Enjoyed my first time here at Happy Wine! It is a wine bar but not super fancy where you need to come overdressed. Their main food situation is tapas and they do have some meal options. The bottle we ordered was very good! Don't really like how they show you that if you dine in and have a bottle it's $20 more than if you were to buy to go. The tapas we got were not out of this world, but some were good! The patatas brava I found to be dry. The ham Croquetas were amazing as well as the pulpo. I liked the jam that came with the cheese board. The basque cheesecake was so delicious and so is there vanilla ice cream. My recommendation to this place is to have seat with back support i was in so much pain after I left here lol Server was nice and informative. The vibe was chill, but not like dingey. Its a comfortable place to come with friends

I have been wanting to come here for a while. I always see it while driving. It is such a good spot ! The vibe is on point. A great spot to go with friends or a date. I saw lots of birthday celebrations. There was a live band also. It has good tapas nibbles. Drinks were refreshing. Service was excellent. Easy parking. Reasonable prices. Definitely coming back here again.

I went here for a welcome party as part of a bridal party and omg their happy hour was so good!! The wine selection is vast!!! The appetizers were amazing we got meatballs, croquettes, and calamari. I didn't take much photos given the occasion. But the decor was so cute the reuse wine corks as napkin rings the wine crates as wall decor. The service was amazing given a large group they kept up with us and we never wanted for anything.

Happy Wine is an interesting little place, both a wine shop and a restaurant (as well as a place for happy hours). It is difficult to find (on the same side of the street as flannigans and right before a little strip center, and it's directly across the street from the neon green building housing Grove Gallery & Interiors. There are a couple of parking spaces out front, and also some out back. We went for their amazing lunch special, which is $20 including tax and tip, an appetizer, main, dessert...AND a glass of wine, beer, Sangria or soda. English didn't seem to be anyone's main language the day I went. So somehow I ended up with a chicken Caesar salad, which I'm not a fan of. I'd ordered the grilled chicken with a side salad. They made things right, and it was delicious. Oh, and both my friend and I started things off with the ham croquetas and aioli, which were great. She ordered the skirt steak and diced potatoes, which looked fantastic. We both got the almond cake and ice cream for dessert. All I can say is yum, make a reservation, and check this cute little upscale bistro like place out. I guess happy hour will be my next venture here.

Absolute GEM! MUST stop in for happy hour or date night. This insanely cute and aesthetic wine bar offers the friendliest service in Miami, an insane happy hour menu, and the best vibes. The meatballs and patatas bravas were so insanely good. I'm dying to come back and try the artichoke from their full dinner menu. A happy hour glass of Sancerre for $8 is *chefs kiss*

I have been here a few times and have had great experiences however today the grilled romaine took 40 minutes and the server even got his steak before my appetizer. The last time I had it had more flavor and today was more on the bland side so I'm not sure and I would try something different next time. The dirty plate is still sitting in front of me and I have been here an hour. I think they are busy getting ready for the dinner shift and definitely they don't care about me. But I will be back because I really like the place and maybe they just care more about prepping for Saturday night?

A gem in the grove. Large selection of wines and tapas. The food was amazing. On the weekends they have live music. The staff was attentive and helpful. Can't wait to go back.

Haven't been here in yeaaaars and it definitely impressed me! They rearranged the wines so it covers the walls and surrounds the entire restaurant, giving such a great vibe, like you're having tapas in a wine cellar! The service was excellent, and very attentive. The food, woaaahhhhh. Just woah. I've had many tapas style meals before but this transported be back like we were actually in Spain/italy. Went for my Dad's birthday and he said it gave him the same Spain feels he had when he was there. Overall, Will be coming back here often! 10/10!

We arrived to try out the Miami Spice Menu. The food was excellent!!!! Everything was portioned correctly and seasoned incredibly. The oxtail on polenta is out of this world and the churrasco steak was also. The dessert just finished a great meal. The glass of wine that that came with the meal just hit the spot ( and I am not a wine drinker). The service was great all the way through. They were there when you needed them and left you alone to enjoy your meal. The place is what you expect from a wine/tapas place. The ambiance is great with its music and it makes you feel like you have been transported away to Spain. Loved it and can't wait to go back?

I have been to happy wine a few times now and y'all I will continue to go back! I've quickly become a regular. The wine selection is spectacular and the food does not fall behind! I've tried so many tapas by now and all are divine! The charcuterie board (tabla mixta) and manchego croquetas are always a must! Definitely go!

