This cute coffee shop is located in the front of the lake Arrowhead resort. The location is great because I need coffee in the morning and the closest Starbucks is in the town of Blue Jay, a couple miles away. The service was fast and pleasant. I saw one of the servers give a little girl an extra cookie for free because it was broken. That was nice. Along with coffee and snacks there were also lake Arrowhead branded clothing and nicknacks. Only 4 stars because the cups the coffee was served in were cheaply made. The lids did not fit tight and coffee leaked out the front and spilled when I picked up my hot drink. My guys cup was the same. The lids don't fit snug. So we took off the lids and enjoyed the coffee.

I was shocked at the actual square footage of this store as it looks much smaller from the street. Additionally, I never noticed they have a Starbucks within. Initially I only intended to stop in for a meager bag of tortilla chips, but I soon found myself walking other aisles just to peruse the variety of goods available. There's a full-service bakery with an impressive display case near the entrance (adjacent to the Starbucks), and the steaks at the meat counter were equally attractive. The deli section was doing a good business with several people in line for sandwiches, and I noticed a hot soup station, as well. I hate shopping at Lake Arrowhead village on weekends due to the traffic and, though this Jensens was doing a very brisk business, the ease of parking is so much better. I have been relying on the little market in Cedar Glen (a former Jensens, ironically) for emergency "basics, " but it's nice to know there is a larger, better-stocked, option available a short five miles distant.

The shop was really charming and had such a cozy vibe; the aesthetics are lovely. I ordered a large strawberry banana smoothie and when they rang me up it was about $5 bucks! I told her they need to raise their prices because that is wildly cheap compared to all the other smoothie places I frequent! The smoothie was fabulous and hit the spot. There is outdoor seating that has a heavenly view. Great service, too!

We walked in, a young blonde girl with an attitude and chewing gum with her mouth wide open was at the register. I'm with a group so I'm standing at an angle. I politely asked if they have cold brew and she grabs the sign (again out of my line of sight) and points to it. I ordered an iced latte and inquired upon milk options, she points to the menu (still loudly chewing the gum) and says "so the options are up there". I ask for nonfat, she goes we don't have any. So I ask well what do you have, she again points to the menu. I said: it's on the menu and you don't have it so what do you have?! Rudely starts reading the milk options. The coffee was mediocre at best. All the other girls working in the back were polite. Points for the location and the homie feeling.

The top and bottom layers were ginger-doodle with gingerbread frosting and the middle layer was chocolate with espresso frosting. The flavors were amazing and the cake fit our rustic Christmasy theme perfectly. We had a very small and intimate wedding in December 2024 to which Jerry and the Gingerbread House were amazing to work with and gave the best service. We also had some of their goodies from the shop and those were also incredible. Thank you, Jerry! We can't wait to come back for some more sweets.

We had waited in line outdoors for most of the time. It was quite cold and windy during the wait. One place I wish they had outdoor heaters . The house is decorated on the outside just like you would imagine a gingerbread house would be, cute, adorable and delicious looking. Once you walk into the house you will find some displays of familiar candies. Maybe something you may want to get the next time you are at your convenience or grocery store. Save room for the some of the beautiful and delightful dessert that are displayed behind the acrylic shield. And don't forget something warm to drink! The drink orders once made are handed out at the window on the side of the building. We ordered quite a bit, just wanting to try everything that looked and sounded delicious. My girls enjoyed the cinnamon rolls while the pretzel, and molasses cookie were my favorite. My girls agreed with me on the cookie as well. The grandkids enjoyed their cake pop. For hot drinks, we ordered hot chocolate and hot chai. For me, it was worth the wait. I would order more molasses cookie and an extra pretzel! The customer service was friendly despite the line of people that was coming through. Great job staff! I plan to stop by this house again the next time we come to Santa's Village.
