It has taken me some time to write my review. I am still getting over the shock and the…read moreembarrassment of being the victim of blatant discrimination. This facility in Newburyport apparently does not like men and one nurse there- Erin Froio seems to make it her duty to deny services to those particular men that she does not like. I sadly ended up on that list. To add insult to injury Erin also lied about the cost of my suggested treatments... she wrote the price down on a piece of paper and then in her belated treatment email (which I had to ask for twice) she changed the cost of the treatments. The initial $325 per 30 minutes.. was now $400 per 30 minutes!. I was "all in" in spite of Erins coolness towards me- to have some skin tags and some benign lesions removed from my neck area. I had also just seen a VA dermatologist however they consider this cosmetic and they will not treat them ... ie remove them. Many dermatologists in the community will not do these procedures because insurances do not cover the costs. This is precisely why companies like RN Esthetics are common and they are busy!!! Erin knows this too! I prudently booked the "skin tag neck area removal" ( Thermoclear) appointment and booked a full hour so that the RN who specializes in this treatment would have ample time to get them all!!! I was told by Erin that the nurse was excellent and that she uses a laser on the bumps that dries them out. I was excited and eager to finally have these barnacles removed. The cost quoted was $325 per 30 minutes..... so $650 total but they would deduct the $275 which I initially paid for my initial intake and assessment appointment with the nurse Erin Froio. I was ready to pay the new cost of $375 and I felt this was reasonable. I also sent Erin an email and pointed out the discrepancy in the treatment costs... she never responded. On the day of my treatment I was so excited and eager to finally get this done. To greet the summer with these bumps gone! It was embarrassing to share this less than pretty part of my body with these folks but thats life and we all have those areas that we want to improve. My appointment was at 5 pm in Newburyport for the skin tags removal. A little after noon time on the same day 7/8/2026 a soft spoken woman called me (NOT ERIN! ) from the Newburyport clinic. She informed me that my appointment was cancelled and that I needed to go see a dermatologist... that they were not going to do my treatment. I was upset as anyone would be! As a RN myself (35 plus years!) and a senior and a disabled veteran who served my country honorably- I am still disgusted by this entire ordeal. RN Esthetics pretends to be a caring business who wants to help in the community but this is not the case. Do NOT trust them... especially Erin Froio -she is disingenuous and her assessment skills are pitiful. She did not even take the time... with a light source and a magnifier to really assess the areas that I had concerns about.... something every nurse should do !! The blinds were down in their exam room! Crazy! Dont waste your time and money.... STAY CLEAR OF RN PATHETICS!! DO NOT BOOK WITH ERIN FROIO... YOU WILL REGRET IT. MEN... STAY AWAY... THEY DONT WANT US THERE!! LASTLY... ERIN NEEDS TO GO BACK TO WORKING WITH THE CADAVERS ( she is cadaver certified)..... God knows she is not good with the living!! I intend to let every agency know about this fiasco.... including the Dept of Veteran Affairs.. the better business bureau and the Massachusetts RN board as well. RN PATHETICS MESSED WITH THE WRONG VETERAN! There are many great companies out there.... RN PATHETICS is not one of them!! Lastly, I complained and shared my story with their customer care... they said a manager would be calling me that day.... that has DID NOT happen!. So much for caring about customers ! The best part of RN Pathetics was Kelsie and of course discovering before they got their hands on me that this company is NOT a good one. I am so thankful they showed their true colors before they had me in their clutches!!! BUYER BEWARE!!