My sister is a regular at Happy Wine Grove so she decided to celebrate my mom's bday here on Saturday evening. We had the BEST time! Our server (& fellow Tico) Moises was wonderful. Honestly, everyone we encountered & everything we ate/drank was fantastic! We started with a red wine on the house then I moved on to a delicious Sancerre while my mom & sister stuck to red. We ordered a few things off the menu to share: - Olives ( all the olives I had were spectacular & briny & spicy! YUM!) - PAN CON TOMATE & MANCHEGO CHEESE BOARD (delicious! never met a pan con tomate i didn't like & this one was excellent! manchego is also one of my favourite cheeses so great dish!) - BACON WRAPPED DATES (i don't eat pork but mom & sis loved it) - MANCHEGO CROQUETAS (also on the house & also delicious! perfectly balanced & not at all greasy. Crispy, golden outside, delicious creamy melty cheese on inside. loved the accompanying garlic aioli too!) - PATATAS BRAVAS (so good! again, not greasy at all & the spicy tomato sauce & garlic aioli were the perfect compliments to the piping hot potatoes) - SHRIMP AL AJILLO (super delicious & flavourful!) They also brought out an incredible chocolate brownie cake slice with ice cream for my mom's bday. Perfect way to end an already exceptional meal! Must come back soon for the MUSHROOM RISOTTO which I hear is fantastic! love this spot & can't wait for next time.

I think this may be my new favorite place! It's super cute and cozy, great music, and you get yo choose the wine bottle you want to drinks Their Spanish dishes are also delicious (i'm from spain so for me to say this is a really big deal), i'm obsessed with their bacon dates. They also have a very good happy hour monday-thursday from 4-7pm and friday 4-6pm with wine glasses $7-$8 and some tapas for $8. Super worth it! Our server was also in top if everything.

They sell bottles of wine, imported olive oils, lots of (mostly European) wines by the glass, and light bites like charcuterie, small pizzas and popcorn. We've come here a few times, our dog was welcome, staff were friendly and outgoing, offering us various tabletop games like tic-tac-toe to pass the time, and once we'd both ordered a few glasses of wine, they offered us complimentary popcorn - something they normally charge for. Wines on their "by the glass" menu average about $16 each, and most staff pour them behind the bar where they have a gauge to measure out each one. The food prep area behind the bar is quite small (which is why they don't have a large menu), but so is this little gem of a wine spot in general. It's cozy, eclectic and great for a glass of wine and a small snack, or a nightcap after having dinner elsewhere. It's good for singles at the bar, or an intimate spot for couples and smaller groups. Vinoteca seems to have found their niche, and they've filled it quite nicely. That said, I'm not sure the staff, at least the ones working on the nights we've come, have a lot of knowledge about wines or are in the position to talk at length about their various selections.

Unlike some other reviewers that scoffed at the prices of the wine, that didn't bother me so much. We had a bottle here that cost $55 and it retails for about $28; I was OK with that, as all restaurants and wine bars have a markup above retail, and even when you go to spots like Happy Wine or El Carajo and pick out a bottle to drink while in their shop, they charge a corkage fee for that. What I did have a problem with is that, after the "service charge" and other fees were added on, our $55 bottle rang up to more than $73 in total, which was ludicrous. When we first arrived at Magie we were met by a young guy who pointed out the bottles and where the various charcuterie items are located in the coolers, and we were then pretty much left on our own. We really just wanted a glass of wine each, but unlike places like Vinoteca, here at Magie they had a very limited selection of wines by the glass, and the ones available all seemed to come in single-serve cans. We picked out a bottle to share, went to the register, paid and the guy opened it and handed us 2 glasses. When I returned to get napkins, the guy just motioned to where the napkins were so I could grab my own (after moving a delivery cart out of the way by myself so I could reach them). Again, though this place includes an automatic "service charge", we received zero actual "service" unless one considers the 45 seconds it takes to uncork our bottle and charge us for the purchase. We had a seat, had a glass of wine each and then re-corked our bottle of wine and took it with us. Overall I think Magie is a great concept with lots of potential. The inside seating area is interestingly decorated and outfitted with lots of eclectic furniture and items on the walls, and the relatively large patio seating out front with tables for 2 to 8 people is shielded from the adjacent street/traffic and shaded by lots of trees and greenery. The ambiance overall is really very nice. The service, however, was non-existent, especially considering the automatic charge for that, and while prices of at least some wines aren't terribly out of line, the fact that all the service charges, taxes and fees added $20 to the cost of our bottle was a bit of a shocker. Magie should consider adding more wines by the glass IMO. Not just subpar quality single-serve cans, but decent wines, poured from a proper bottle with a topper that preserves the wine between pours like most every quality wine bar commonly offers. Lastly, while I don't think anyone expects linen napkins and white glove service, the paper plates and plastic cutlery customers are given to eat with are a bit off vs. what this place appears to be trying to be and the prices charged. The "F*ck Brunch" positioning statement on the back of the staffs' shirts was an interesting touch.

