Armeene saved my wedding day! I originally bought my dress from a local bridal shop that promised many customizations. They phoned it in for all of them. Sloppy work for everything. Some of it was ignorable or blended in enough to ignore, but specifically a belted area around the waist ended up noticeably sloppy and wider than I wanted. They made a bunch of excuses and shooed me out the door. I couldn't even look at the dress without being mad - not a great wedding day vibe. Armeene came to my rescue with only two weeks left until the wedding! She was clear with me that it would be difficult to pull off - the dress was constructed in a way that made the customization difficult (why did the dress shop even promise it?? Ugh). After reading her great reviews, I decided to trust Armeene with my wedding dress. I had a lot of things that needed to be changed, so I was very nervous that if I went with the wrong person, I might not have a wearable dress by the end of it. However, Armeene did a beautiful job and was reasonably priced! If you choose to have her alter your wedding dress, you'll know your dress will be in good hands. Also, she is incredibly friendly and has such a lovely personality. I greatly enjoyed working with her! Now onto what I got done. I knew when I bought my dress that I wanted a few things to happen: close or hide the trending deep V in the front, add detachable straps (I ordered them from the bridal studio), and take in the bust. I also need some regular alterations, hemming the dress, bustle, and taking it in a bit. She made all the changes happen and they looked absolutely amazing! I was very happy with how it turned out. I was disappointed with my experience. One thing I think should be made clear before scheduling is that this business operates out of the owner's home. I wasn't aware of that until I arrived. I also wasn't informed ahead of time about the home's policies, including that children are not allowed. I completely respect someone's right to set rules for their home, and if I had known in advance, I would have arranged childcare. Instead, I drove all the way there only to be turned away and asked to reschedule. Unfortunately, that inconvenience could have been avoided with better communication before the appointment. Armeene tailored my wedding dress and she was PHENOMENAL. Before going to Armeene, my mother and I checked out another tailor, but during the consultation felt as if we were being pushed to make alterations we didn't want, not being heard for what we did want, and just another customer. When we came to Armeene, however, we were treated SO well--she welcomed us in and offered us water and snacks, getting to know us before the consultation started. When it did begin, she first let me explain what I wanted the dress to look like in the end and asked me clarifying questions to help her make it happen. She gave suggestions rather than telling me what I "have to do" to the dress. Throughout the alterations process, Armeene met with us THREE times, always with the utmost friendliness and attentiveness. She went above and beyond--adding both a bustle and a wrist strap for no additional fee (and putting two buttons for the bustle so that the dress wasn't asymmetrical), using a scrap of the dress to see if it could be washed instead of dry cleaned (without us asking her to), and REMAKING the dress straps because they were not perfectly white and could be more comfortable (it was a bridal shop sample dress before I received it). The dress was PERFECT after her alterations. Fit me like a glove, stayed in place, was comfortable, and flared/fit exactly where I wanted it to. Not only that, but Armeene's services were very affordable, ESPECIALLY for their quality. I needed to get my wedding dress tailored and since I don't trust the one I've gone to before I've been searching for a new one. Armeene was super responsive to my texts and I was able to drop off my dress the next day. She advised bringing the shoes that I was going to wear so that we could make sure that the length of the skirt falls where it needs to. I tried on the dress and she pinned all the places that needed adjusting. She asked me the date that I needed to have the dress ready by and was able to fit me in to the schedule. It took about 3 weeks for my dress to be ready, although now that wedding season is picking up, it might take longer at this time. When I went to pick up my dress I tried it on again to make sure that it fit better and it did, much better. My adjustments were pretty minimal though, I only needed to make the skirt shorter and shorten the straps a bit. Small changes, but they made a big difference. I've also taken a couple pair of pants in to get hemmed, and they turned out great as well. She doesn't do denim pants, but any formal or work pants are fine. Definitely recommend Armeene for any alterations that need to be done for formal events. She is so sweet and accommodating and I'm glad to have found her to do my alterations. read more

Armeene's likes to meet 2 weeks before your wedding to get started on alterations, she and I had agreed to meet in mid September and my wedding is early October 2025. Unfortunately I missed the appointment due to family medical emergency. I tried to apologize and see if any other day or time worked and she wrote me off saying to find another tailor. Mind you this 2 weeks before my wedding. I tried calling her to see if we could work anything out. But she didn't take my call and texted me saying don't except a call back from me there's nothing to work out. I begged once more through text apologizing repeatedly but she never responded afterwards. I understand I missed the appointment and acknowledged it's on me but I literally broke out crying because it's been overwhelming wedding planning and caring for my grandmother. She showed me no sympathy and my husband found me crying in the bathroom and helped find another tailor. I can't speak on her ability to tailor because I never got to see it. But I can speak on her lack of kindness and understanding. All this to warn you to be sure not to miss your appointment. This review isn't to scare off clients away because I don't wish her any ill will, I know she's going to continue to get business which is fine. Don't request pricing on the phone, Armeene will cut you off and say you have to come in for a consultation for pricing, which I understand. So I set an appointment for an upcoming date. Armeene then texted me to confirm the consultation for tomorrow which I requested to change in advance due to last minute work stuff, then she said she does not make second appointments and to text her the day of to see " when she's available ". Armeene is the sweetest lady in the entire world! I bought a $50 dress online that had issues with the zipper wrinkling up. She knew in an instant what the issue was and gave me an instant quote, but like the mom she is, she said it wasn't worth the price of the dress to get it altered since it wasn't that noticeable.
