We enjoyed some great wine, truffle ravioli and bolognese pasta. Should not have sat out front in the sun, it got too hot.

Wow...literally 6 waitstaff walked past us without so much as a greeting. Promptly left to find a restaurant who wants our business.

Thai food is never my favorite, but I will eat it. It was a gal in our vacation group's birthday…read moreand she loves Thai, so we found this little gem on Yelp based on the good reviews. The secret is clearly out, because even for an early dinner in the off season there was about a 30 minute wait. They offered us wine while we waited which took the edge off. There were seven of us and they seated us at a table that was probably too small, but it was better than continuing to wait. The dining room inside is small, and there is also outdoor seating, but I overheard people complaining about bugs outside. I was happy to be crowded inside rather than bugged outside. We were told the dishes tend to be small and to order plenty, so we did. With the small table it was a little awkward to place and pass everything, but we managed. We ordered a lot of dishes (see photos, though I still think I missed a few). The standouts for me were the dumplings and the noodles.

Rickshaw is super popular with the local Ketchum crowd, and for good reason. This SE Asian-fusion restaurant is small and there's frequently a wait, but they offer outside seating and have a few spots at the bar which is where we sat. Plan ahead and enjoy the fresh, mountain air while you wait. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and made great recommendations . Most of the dishes are tapas-style, small plates. Great for sharing and trying a number of things. We had the cucumbers, chili oil noodles, Andrea's potstickers, Korean Fried Chicken (aka KFC) and green curry chicken. Everything was original, served at the appropriate temp and, of course, delish. I wouldn't have minded a little more heat but each dish had lots of flavor. I appreciated that there were some vegan/vegetarian options. Our server said they are happy to sub tofu in for chicken or other protein whenever possible. We've been staying at the Sun Valley Lodge for a few days which is great, but I appreciate that Rickshaw offers world class food in reasonable portions at fair prices. With a glass of wine and two mocktails our dinner was only a little more than our poolside lunch at the lodge (one sandwich and two drinks). We're coming back to Sun Valley next month with family. Rickshaw is on our short list of places to eat.

We visit Sun Valley several times a year and have driven past Sawtooth Brewery Public House more…read moretimes than I can count. There is almost always a large crowd gathered out front, which usually tells you everything you need to know--but we finally made a point to stop in for lunch on a beautiful sunny day. The Brews Since it's a public house, the beer list is extensive. I opted for their Pilsner and Lager. Both were exactly what you want on a warm afternoon: light, crisp, and incredibly refreshing. The Food We decided to put their "best in town" claims to the test, and they did not disappoint: * Fish and Chips: They advertise these as some of the best around, and I'm happy to report they aren't exaggerating. The breading was perfectly light--not greasy or heavy--and the fish itself was delicate, flaky, and cooked to perfection. * BLT with Grilled Halloumi: My wife went with this, and the addition of the halloumi was a game-changer. Served on a pretzel bun, it was a unique and delicious twist on a classic. * The Fries: You can't have a pub lunch without good fries. These are those "just right" beer pub fries--crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Easily my favorite style. Verdict The atmosphere was great, the service handled the crowd well, and the food was fantastic. We will definitely be back for lunch on our next trip. If you're in Ketchum, don't just drive by--give it a try.

From the mug club, it seems like this is a local staple. There's trivia on Tuesdays. TVs on the walls. Picnic tables outside, if you're so inclined. I think some pubs just order from Sysco, fry it up and serve. Five stars because they're not doing that! Their food was "pub" but the elk burger was handmade and fresh, the pot pie wasn't out of a can thought the veg maybe been frozen not fresh, and some of the store bought stuff like their pretzel seemed better than a defrosted ballpark.

Even for families…read more The entrees were fantastic and they even allow them to be split and they divide it into two entrees which was fantastic for my wife and daughter who are lighter eaters. The pork chop was a favorite, and the baked potatoes are Idaho sized so be mindful but it's recommended. The mocha pie was a favorite even for those of us who don't care for dessert or care for coffee flavored items, so give that a shot it was very good. Overall it's a must hit spot when in town no matter your party size or age. Get your name in early and eat up!!

At 8pm they are out of prime rib, halibut, trout, artichokes, ribs, and salad! WHAT is going on? I do understand this sort of thing happening on occasion, but literally the last 4-5 times anyone in our family has attempted eating here, it has been such a bad experience like this! Bad food, out of main staple items, or summoned to the dreaded basement... Unfortunately, after 46 years of dining at Pioneer, I think we are done! The past several seasons, something seems different. Always out of MANY items, and service is blah! It was literally a family favorite, so it's sad to even be typing this!!! Shout out to Sawtooth Club for getting us in last minute and serving a delicious meal! We will be back to support them!
