Dropped the car off told them the problems and mentioned, when braking, the car pulled a little to the left. Later they called with a diagnostic fee which seemed a little high but wanted it fixed. Someone called back the next day told me they had changed the oil and recharged the air conditioning and found leaks at both Schrader valves which they replaced (part of the diagnostic fee I imagine) and I needed $2000 worth of brake work, (front pads and rotors, rear shoes and drums, front calipers, BG brake system service). My response was, "that is a third of what the car was worth, put it back together and the car will be picked up. A total of $2875.81 of work and parts were declined by me. " Just to be on the safe side, two weeks later the same vehicle was taken to another auto repair shop to have the brakes checked, their receipt says "Inspect brakes, approximately 50% -OK". The brakes are working fine. There is probably a large gap as to what is needed for vehicle repairs and what the manufacturers suggests and how much money you have.

I have taken my cars to Fred for over 20 years. I drove my 2006 Elantra to 304,000 miles, mainly because Fred maintained it for most of its life. My 2023 Elantra has 50k on it and was recently serviced by Fred. I had a fuel induction/injector cleaning service (I think that is what it is called lol) and the car is running as good as the day it was brand new. I highly recommend Fred and his crew. They are amazing and their prices are fantastic.

LIAR! I made an appointment and confirmed it on line for 10AM on Tuesday- I got there at 10:03…read more They told me it would be finished in a few hours (published shop time is 1.5 hours per wheel hub with 2 being done= 3 hrs.). At around 3:30 I walked into the shop only to be told, "I was just about to call you. Our parts people brought the wrong part. We'll have it ready first thing in the morning (that would have been Wednesday MORNING). I took the bus to where I could bum a ride from a friend that evening. Wednesday morning came and went. Around 2PM I called and Brian said they were waiting on a pig tail (wiring part). I told him that I'd get going and catch the bus to the shop. "Oh, no. If we don't get the part then we'll have to keep your car another day." Brian said. Me: What am I supposed to do? It'll take me 1-1/2 to 2 hours to get there on the bus. Brian: Well we'll come pick you up." Me: But I live in Canton over by Taggarts. Brian: That's OK. I'll call you when it's done. My phone record says I called Brian back at 3:19. Me: Is my Venza done? Brian: Yeah, you can come pick it up. Me: But you said you'd come get me. Brian: We don't have a driver. Me: Well can you wait for me to get there- it'll take about 2 hours. Brian: We close at 5:00. (Website says 4:30). I hung up knowing I'd have to pay for a Uber- which I did. It cost $18 for the Uber. When I got to the shop Brian says: I apologize for being short with you on the phone. I'd just hung up from a really difficult customer. [And that's MY problem WHY?] I'm giving you an oil change next time you come in. [Like I'd go back to a LIAR that said he'd pick me up??] I asked what the "damages were" and paid $504. I got home and looked at the wiring and didn't see ANY new wiring. [I'd attach a photo if I could of the OLD wire.] TWO DAYS to do 3 hours of work? And one wrong part and an elusive "pigtail"? Really?? AVOID THIS LIAR AT ALL COSTS.
