I am extremely disappointed and upset with this law firm. How does an attorney receive more money than the actual person who was hurt and suffered? That makes absolutely no sense to me. The settlement is supposed to help the injured client recover and move forward, yet somehow the attorney walks away with more money than the client. On top of that, attorney fees are taken out of the total settlement amount first, before the client even has a chance to see what remains. Why aren't the medical bills and necessary expenses paid first, with the remaining balance then fairly divided? Instead, the client is left with far less while the law firm profits the most. I trusted this firm to represent my best interests, but instead I feel misled, overlooked, and taken advantage of. The lack of transparency regarding fees and the final distribution was extremely disappointing. Clients deserve honesty, fairness, and a clear understanding of where every dollar is going. Arnold & Itkin stole nearly all of the claimants Risperdal settlement funds making up excessive and inflated fees. They stole from claimants who were minors and adults with disabilities. First transferred to a third-party company that takes a message for the law firm.. then another third-party will respond to you and they sound like they live in the Philippines. Then they will request your medical records of which I sent in, but I don't think their "medical team" is legitimate. As I had some foreign people in the Philippines, tell me that my medical records did not state I had cancer. I have 90 pages worth of medical records stating on every single page that I had cancer. Do not hire this firm. They are scam artist to say the least. My son was hurt in a bad boating accident. One a 1 million dollar law suit which was split between another victim. The other victim, got her settlement through a different attorney in 3 weeks. This was 4 months ago. My son has repeatedly tried to contact his attorney with this firm, Trent Sheldon, and has only been able to reach him 1 time and that was only having to ask if we needed to get a different attorney to sue them to get his money. He was told his case would be finalized by the end of the week and that was 3 weeks ago. Still nothing. My son has called and text his attorney with no response at all. Seems to me they are thieves and have stolen the money he has coming to him. What is worse, we just found out Sunday that his boy may have bone cancer and we can't afford his care. My son has had a risperdal claim stuck in litigation for years regarding a risperdal claim. I received an email from Arnold and itkin telling us that they were trying to get in contact with us regarding his settlement offer. But once we got in contact with the law firm we were told that there was no settlement offer as stated in the email and that they were only requesting us to send photos of Justin'injuries. They mislead us. They lied to us by telling us that they had a settlement offer for his claim. Told us that the photos were sent to Johnson and Johnson and that they can't even tell us if he will even receive any kind of settlement at all. read more

This is a continuation of my previous complaint. As with my last complaint l, I rate Arnold and Itkin at a negative 5 stars. I had to check at least one star for this complaint to be published. A and I ARE A VERY UNETHICAL, NON - CLIENT FRIENDLY FIRM. WILL NOT LISTEN TO OR ACT IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CLIENT THEY ARE BEING WELL PAID TO ASSIST. I called the actual firm this time instead of the call center number we are supposed to use to talk to the "robots" reading from a script. My call was inquiring about not receiving any communication after the 3 week deadline I was given at my last phone call. I explained that my son was in group 8. I questioned why he was group 8 and not group 1 or 2. I was told each group was randomly picked. I do not believe that for one second. I then said that I have seen in chat groups that a large part of group 8 have received their notice of amount to be awarded, signed the offer and have had the check delivered to their home by fed ex. I questioned why the entire group 8 had not gotten correspondence as I was previously told would happen ( the entire group 8 had to have all paperwork complete, and the information to include the amount to be issued would be sent in one big mailing). The differing stories ( which is normal for AF) and the never adhered to timelines and instructions given with every call center robot is infuriating. They change the script with every episode of not keeping a stated timeline or follow through. I was told that Trent's case was handled by multiple lawyers. So now we are put on yet another 2-3 week extension while AF is waiting on the records from all involved firms to be sent to them. I was livid. I asked how my son's file contents were scattered throughout multiple offices instead of a single folder. I asked how his private medical info and pictures of a minor child half dressed were not accounted for? How does that sloppy record system maintain confidentiality? I reminded the rep he was a minor child in most of the half dressed pictures that revealed his enlarged breasts. Highly inappropriate for public viewing. How could any lawyer look at his case without having a complete file. She did not respond. She gave another 2 to 3 week timeline. I told her timelines with AF are useless as they are lies to pacify clients. She again said 2-3 more weeks to get all the paperwork together and then evaluate his case for an award determination. Then the all too familiar gaslighting. Instead of taking responsibility for the poor service they change the conversation to me being inpatient and rude. Then I always get "he is not the only one that is ...... whatever the screw up of the week is. I always bring it back to my concern is only for my sons individual case that I am paying a lawyer to handle. I again asked to be transferred to an actual lawyer and get the "they cannot do any more than I am". I have not talked to an actual lawyer the entire 12 YEARS from the initial filing of the Risperdal case. What recourse do I have? Who is the entity that is in charge of ethical lawyer practices in Texas that can do something about this situation? I looked at BBB complaints. The complaint was stated and it was followed by a "we did everything right" explanation from A and I. Most complainants followed with a statement saying they disagreed with the reply from A and I and nothing was done beyond that. Who has the power to do something, will not cow tail to their gaslighting and will empathize with the actual client that has suffered for MANY years? Who is the receiver of the multiple years of interest that is paid to Arnold and Itkin because of the years of dragging their feet and not issuing the actual client their due compensation? Does the fee for service decline with every episode of unethical service? I have seen entries on social media from multiple clients that have received their compensation and are getting close to getting the funds that were held back. It is only fair and just that my son is charged less for services provided at a much lower quality than others with the same gynomastia diagnosis. These clients were able to escape the emotional trauma from bullying much sooner than my son. These clients or their guardians had to devote much less time to multiple calls where they were rudely being exposed to lies and broken promises, gaslighted without recourse or being transferred for a conversation with an actual lawyer. My time is just as valuable as the call centers robot delivered script. I cannot say enough negative about A and I law firm and the unethical, unequal and deceptive practices that A and I consider normal business practice with the end result of a very large bill to the client. read more

