He remembers details about me and checks in on a personal level during the exam and truly listens to my concerns. Exams are thorough, and Dr. Potter is honest--he has told me when my prescription changed very little and I didn't need new glasses. I don't feel like they pressure you to buy an expensive pair of new glasses just because you're there, which I can't say for some other places I've gone. The rest of the staff is also SO friendly and they make the visit fun. There is a huge selection of very cool frames with a good price range. Glasses can be expensive anywhere you go, but you can get a nice pair here reasonably priced or you can get pricier designer frames, as well. I have done both and been satisfied. I love it here!

Price is affordable and I ended up buying 2 eyeglasses for the price of one eyeglass in LensCrafters. I bought a designer COACH eyeglass & a one for back-up. Target Optical Greenwood highly recommended. Honestly, I prefer it over LensCrafters! It will be my go-to store for eyeglasses, definitely coming back. I am a happy customer!!!!!

I was given a few samples to try out for contacts. On my third sample, I was good. We finalized my prescription, and I ordered the contacts. I received the contacts. They did not work. I contacted them to verify my prescription was correct. They said yes. I contacted the MFR and they sent me a new set of contacts. Still no good. I contacted the DRs office to get me prescription rechecked and they said "Sure, but it will cost you out of pocket". All I wanted was to verify the prescription. I was told nope. Sorry. So basically, I was out the cost of the contacts because they are unusable to me and unable to go see another DR unless I pay since I used my insurance visit for the year. Clearly, they did not update my prescription to the third sample and did not care to help me out. Plenty of other eye DRs out there.

With that being said, I cannot express how much of a relief it has been since I began receiving optical care from Dr. Porter. Upon my first visit, several years ago, I explained that I have significant optical genetic risks within my family and that I really wanted to be able to keep a close watch on the health of my eyes. Dr. Porter was fully knowledgeable, reassuring, patient, and took the time to explain everything in depth; she even took photographs of my retinas to ensure we could keep track of them in case I ever sensed any changes or problems arise in the future of my vision. Not only is Dr. Porter phenomenal, but the rest of her staff is filled with many warm and welcoming personalities that are always kind and helpful. My exam went fine and was done in under 30 minutes since my prescription is pretty straight forward, however the selection of frames is definitely lacking compared to other locations. Finally selected a pair from the few racks they offer and received a text stating that my new glasses were ready for pickup on Saturday morning. Drove to the office and when I approached the door two female staff I recognized from my appointment were at the front desk... As they saw me approach they fled from the front desk to behind the hallway/doorway to the right of the desk and then peeked around the corner when I got to the door and noticed it was locked. They made eye contact a second time and then walked again behind the wall laughing. Luckily a male staff member came to the door as I was preparing to leave and gave me my glasses. I would not have been upset at all if the ladies just came to the door and advised that they were closed or could not process anything on a Saturday, but playing rude and childish games cost them any future business from my family as well as ensuring that I will recommend other offices to everyone I know.

When I told her I could not see out of my new glasses or contacts, her response was simply, "Well, that's about as good as it's going to get!" I then explained that I would be switching to a new doctor and brought my glasses back to request a refund. The front desk staff became visibly offended and refused to let me speak with the doctor. They could clearly see that my eye was extremely red, but they completely ignored it. Because I was leaving the practice, they suddenly required me to pay upfront for services that day--something that had never been asked of me before, despite having insurance. When I apologized and repeated that I simply could not see out of the glasses or contacts, they just handed me my paperwork with no further discussion or help. This office seems perfectly fine as long as you're happy with everything and don't complain. The moment you have an issue with the glasses or contacts, the service and attitude change dramatically. I am very disappointed in both the medical care and the overall treatment I received.

I went here for two appointments, my initial eye exam and then a contact lens fitting. I saw…read moredifferent doctors on both occasions. Both doctors stated they don't usually work at this location so I am not sure who the doctor who runs this business is. It would have been nice to at least have the same doctor who saw me for the initial exam also see me for the follow up visit. My biggest complaint however is with the support staff. When I went to pick up my trial contact lens, the lady at the front desk only gave me one pair, but the doctor had ordered two pairs for me. When I came back for my contact lens fitting, the assistant said she had no idea why I wasnt given the second trial pair as both were together with my name on it. So I only got to try one of the two potential brands the doctor recommended for me. I wasnt happy with the prescription and asked for the doctor to just renew the prescription and brand of contacts that I have been wearing for years. The doctor said they would have my contacts delivered to my home. I specifically asked the womam at the front desk to have them delivered to my home (the same woman who failed to give me both trial pairs of contacts). She said she would have them delivered to my home and of course she failed to do this also. Needless to say, but I will not be returning mainly due to theinconveniences caused by the incompetent woman at the front desk.
