I couldn't walk very far and the pain was negatively affecting daily life. I had already had surgery on my right foot for calcium deposits a few years earlier (by another doctor) when I went to my initial consultation with Dr. Park. My expectation was that he would take x-rays, hear my history, and together we would agree to make plans for surgery. In fact, I asked for surgery within minutes of our appointment. Xrays revealed that I had bone spurs AND plantar fasciitis. Surgery seemed like a no brainer. But NO! Instead, he asked if I could be off my feet for a few weeks to allow my foot to heal. Of course not- I have small children. So we went back and forth and he counseled me on adopting an entire protocol which, to be honest, I was not interested in. If I wanted to see him a second time, I had to agree to do all the things that he advised. He laid out a very boring plan that would help me in the long run and without surgery. We sparred during that initial consultation and I questioned his bedside manner and my combative spirit as a patient. He put my foot in a brace and warned that my recovery with rehab would take some time. I left his office vowing to not return. A week later, I looked at the papers he gave me and started the exercises, the cold water bottle treatments, and threw out my bad shoes. It took about five months...but it worked. The pain is completely gone. Today I run, jump, and have lost 27 pounds. The best way to acknowledge him as an effective podiatrist is to publicly thank him for setting me straight two years ago. If you need an honest assessment and a plan that WORKS, he's your guy.

I went to my local urgent care and had 2 X-rays taken of my right foot and they showed the broken bone. The urgent care doctor sent me a referral notice to Archstone Foot & Ankle Institute in Torrance Ca. I called the Archstone Foot & Ankle Institute and talked to some woman in the front office. I told her that the urgent care doctor referred me to her office and he sent her office a copy of the X-ray and all my personal information. She told me that she Did Not receive any information about me. I asked her to set me up with an appointment with a doctor. She told me that she scheduled me to see Dr. Alexander Perez at 11:30am the next day. 2 hours later I received a phone call from this same woman in the front office, she told me that Dr. Alexander Perez didn't deal with my type of injury. She then told me that she scheduled me to see Doctor Chul Kim at 11:00am the next day. She apologized for setting me up with the wrong doctor the first time. Then she told me that she found the copy of the X-ray and all my personal information that the urgent care doctor sent to her office. I showed up for my appointment and talked to one of the women at the front desk. I explained to her that I had an appointment with doctor chul Kim at 11am and that she should have a copy of the X-ray and all my personal information in her office. She looked on the computer, then talked to a couple of her co-workers at the desk and told me that she has NO information about me. She gave me 3 papers and asked me to fill in all my personal information in the form. I complained to her that she should have had all of this information. She asked me to sit down and fill out the forms. After dealing with the Idiots at the front desk, I was finally able to see Doctor Kim. Doctor Kim took a quick look at my foot (He never touched my foot) and told me that he was going to go check out my foot X-ray. I told Doctor Kim that his office staff told me that they had NO X-ray, He told me that he has my foot X-ray in his office. He walked out. While he was out looking at the X-ray, I saw 2 little bugs walking across the floor. I told one of the women staff members about the 2 bugs and she said "Where Did You See The Bugs"? I told her that they are under a table in the corner. She said "I'll Kill Them Later". I got up and limped over to the table and pulled it out away from the wall and she walked over and Stepped On Them Both. She acted like it was no big deal. She left and Doctor Kim came in and said "I looked at your x-ray and I have decided to let your body heal it". He said he could do surgery but that would do more damage to my foot. He told me that he wanted me to come back in 2 weeks so he could take another X-ray of my foot to see how it's healing. I Would Never Recommend This Facility! This is the most Unprofessional & Unorganized office staff that I have ever dealt with. I saw Dr. Kim and he seemed to know what he was talking about but was in a hurry. My primary doctor told me that Dr. Kim is a good provider.

However, my insurance never received anything, and the office has not provided any paperwork I can use to file the claim myself (when I asked, they refused). The front desk couldn't help, the manager was unavailable, and I was repeatedly told different things. Even when I spoke directly with Dr. Darragh, promises were made (he claimed to be very behind on billing), but nothing happened. It's been extremely frustrating, and now I'm past my insurance's filing deadline with no documentation. The medical care itself was fine, but the administrative side has been disorganized and unhelpful. It's clear that once Dr. Darragh has your money, there's no incentive for him to submit to insurance on your behalf. I would caution anyone considering this office to be aware of the significant communication and billing issues.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE…read more I have never had a medical appointment where I felt so dismissed and unheard. I saw Dr. Striplin after a serious knee injury and came prepared with questions about my MRI and what my options were moving forward. Unfortunately, I barely had the opportunity to ask anything. From the moment the appointment started, I felt rushed. He repeatedly interrupted me, seemed more interested in talking than listening, and had his hand on the door for much of the visit, which made me feel like he was trying to end the appointment as quickly as possible. I have a partial meniscus tear, a cartilage defect/hole in my knee, bone bruising, and other MRI findings. The only thing he really focused on was telling me that my cartilage was gone and that he would not do surgery because "it would make it worse." When I tried to understand what I could do to help my knee, I was given no real plan other than being told I would "just get worse over the next few years." He even brought up that he rides his elliptical every morning, which felt completely irrelevant given that I was there looking for medical guidance. The appointment lasted maybe 7 to 8 minutes. As he was already leaving, I had to stop him and ask, "Am I not getting physical therapy?" He reluctantly agreed to order it. I also asked about a temporary handicap placard because I was struggling with my injury, and he looked at me and said, "That's for people with canes. You don't have a cane," before walking away. I left feeling embarrassed, frustrated, and completely dismissed. I can only imagine how difficult this experience could be for elderly patients or anyone who may not feel comfortable advocating for themselves. I decided to get a second opinion from another orthopedic surgeon, and the difference was night and day. I was told my knee injury does require surgical intervention and that the defect needs to be addressed with a procedure involving bone and cartilage repair. I wish Dr. Striplin had taken the time to review my MRI in its entirety and explain my options instead of making me feel like I was wasting his time. I took time off work and waited over three weeks after my injury for this appointment, only to leave without answers or a clear treatment plan. My advice is to advocate for yourself and get a second opinion. A patient deserves to feel heard, respected, and cared for, especially when dealing with a serious injury. He is a full of himself jack@ass. Also saw other reviews on here saying he had his hand on the door for other patients and one guy said Dr. Striplin messed up his surgery had to be redone. After several years of contemplating whether to have corrective surgery to remove the bunions I…read moredeveloped on both of my feet, I decided to proceed with the surgeries in December, 2024 after my consultation with Dr. Feit. My left foot had a more severe bunion that required a bunionectomy, and lapidus arthrodesis osteotomy to realign and straighten out my big toe. I wore a short cast for about three months and then a walking boot for about three more weeks before returning to regular shoes. One year later, in December, 2025, I had a bunionectomy on my right foot. No cast was required with this surgery; just a short walking boot for about 10 weeks. I'm a runner and I resumed my early morning runs five months after my surgery. Dr. Feit performed both of my surgeries and I am so pleased with how my feet look and feel. Due to the severity of the bunion on my left foot, the lapidus arthrodesis osteotomy procedure required Dr. Feit to perform some bone fusion so there's a slight protuberance on top of my foot that looks like minor swelling but it's not that noticeable and I have no pain or irritation associated with it. If I had the choice to do it all over again, I would have had the bunionectomy surgery sooner on this foot before it became severe requiring a more complex surgical procedure. Dr. Feit is outstanding and his staff has been wonderful to me.
