I have Rosacea and for the most part sensitive skin, and she has been awesome in trying to get to what i want, while caring for not aggravating my skin. What an amazing spa! I sent a message on I Instagram after work hours and also called the office to leave a message. I was amazed with the turnaround time. I received a phone call back from the owner Diva and an Instagram message reply within 10 minutes. I shared a bit of an update on what I was looking for as far as services. Diva patiently took the time to explain what services she provided, and offered to schedule me in for a visit. I To was seen the next day (9/5-holiday). Although, their schedule was extremely busy and there was no availability to book online. She accommodated my schedule and got me in. My experience from the moment I walked in was exceptional. As a customer I look for high-quality but also customer oriented professionals. Exactly what I received during my visit, during my checkout, I expressed how great the services were and how pleased I was. I asked to schedule five more visits, with an interested to continue receiving services. This is a one stop shop. Throughout the years I have received different types of services; anywhere for mircoblading, lash extensions, laser treatments, body massages, etc. Of course from different spas and professional. As I continue to explore search for professionals-five star services, I have finally found a spa that I will continue to receive services from. This one stop shop where I believe I will get all the services I need and more. Ody M was one of the staff there that i saw for my first visit! Very engaging experience and professional. This salon is NOT closed. It has new owners. It is a Portugese/Dominican hair salon that does all types of (mostly ethnic) hair. It's clean, attractive, and the owner is very polite. They do a very good job on hair and would recommend them. Just be very clear about how you want your hair styled. Particularly if it is shorter. read more

I recently went to visit Aroma Salon and Spa to get waxing done (brazillians, underarms etc.). Here are my thoughts: Very welcoming. First, the salon is incredibly welcoming, clean and neat. I sat there and talked to the women upfront for a few minutes before my appointment. Incredibly professional. When I walked into my appointment, Lala explained to me the procedure as well as what to do before and after it was complete. She also asked me my previous experience, comfort level etc. Knows what they are doing. I have to say I was really impressed by both Diva and Lala (sp?) who were amazing: lala had done my legs and underarm and Diva had done my brazillian. Both were so warm and friendly that I did not even realize where I was! It felt like I was in a jacuzzi (seriously!) versus getting painful waxing done. I was done these three things within less than an hour and it was fairly inexpensive compared to other salons. I think the only thing I was a bit taken back by was the up-selling of products but they didn't push it much to be honest. I would definitely recommend this salon, Lala and Diva to anyone interested in making a painful procedure a lot more pleasant. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Aroma but as the stylist I was supposed to have did not show up until 3 hours after my appointment was scheduled, I felt very fortunate that I was still seen by someone else who was helpful and sweet (I wish I remembered her name but she is fantastic!) Diva is amazing at Keratin Treatments - she's VERY thorough and has high attention to detail (I've had it done at a NUMBER of other places and none have stayed as well or as long as when she has done it). Staff is friendly and last time I was there she was still semi-renovating/redecorating since the new ownership (although it was definitely clean - just in the middle of bits of redecorating/painting here and there). It may be complete now, but if not, don't judge if doesn't look like a Newbury Spa, since DIVA is better than anyone I have ever used on Newbury St. (own experience) and in my mind that is all that matters. I've had a couple interruptions when some people have come in short notice begging for a bikini wax, brow wax during my session and it's funny how many people will only allow her to do it. I've been fine waiting since I put time aside and she has DEFINITELY spent a LOT of time with me. (I haven't had a wax there due to laser hair removal or I'd consider it). When I've had it done the price has been good (although not sure if raised lately) but it makes it worth the hour drive. Just be careful of them trying to oversell of some of the products which are grossly overpriced, but some are just not sold in the area and are great (Alfaparf line - especially the Illuminating spray and serum) TIP: Also, keep in mind parking - it's hard to find for the period of time you need if getting a longer treatment. The parking lot down the street closes early. I was given a note on my windshield twice to pay after the attendant left but it wasn't in English and one time took asking 4 people until I could find someone to help translate. DO NOT consider this a knock on the salon, but good to know when parking in that area for any reason. Make sure you park accordingly (Or no worries if you are luckily multi-lingual, as I, to my regret, am not.) I gave my $ to Diva and she paid the attendant the next day, and even mailed the receipt (so sweet - since she didn't have to - I trusted her even on the first visit) read more

Omg! This was an awesome experience. I took my daughter here to have here hair cut and blow dried with Lally. She was excellent in making us comfortable. My daughter is 16 and has hard to maintain hair , her mom is white and dad Hispanic. For years she has tried many different salons to get her the look and explanation of how to care for it, but she became frustrated , finally found "Aroma". Lally took extra time to explain what and how to work her hair. She made her comfortable and happy! She make us feel like family and my daughter can not wait to go back! Lally was very talented! Went to aroma after scheduling an appointment to get my lashes done. I was nervous because I had never gotten my lashes done and I had never been to Aroma before. It was clean, well kept, and had a relaxing appeal to it. I had expressed to the esthetician, Davena, my lack of experience with the process. She was very sweet and welcoming, never made me feel silly with the questions I had. She thoroughly taught me about the process and walked me through each step while applying the lashes. From washing my natural eyelashes, priming, applying, to after care I needed to do at home. She had an assortment of lash volume and thickness to choose from and customized the lashes by mapping them to work with my natural lashes. They came out so beautiful and couldn't be more happy! They were t tacky or cheap-looking, very natural and full! I even got my eyebrows done which she course went above and beyond by filling them for me. I even got some skin care advice! What a difference. First time at the Aroma Salon & Spa, went for a Brazilian. I have been to a few other spas and paid for a Brazilian. However, this is the first time I believe I actually was given a Brazilian wax. Shes always fast and tries her hardest to accommodate you that you can relax because you aren't exactly going for fun.
