The French onion soup was good and not too salty but felt that was the only reasonable option to pick as we could get the salads from anywhere. The seabass was also ok but it did taste a little fishy in my opinion. And lastly, they were also out of the chocolate cake. We were told there was a lavender cake as a substitute but much to our chagrin, they came back telling us they were out of that too. The cheesecake tasted like it was super bought and dressed in fruity compote. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because their service. Not their food.

It's easy to walk, the tour boats are novel, rental bikes are everywhere, there are tons of places to eat and shop, and you can even carry open containers of alcohol along the River level. Art museums, hotels, the courthouse, and more can be accessed from the River, so it's easily a huge part of the heart of downtown. The city keeps doing more and more to make the space memorable, so permanent art installations, parks, and other similar features keep getting added as time goes on. If you're visiting from out of town, I can't recommend adding the River Walk to your trip enough. It's absolutely worth experiencing for yourself.

We visited the Riverwalk and surrounding area multiple times on our visit to San Antonio and it was probably the most enjoyable thing that we did while we were there. Just in my few visits, I had lots of different experiences. The Riverwalk can be calm and beautiful or it can be fun and lively and sometimes it can be all of those things just depending on where you are within the walk. Also depending on when you choose to go, as I noticed a distinctly different vibe between my daytime and nighttime visits. As soon as you drop down from the street level into the walk, it's like you're in a whole new place. The water winds through the walk so you always have a lovely view and the calming sound of water with you wherever you venture on the walk. There are tons of shops and restaurants and shaded little spots where you can just sit on a bench and enjoy the ambiance. It's clean, well maintained and surprisingly easy to navigate, especially with all the people moving through it at any particular time. Even though some spots felt crowded, I was still always able to maneuver around without feeling claustrophobic. I think it's the openness of the walk and the fact that the river running right next to you create this open space above. Anyway, I had some really nice meals here and enjoyed some good shopping, but mostly just walking and chatting with the people that I care about while enjoying the beauty of my surroundings. You should definitely put the Riverwalk at the top of your list if you're planning on visiting the area as I can definitely recommend a stop here without hesitation.

We also saw a very friendly homeless dog. We fed her, it was cold and raining when we went. It broke my heart. The cemetery is broken up with street name signs. If you know the street name that's the easiest way to find a grave. Very peaceful, some of it is well take care of and some graves need some TLC.

With each bite I understood more and more why it was a James Beard semifinalist for best new restaurant this year. $9 a taco? Yes. And I would pay it again without hesitation. We enjoyed the pork belly taco the most, and what I loved is that we weren't chewing into a fat cap. This pork belly was tender, moist, perfectly seasoned and the slaw was perfect to cut through the rich pork belly. The Barbacoa tacos were also very good To Barbacoa tacos were filled to the brim with Barbacoa, and I loved the slight sweetness from the Big Red in the tortilla. I needed that pickled radish and the salty cheese to balance the meat, and it was delicious down to the last bite. The grilled skewers were also very good, especially the Wagyu, and I just loved how simple yet perfectly balanced the sauces were and how they complimented the meats without overpowering them. I honestly like the chicken more than the pork belly, but my kiddo ate that pork belly so fast I barely got to eat one! Perfectly crispy, not greasy, just a great end to our meal. We also got the Daylight cocktail which was such a refreshing cocktail during the day, tart and crisp and simple. I could drink that cocktail all day everyday! And the espresso martini looked divine, but I just couldn't have caffeine this late in the day. Anacacho was so good that we are heading over there now to grab some breakfast and coffee. Their corn tortillas were thick and strong and carried the weight of the inside of the taco nicely, and they have breakfast tacos that are calling our name along with some gluten free pastries too! As far as I know, it is the only place in San Antonio , outside of the Universities and colleges , that consistently offers open drawing sessions in a professional studio, using live figure models. It even has open session for portraits on Friday mornings, using live models. Additionally it offers adult classes in oil painting, for beginners, intermediate, and more advanced painters. It has classes for children through its "Coppini Kids" program, and a "master class" in drawing for kids 11 - 17. As if this isn't enough, it offers workshops for members and the public, taught by popular and world-class artists who come in from across the country. If an artist is focused on representational art, the Coppini is a great place to investigate!

Bottom/middle shelf alcohol and wine were available and the bar was nowhere close to being a full service bar as listed online. Ice was hard to get and was being rationed. Super bs the price of parking wasn't included in the initial fee. The cost of this camp isn't justified based on the low quality of food and activities which weren't available.