The first location in the River is better imo because the location is bigger, there is plenty more seating than the Grove location. Although, I still enjoyed my time at this location as well. Sooo how it works is that you go inside and pick a bottle of wine from the fridges. You can also order by the glass if you aren't a big drinker or if you want to try different wines. The bottles are moderately priced depending on your selection. We chose an orange wine and it was nice, very refreshing, you can really get that citrus essence with every sip. Another thing that they have is that you can pick different cheeses and meats and they will build you a charcuterie board. I love this because it is all based on your selection, nothing will go to waste. They also have food you can order. A lot of people love the nuggets with caviar. I think they are decent imo but I'm not like in love with them. Parking can be a bit annoying... If there isn't street parking, you can also park in the garage. The service was good, the staff was friendly. The only thing that was a hassle was getting a table. We had to wait a bit in order for a table to become available. Overall, this spot is a very cozy place to hang and mingle with friends.

As soon as we sat down, I politely asked if we could be moved. The manager then told me that I had booked bar seating, which is simply not true. Why would anyone reserve bar seating a month in advance for Valentine's Day? I checked my reservation confirmation myself and it never stated that, and I even tried making another reservation to verify ..bar seating wasn't even an option. He told us he would "see what he could do," and we were left waiting at the bar with no water, no menus, no service, and no communication whatsoever. Meanwhile, we watched multiple couples get seated at proper tables back-to-back. At one point, we even overheard another couple say their reservation was at the same time as ours, and they were seated at a table immediately. When I tried to politely ask for an update, the manager or owner completely ignored me. No acknowledgment, no apology, nothing. I was honestly in shock at how disrespectful and dismissive they were. We ended up getting up and leaving because of how uncomfortable and disrespected we felt. Valentine's Day is supposed to be special, and this restaurant completely ruined that experience.

A restaurant that still comes to mind months later is usually doing something right, and this visit confirmed what we loved about our first experience. We made reservations without any issues a couple of days before. The restaurant was clean, bright, and had not filled up yet with the busy Sunday family crowd. Upon being seated, we were provided with the regular menu and the Miami Spice Lunch menu. The Miami Spice Lunch, which has now become a daily Executive Lunch special, is a standout value. The portion sizes and the quality of the Argentinian steaks speak for themselves. As a group, here's what we ordered: Starters - Ham and Cheese Empanadas - Morcilla - Grilled Provolone Each starter delivered exactly what you'd expect from an Argentinian steakhouse. The empanadas were warm and flaky, the morcilla was rich and well seasoned, and the grilled provolone came out bubbling and perfect for sharing amongst our table with the restaurant's complementary bread basket. Entrée: - New York Strip Steak, 12 oz This was the only cut of steak we ordered. It was cooked to each of our desired temperatures and seasoned simply, letting the quality of the beef speak for itself. It is clear why La Cabrera has a reputation as one of Latin America's best restaurants. Sauces on the side, which included a BBQ sauce, and a chimichurri, were left for our choosing and were used for the side dishes more than anything. Sides: - French Fries - Jasmine Rice Both sides complemented the steak well. The fries were crispy and large in size. My father-in-law, a cuban man who's very serious about his rice dishes, thought the jasmine rice was very good. Dessert: - Dulce de Leche Ice Cream with Cone - Dulce de Leche Pancakes The ice cream was smooth and rich, while the pancakes were finished with a sugary powder coating that was impossible to resist. This lunch reinforced why La Cabrera continues to be stand out in a crowded field of steakhouses. Between the consistency, generous portions, and the value of their daily menu specials, it's an easy recommendation whether you're bringing family, hosting someone from out of town, or simply looking for a great lunch in Coconut Grove.
