surgeries with specialists to attempt to correct and reverse the extensive structural and medical damage caused by this procedure. When reviewing other patient experiences, I noticed consistent patterns regarding aggressive overtreatment, poor execution, and a lack of accountability. Choosing to receive care here has resulted in long-term physical suffering and extreme financial strain. Unfortunately, I never got past having my x-rays taken. As I explore different estimates for a procedure, I have been trying my best to obtain the photos and x-rays that they charged me $100 to take. Below, I have shared my exchanges with the office manager, Tamari, who insinuated that I had already received the x-rays while we were on a call solely focused on Dr. Paul O'Malley's diagnosis--which did not include my x-rays. I even requested them directly after our call, as they were still not sent to me, but my request was ignored. In multiple emails, Tamari claimed to have sent them--first by email, then via Dropbox--but I have received neither. It is not unreasonable to request access to your own health information, especially after paying for it and traveling a considerable distance for the appointment. I write this not out of malice but in the hope of bringing attention to office practices that may be harming both clients and the business itself. I have since submitted a HIPAA complaint to obtain my images, as I refuse to expose myself to unnecessary radiation by retaking x-rays at other offices when I have already undergone the extensive imaging required here. While this dentist possesses the right knowledge and expertise, a lack of oversight over office practices makes it a gamble on the level of attention and service one might receive.
