My first impression is the outdoor-friendly design, with a bar that is half al fresco and the other half inside. Shutters can close the al fresco section out during inclement weather. It was a quiet evening, with a few diehard clients at the bar. I walked in, studied the rotating menu, and settled for the one wheat beer on the list: #18 Enegren Schoener Tag Hefeweizen (5%ABV) from Moorpark, CA. It was quite flavorful with good mouth feel. I sat al fresco at the bar looking in. I enjoyed the ambiance. The inside is designed for groups to sit together and talk while sampling beer or wine. Four TVs were on the wall as an afterthought. The beertender was busy cleaning equipment before closing, but he explained to me that while the beer list rotates, the first five are staples, dominated by sours and IPAs although several lagers are also available. There is plenty of parking in the rear although I noticed that lighting is only toward the strip mall. The rear spaces are dark. I asked about dogs. Only service dogs are allowed.

The space is wildly eclectic in a way that feels intentional, not chaotic. You look up, you look around, you look again. There's a whole back area you wouldn't even know exists unless you wander, complete with its own seating and energy. Turns out they host yoga back there, plus a rotating lineup of events that actually feel community-driven instead of forced. Then there's the food situation. A Thai street food truck parked on site serving absolute flavor bombs. I had a curry tofu Thai taco--something I've never seen, let alone eaten--and it brought legit spice and depth. One of those "wait, why is this so good?" moments. Inside, the details keep stacking. A vending machine filled with mini purses, bath salts, and handmade artisan goods? Unhinged (affectionately). Swag everywhere. Walls that give you something new to look at every few seconds. And if that wasn't enough, they partner with Anello, which happens to be my favorite pizza in the city--so yes, that alone earns points. What really sealed it for me was how inclusive the menu is. A full non-alcoholic selection, vegan cookies and non-vegan options, so no one feels like an afterthought. Service was solid, friendly, and matched the laid-back but intentional vibe of the place. Also, it is curious that there is tipping expected (pay when ordering at the bar), but no one takes your order and you pick up your own food. To me, that's a one-star deduction. If it's self service, I don't think tipping should be expected. In terms of atmosphere and food presentation, I give this five stars. In terms of taste, it rates 3 1/2 stars. In terms of service, well, it's not bad service, it's no service.

It's a fun and also elegant atmosphere with the zebra theme clearly exemplified across the space. I would have to say this is one of the coziest bars I've been to, the furniture and seating is really supportive of a long-term visit. There are other levels, lower and an upper level besides the main space, but be aware that if there are parties, they can typically take up different areas. Our bartender, Sarah was fantastic! The way that she handled all of the guests and the busy field was incredible, so calm and collected, and furthermore making some really incredible drinks. Heads up that the online drink menu is not the current drink menu, I couldn't remember all the names of our drinks and put those in the photo captions, so when I checked on the website, the menu was showing something different other than what I saw at the bar. Out of several places I've been to, I'd say the mixture of flavors and details in the drinks are quite unique. I'll be back for more one day
