A bustling coffee shop in the Village. Not sure if it was so packed because it was a holiday weekend, but holy moly. It was pretty claustrophobic in there. There's no space to wait for your drink. Service was good, drinks were mediocre. My son got the strawberry smoothie and I found it to be overly sweet. It's made with syrup, so it's more like a slushy than a smoothie. They have a giant room with tables and chairs if you want to hang out but there is a lot of areas outside the shop to sit and take in the sights. I was excited to check out a local coffee shop, but this place was just OK.

Super cute spot, love the reading corner in the back! Staff was really nice, I ordered a tropical mango and a Moroccan mint. Both were delicious but the tropical mango was 100/10! Lots of space inside, would make a nice spot to study or read a good book

Iced vanilla latte and iced mocha latte. Our cat is looking around while in her backpack, lol.

Every time that I'm on vacation, I need a fix of local coffee / caffeine to perk up and start my day. During this past Memorial Day weekend, I was curious to try out The Tea & Coffee Exchange. I was quite surprised at the lukewarm Yelp reviews about this coffee shop because my experience was pleasant. People can really be that particular and selective about their coffee and beverages, which is fine because I get it. I ordered an iced mocha latte for my husband and an iced vanilla latte for myself. Service was generally good, but I am taking away one star because while my latte was enjoyable, it tasted a bit watery and warm even though it was supposed to be an iced beverage. I'll probably come back here if I'm in the area again but will explore and try out other local coffee shops.

We live in Lake Arrowhead part time and tried this coffee & tea shop for the first time to grab a smoothie. The shop was really charming and had such a cozy vibe; the aesthetics are lovely. I ordered a large strawberry banana smoothie and when they rang me up it was about $5 bucks! I told her they need to raise their prices because that is wildly cheap compared to all the other smoothie places I frequent! The smoothie was fabulous and hit the spot. There is outdoor seating that has a heavenly view. Great service, too!

Got a regular black coffee and latte. The latte was awful. Got the turkey pesto panini it did it's just to hold over before leaving. The wait for it was about 30 min if not longer.

There aren't a lot of highly rated places to eat in the village so we just went for this bakery that was cute and homey inside. We got the mango peach smoothie and the blueberry cream cheese croissant. The croissant was more like a danish and tasted like one that you could just buy at a store and heat up. For the smoothie, I liked how we were able to mix flavors, however towards the end the smoothie just got way too sweet. As for service, we got our smoothies at a decent time, however we waited probably over 15 minutes just for them to heat up our croissants. After we had gotten our drinks and waited a while, we went up to ask the workers if our croissants were ready. Both times, they told us they would check but never got back to us. When we asked the third time, one of the workers opened the microwave and pulled out one of the croissants. Apparently, it had been just sitting in the microwave and the bag got pretty oily. The worker wasn't apologetic at all, and we were a bit surprised that their "reheating" just meant the microwave instead of like an oven. If we had known, we might as well not have had it reheated, especially after that insanely long wait.

Im not sure why this place has really low reviews we enjoyed their coffee and their service!

Came here while visiting the area for the weekend. I ordered a hazelnut cappuccino, and hubby ordered a white mocha. Me personally, I thought the white mocha was better. It's a chill little shop, and the staff were nice. The reason I gave 3 stars was for the cleanliness.

We came in on Saturday while we were walking the little shops. The staff were friendly, the store was clean. My only complaint is my coffee tasted so watered down, I could not finish it. I wish I would have tasted it before we left to exchange it. They had so many cute coffee cups for sale as well as different types of tea.

It was pretty funny to read that customers thought the gals were rude until we experienced it. Then it wasn't too funny. Place is cute. The mango smoothie was good. Two crepes were also ordered. Seemed To take forever to make. We came in on Friday 8/1 at 1pm. Place seemed clean. Prices were reasonable. The gelato didn't look so appetizing.

It is a nice coffee shop at the center of Lake Arrowhead Village. There's plenty of parking at the village. Coffee shop looks nice and they have a good number of seating. They also produce their own tea. I got coffee and it was OK. They also have pastries and ice cream. Customer service was also OK.

Service is terrible here. Rude and condescening baristas in addition to passive aggressive signage is NOT made up for with good coffee...the coffee here is watered down. Even just a doppio espresso was WEAK. I love supporting a small business- but not when they make no effort to be of any addition to the community. Crowded seating and lines out the door I can promiae is reliance on out of town visitors.

First time here during my many trips to Arrowhead and honestly it was better than I expected! I saw the reviews so I was unsure but the staff were very friendly while also being transparent about the wait times. This wasn't a problem at all since we just walked around in the meantime; you could also just chill in the coffee place since it's very nice. I thought the egg sandwich was very good but the crepes were alright. The batter tasted gluey and sort of processed so that's the main constructive feedback I have here. Nonetheless, I appreciate the experience you all provided!

Nice place! Good organic, cheap Latte's!

Ask the Community - The Tea & Coffee Exchange

Hello, Are there gluten free options available here?

No idea. But since these shops cater to the yuppies I'm pretty sure they will have that :-)

Hi are there any outside seating available during COVID lock down?

Yes. There are a limited number of outside tables

My wife and I ordered two vanilla lattes, the chicken and waffles, and a sausage breakfast burrito. Everything was cooked perfectly and flavorful, absolutely zero notes. We bought 2 coffees (a 12 oz drip coffee with half and half and a 16 oz iced latte). We also got 2 bagel breakfast sandwiches. Our total was $39!!!!! Even my tiny drip coffee cost significantly more than a Starbucks equivalent! The Quality I truly hate to say it because I want local businesses to be successful, but everything was low quality. My drip coffee was lukewarm when I got it, my wife said she prefers iced coffee from del taco compared to the one she had here. But the really disappointing thing was the sandwiches. First, they came out heaped with lettuce (on a breakfast sandwich???) I've never seen that before, and we didn't ask for it. After we picked the lettuce off of the sandwiches they were very small (especially for the price!!) I managed to eat about 2 bites of mine before I couldn't stomach it anymore. It was just bad. The sausage patty tasted freezer burned and was extremely dry and the egg white was undercooked. I love an over easy egg, but this was not that. This egg was not cooked enough to be served. My wife made it about 1 bite further than I did, then she had to call it quits. All in all, we paid $40 to throw away our sandwiches and drink aggressively mediocre coffee. What really sucks is that I want to support local businesses! I would love to keep going to a small local shop. But when they rob us blind and serve food like that, I can't justify it.

Their website specifically says they offer reservations for parties of 10 or more, based on availability. I called about 30 to 45 minutes before arriving and asked if they could accommodate our group. The gentleman I spoke with told me yes, to come in and check in when we arrived, and that he would start getting a table ready for us. When we got there, apparently nothing had been communicated to the hostess. What made it worse was that the same guy then denied ever telling me on the phone that he would get a table ready. If they couldn't accommodate us, that would have been completely fine. Just tell me that when I call and we'll go somewhere else. Instead, we loaded up six kids, drove over based on what we were told, and then were basically turned away. We asked for the manager hoping they could at least help figure something out, but unfortunately the manager wasn't helpful either and offered no real resolution. Mistakes and miscommunications happen. What bothered me was denying what was said instead of simply owning the mistake and trying to make it right. We would have happily gone somewhere else from the beginning had they just been upfront with us. Very poor communication and customer service.