This is an ongoing nightmare on very strong case that was turned into a circus act with mistakes that's leading to me getting pennies while they have people they made me sign a loan from there finance company to get THERE Doctor $20k for a 10 min screw removal that workman's comp would pay for. And the loan doubled every 6 months so the loan I'm paying back upwards of 80k. They fired the first lawyer I had because his mistakes and gave me a lawyer who don't even own a suit yet. They handled a personal wrongful death suit against the Burlington Northern Railroad. At the last minute, actually during arbitration it went into a class action suit. That I agreed to. Reason being, it would give the law firm more bargaining power for a better settlement. That is what the lawyer told me. Well, in my case I got screwed. Ended up being a 75,000.00 settlement of which after they took everything they wanted, I ended up with $17,525.00. A far cry from what it should have been. They are crooked as they come. I didn't even hire Arnold & Itkin but was passed off to them by the law firm JonesGranger of Texas as well. Arnold & Itkins 33.33% was, $24,997.50 which included monies to other lawyers. Then, their expenses were $32,477.45 which after talking to a different lawyer I was told that their expenses seemed high. I spent almost a year after the settling trying to talk to anyone at the firm. But after one initial phone call from their office, my calls were sent to different voice mails and never returned. It took over a year to actually talk to the lawyer who handled the case. His name was Trevor Courtney. I finally got to talk to him in August 2024. Their communication was horrible. All they care about is getting any kind of a settlement so that they can take most of it. God has a very special place in hell for Mr. Trevor Courtney and the acting partners in this law firm. I settled for this little tidbit of a settlement as I just couldn't go on any longer trying to get them to do the right thing. You can't force people to do what is right or to be good. This company is morally corrupt as far as I am concerned. Arnold & Itkin represented 7 other individuals who were suing the BNR and who were involved in this class action suit. I wonder if those people got ripped off like I did. I wonder how many of them lost their loved one due to neglect by the railroad? Arnold & Itkin did not represent me or my husband fairly not at all. This company is truly unprofessional. I submitted my contacted information and explained that I need to speak with an attorney to discuss possible options. I had a legal assistant reach out to me and requested to see the information so the attorney can advice me possible solutions. She contacts me after two days and informs me on my VM that the attorney will not represent me and did not provide a reason. I reached out to her time and again. I left VMs with the receptionist, called her directly and was told she has stepped away from her desk or is at lunch. I finally got a chance to speak with someone and she hunt the legal assistant down for me. When I finally got a chance to speak with her, she informed me that because the compensation earned will be low, it's not worth the attorney time to deal with the case! This place is hideous! Completely useless as far as the roundup case goes. No communication, no progress on the case. They just collect your information, validate that you qualify and then do nothing. I assume they are waiting for some other firm to spend millions on litigation and then jump on any award they get. It's clear they aren't do anything on this case at all. I got this lawyer Alec and he was no help at all I tried to fire him a couple of times and wasn't able to everything from the begining just was not what I expected I didn't agree and still managed to close my case with out my consent took 3 years later ..1 year to just get the money he got after he closed without me I tried to hire another lawyer no lawyer would talk to me with him being my lawyer, my settlement he was trying to only give me 1%. I cried for all the crap I went through harassment and plus embarrassment. and still did nothing that I wanted I wanted to go to court he said no I would loose . He also paid for my work bills idk why? it seemed he was on my job side than my side at all and I mentioned it to him. my medical bills were so outrages he said my 3 reg check up, MRI and x-ray , 2 anatastisa with 2 shots saying my bill was 100,00 alone no therapy nothing else my arm was dismissed with everything else . Never felt represented, in fact I was kept away from my own trial - the defense then stated I only showed up one day to testify and the last day to hear the verdict, making it look like I wasn't involved in my own case and was just looking for a check. A & I kept me away from court. This case has gone on for almost 4 years and now? I'm stuck with half a million in medical bills. So many times I tried to get information, participate in my trial to only be told "nows not the time" You get told a certain attorney is assigned to you then it's bait & switch. I had 2 very young attorneys who were eaten alive by the defense. My jury? A bunch of kids under the age of 30. Definitely NOT a trial by my peers. I'm older and could see these jurors knew nothing about retirement, life planning, insurance fraud, medical bills, wage loss or life expectancy. I'm literally left broke and broken. I read a lot of the reviews and noted that Jason I. Which I assume is Mr Itkin, but I may be wrong, only commented on the positive reviews. I believe if you are in business to HELP people, then you should respond to the negative to see what can be done to resolve the issue. I, too, saught out their help in the round-up case and it has been 5 years. So far , as with others, I speak to only a receptionist who gives me a generic or standard answer. I received a letter last year stating that nothing was moving forward at that time, but that 2023 and 2024 will hopefully bring results. I was praying I had put my hands in the right basket, but it appears that is not the case. I have 3 forms of cancer and have been undergoing treatment. Within 11 months of my diagnoses my middle child was diagnosed with Leukemia. Has also has skin cancer as I do. I am very reluctant to send him to this company and am wondering how I can change lawyers. I am buried in bills and live on my SS. Thank goodness I receive help with the state with Medicaid and food stamps or I would not be around to tell the tale. And to have the firm take more than 40%, which is a lot in and of itself, is diabolical. I will not recommend them and will be glad to spread that concern near and far. read more
