    Pad See Ew
    Aisha A.

Came back around to try something else. This time I got a spicy beef pad thai. I ordered online and picked up my food and omg this place is my new obsession. You ever have food so good you have to take your time eating it, you want to savor it and have a bit to try again the next day and the day after. I'm obsessed and it didn't even help that my food tasted EVEN BETTER the next day. Wow, well I will be coming back around again next week!

I've been going here since I moved to college park! This was the first ever thai food I had ever tried and I thought it was great! I got hooked instantly! I always get pad see ew and the lunch deal is awesome. For the lunch deal you can get one of their listed entrees at a cheaper price (depends on entree) and get spring rolls appetizer! There is not much seating and it's small on the inside but honestly i've never not been able to sit down when i wanted to. Definitely not a large 12 person group dinner spot but perfect for a date or family dinner. Although you could push the bench tables together to form a long table. Today I went right when they opened at 11:30am and the service was very quick and food was hot! You might even be able to see the steam in the food picture haha! I do have to say the pad see ew has started to seem a little more oilier than before but it's still delicious! I will still be going whenever i'm craving good thai food!

Pad woon sen, Tom yum soup rice, lemonade

Stopped by because the garage is free on Sunday in College pay-through-the-nose-to Park. It's a sliver of a site on a side road just off the US1 main drag. Although there are a dozen tables, they focus on carry-out. You order and pay at the counter, and they will bring the food out. Tom Yum soup was exemplary. All the canonical Thai flavors, with a nice kick of balanced heat, no scalp sweat. Pad woon sen was good too, plenty of fresh veggies to go with the angel hair noodles. So why not 5 stars? Table service in carryout containers, with the flimsiest plastic spoon and fork I have ever seen. Lemonade that never saw a tree. Disclaimer- the Isle of Capri set a very high bar. The chicken in the soup and pork in the noodles was a bit overcooked and had no signs of Maillard. I surmised that it was precooked and added to the dish at the end. This was verified as I looked through the glass partition on my way to the nice clean omnigender bathroom. Meticulous prep, all ingredients ready to go. So four stars . Highly recommended for takeout, not so much for eating in. Use your own utensils and beer!

WOW do they make good noodles here! We ate and left zero crumbs. The Pad See Ew was my favorite. No dining service. Order at counter and you can dine in. Staff were really nice, and the food came out fast. I will be back to try more!

    Drunken Noodles with beef

Another winning lunch choice. My wife and I took a table in this small nook (maybe 5 tables) in College Park. My wife ordered the Spicy Basil Fried Rice with Chicken and I ordered the Drunken Noodles with Beef. We also had an order of Veggie Rolls as an appetizer. The woman behind the counter wanted to know if we wanted our orders with medium spice or "Hot" and we both opted for Hot! The lady behind the counter seemed surprised that we would both opt for Hot. Both main entree orders were definitely Hot! And tasty! And more food than either of us could eat comfortably in a single sitting, so we availed ourselves to take the rest out to go. My only disappointment was that they didn't have beer options on the menu, no doubt because getting the liquor license is a headache, so my wife ordered an Unsweetened Ice Tea and I opted for a Diet Coke, though a nice cold beer would have worked better to offset the heat of the spices. That being said, the food was good and we'll be back!

    Mango and Sticky Rice

Solid order from Aroy Thai again! We got the Thai basil fried rice with pork (one of our favorite dishes), and this time tried the pad chai with chicken, and a dessert as well - mango with sticky rice. The fried rice was amazing as always, the pad thai had such a good flavor (though the chicken was a bit dry like last time) and the mango with sticky rice. Just wow. The mango was perfectly ripe, and the sticky rice/sauce was awesome. We'd get everything again. Also, they have great service- they're pleasant when you order and when you pick up. I remembered to take one picture this evening, and it was of the dessert.

Aroy Thai is a delicious Thai restaurant in the heart of College Park, MD. It is a good, and one of few, Thai restaurants in College Park. The food here is always fresh and has delicious flavor. The customer service is OK and the restaurant can be quite busy on Friday nights and weekends while the University of Maryland is in session since this restaurant serves both the student community and locals. The ambiance of this restaurant is classic with traditional Asian vibes, decor, and dine-in seating. Street parking is limited, however, spots do seem to open up frequently. The businesses on this street are short-term shopping, so the parking availability is fluid. Overall a good Thai option in College Park. Give them a try.

    Panang Curry w/ Shrimp
    Isabella L.

It was my first time here. I ordered the Panang Curry with Shrimp and a Pineapple Fried Rice. The Panang Curry I highly recommend. It's made with crushed peanuts which they puréed and mixed with peanut paste (no pieces of peanut are found in the curry) that's then added to coconut milk. They also added a good amount of broccoli and shrimp with a bite of crushed red pepper. It was so delicious, a little spicy but I like a little bit of heat in my dishes. I don't know if it was just today but the Pineapple Fried Rice needed a little bit of work. The shrimp wasn't fully cooked for this dish and the chicken was dry. I put it in the fridge and am going to try eating the rice tomorrow after the flavor has kicked in. Overall, I'll be back for more curry.

    How they served the soup

Caution!! They have tables but really it's a take out place. They wouldn't even give us water. Thai ice tea is served lukewarm with no ice, already prepared and sitting in a "cooler" but not remotely cold. The photo is literally how they served the soup. For dine in. Yes that's a to go container (burning hot) with noodles in another box. We were hypothetically dining in. I've never seen such a thing. If you don't want dine in customers, then be take out only. Don't just serve dine in soup in a burning hot thin plastic container that's too small to fit the noodles. Food was decent but was the oddest and worst dine in experience I've probably ever had Go somewhere else

Service was so quick and food was delicious. My friend and I both ordered a entree and it literally came out in 4 minutes. They only do takeout but still have seating inside- which i prefer since it saves me tip money. My go to in the area when I'm craving rice noodles.

You can adjust the heat (we chose medium) and the portions are generous. Keep in mind that Thai food can be extremely spicy, so choose wisely :D I can't get over how exceptional everything tasted. I remember it being good but not like this. The chicken tasted CLEAN (this requires a full-blown conversation to explain) and had the perfect bite. If you're ordering takeout then make sure to mix the noodles before eating. The samosas were PERFECT. Is it pricier than other places? Yes. Does the taste match the price? Also yes. Keep in mind that sometimes it's because of the ingredient quality and where it comes from. Some are simply more expensive than others. My attitude towards Thai food is a bit of a love/hate situation, but Amina just might put me back on the love wagon. Some places have this overwhelming fishy taste in everything, which I truly hate. From the depths of my soul. Oh yes, and it's also Halal. Bonus :D Order some takeout or dine in, whatever tickles your fancy, and enjoy!

The food here is always fresh and delicious. I am satisfied with the quantity of food you get for the price you pay. I recommend exercising caution when experimenting with their menu items that specifically indicate SPICY because in my experience spicy here means loaded which chili pepper and almost to the point where you might miss the overall flavor of the dish due to the heat being so much in the foreground. Storefront street parking is terrible so you'll need to take advantage of nearby parking garages if you are not walking. Overall a good experience. I'll continue to patronize this place.
