Great place to enjoy a cold beverage. Staff is excellent and plenty of space for a relaxing setting or large group.

This place has been on my must-visit list for new Tucson beer bar. I finally made it here on a…read moreTuesday night with less than an hour before closing. My first impression is the outdoor-friendly design, with a bar that is half al fresco and the other half inside. Shutters can close the al fresco section out during inclement weather. It was a quiet evening, with a few diehard clients at the bar. I walked in, studied the rotating menu, and settled for the one wheat beer on the list: #18 Enegren Schoener Tag Hefeweizen (5%ABV) from Moorpark, CA. It was quite flavorful with good mouth feel. I sat al fresco at the bar looking in. I enjoyed the ambiance. The inside is designed for groups to sit together and talk while sampling beer or wine. Four TVs were on the wall as an afterthought. The beertender was busy cleaning equipment before closing, but he explained to me that while the beer list rotates, the first five are staples, dominated by sours and IPAs although several lagers are also available. There is plenty of parking in the rear although I noticed that lighting is only toward the strip mall. The rear spaces are dark. I asked about dogs. Only service dogs are allowed.

I'm just not a fan of 99 % of nonalcoholic beers, there is something off with the taste and I just don't like them. The ambience is good it's a good place to hang with the outside patio and the inside is a decent size. I'll definitely go back.

What a great place to go. Hugh, is probably one of the best men I've ever met? He is literally a…read moresubstantial bartender, and works so incredibly hard, he takes Pride in what he does. I think the monkey bar, serves the most incredible PBR, maybe even in the world? ha, I got a chilled glass even! I think when you look at any map of Tucson, it needs to have a monkey bar on it. Because the monkey bar is definitely part of Tucson worth seeing. And I must go, tonight.

We came here because we wanted to play pool one night and Pockets had a tournament going on. We were originally 3 out of the 5 people in the bar (one bartender and one other dude who may or may not have worked there- but kept going into the back room). It was SO quiet which I found oddly unsettling lol. The only way there would be any sound other than our voices was to pay money to play music ourselves and I dropped way too much money to keep it going while we were there. Next, the bartender was odd to us...In some weirdly pretentious way. To be fair, we all do look young and people tend to treat us as such when we go out. However, he was so condescending about everything. I asked for a drink and he corrected me on how to order it-but not in a helpful way? More like he was annoyed with me. I turned 21 almost 15 years ago. I order the same drinks and have never been told that a bartender doesn't understand what I'm asking for- even if I don't use the proper bartending terminology. My roommate asked for a vodka redbull and the bartender made some weird comment about this not being one of our "hipster bars" like ??? I drink vodka red bulls in literal biker bars. We prefer smaller, low-key bars. It was such a strange and judgmental thing to say. He basically talked to US as if we thought we were too good for that place? Idk it's really hard to explain. But it left a horrible taste in our mouths. A couple came in a while before we left and seemed to be friends of the bartender- which somehow made the vibe even more uncomfortable. It's as if they all wanted us to leave. It's so weird to make your literal ONLY paying patrons feel so awkward and unwelcome. Dude needs a serious attitude adjustment. The a-hole bartender theme is out dated. That's just bad business. It's one thing to be busy and short with people when you're serving a full bar; that's usually expected, but you don't have to be a jerk to the only three people in the place lol.
