Very small hole in the wall.. I came here because my throat was killing me and I want some hot soup. They close at 7p on a Saturday. Very early I got here at 638p and could not get seated. I asked for take out. Ton of attitude. Here's where I got really annoyed. They didn't actually put the pho together in take out bowl. But separated everything in different containers None of which allow a person to eat the soup . So I would have had to drive over an hour and reheat everything. "Hole In The Wall", is an understatement. This place is almost invisible. With that being said, I'm so happy we found this spot! We were starving. It was our last day visiting fam in MD and we wanted to get some grub before the trip back to NY. There's a regular VN spot we frequent whenever we visit and it seemed to be closed so we didn't want to risk a drive out. We found Pho Tai 63 and called ahead to make sure they were open. Once that was done, we took the 20 minute drive to the restaurant and placed our order. The parking lot is SCANT. There are minimal spots. In this particular day (Black Friday), the place was packed, save for one spot and we got it. Upon entry, their dining room was full to capacity. We ordered some pho (that's all they have and I'm not mad - was a l'il disappointed at the time but we'll get to that). It too some time to get our food, much longer than expected, but I was not mad because there's definitely a reason for that. We brought every back home. Each pho dish was enough to feed two people my dad and brother ended up showing up at my sister's house the same time we got back. We had enough to feed everyone. The food is FRESH! the broths are clear and full of depth. You can make out the star anise and other herbs and spices. I split the shrimp pho with my brother since he doesn't eat meat. I got my sister the brisket pho. My son ordered the special pho and split that with my dad. Hubby also got a brisket pho and I got my daughter the chicken pho. The broths differ but each taste amazing. All of the pho came with the usual suspects: Thai basil, bean sprouts, hoisin sauce, lime and hot sauce. The accompaniments were plentiful so having extra mouths to feed worked out in our favor. My next trip south, I might have to do a taste test with both locations and see which I prefer. I wish they offered bahn mi sandos but honestly, with the caliber of pho they're dishing out, they are reigning supreme at the moment. Unassuming, don't sleep on Bladensburg's Pho Tai 63. Open Thursday through Monday at noon, the parking lot was almost full at 11:50am with people waiting to get inside. It's that good! Dining for lunch with a friend who grew up in Vietnam, we both enjoyed our pho. There are 13 choices and the broth is full of flavor. I order the #4 small and it was plenty of food. It comes full of herbs and a side of bean sprouts, basil, and jalapenos. Service is friendly and quick. The space is no frills, but it adds to the experience! read more

When this place first opened, it quickly became my #1 spot because it was really the only pho place in the area but it USED TO be so good! The family with the girl and boy that ran the front is not there anymore. So if you used to come here like me, I'm doing you all a favor and letting you guys know this place is TERRIBLE now that they switched owners. Not only that but much more expensive for a poor quality imitation of what this place used to be under the OLD owners. Small bowl is more than $18 now!!! Insane. I got a small bowl asked for half noodles they didn't do that and only had fatty brisket in it even though I got #11 which included also tendon and flank. YALL THIS PHO WAS COLD. The temperature was as if someone left hot tea out for 30-40 minutes. No more piping hot clear good broth, this broth from the new owners is MURKY AND BROWN and cold/lukewarm. I didn't say anything but just know I will NEVER come back its simply not worth it. Pickled onions was drowning in a weirdly sweet vinaigrette. Go elsewhere for better pho. I feel like these new people know they are not as good as the old people so they didn't tell anyone about the owner switch and are basically tricking people into coming and paying more money for worse pho riding on the coattails of a different owners reputation and I feel weirdly upset about that, like I've been tricked. If you guys used to come here all the time with the old owners then you will understand how upsetting this is. This place survived through the pandemic in the middle of PG that's how good they were. Also they won an award for being one of the best woman owned businesses but it's not woman owned anymore and the new owners haven't changed anything and they still have that sticker up even though it's not a woman owned business anymore. This review is coming from somebody who is 100% Vietnamese: Do not sleep on the Pho Tai 63 in Maryland because it is SOOOOO flavorful... Dare I say TOO flavorful? Ha ha, no such thing!! The broth was sweet, umami, and packed a punch on first sip! I came here for lunchtime on Monday and I ordered the large special combination Pho bowl. I also ordered a side of beef brisket for an additional $3.99. The amount and portion that they give you was huge and so worth your money. In total I spent around $20 for a gigantic lunch and it was honestly the best lunch that I've ever had. There's service was great-- It was quick and efficient, no complaints there and had ample seating and I was seated very promptly. The only constructive feedback I would have is to make the tendons a little softer. I love eating chunks of beef tendons and I love it more when it's soft, tender, and melts in your mouth. This is a really cute small hole in the wall that definitely delivers flavor! I have been trying out different pho shops around the DMV area, and after hitting this spot, I am afraid to try any others because I think I'm having my heart set on this one. I visited this restaurant on a Monday mid day for a to go order after trying to call and use pick up option via door dash. I was told they do not answer the phone if it is busy and it appears that their delivery/pick up apps are not operating if it is busy either. This was quite annoying to discover but I was glad it was open. It's easy to miss as it's situated on a corner of a weird intersection and has a tiny parking lot. The place itself is small and intimate. I was able to place an order quickly. I ordered a large pho and jasmine tea to go, no spring rolls because they contained pork (sad face). I loved that they had a small and large option and went for the large since it was so late I decided to eat some as well. While it's better to eat pho in the restaurant I brought it home to my partner who wasn't feeling well. He enjoyed the pho but was definitely bummed about the spring rolls. We were heading to a show at the Publick Playhouse and wanted a quick bite. It's a little hard to find the door from that side, but once inside we were seated and served pretty promptly. The menu is relatively small although it did have a couple of unusual options such as just noodles and broth without meat. The large size was generous, and the broth was tasty, albeit a little sweeter than I prefer. They close at 7 but that may be a result of the local traffic patterns, and they tip automatically on parties of five, but I had no complaints and it was a tasty meal. Definitely a hidden gem for unsuspecting pho seekers in the area. On the outside this place doesn't quite seem like a restaurant as much as it does a corner convenience store however upon entering it certainly resembles the traditional DMV pho restaurant. Every time I visit this place there are patrons dining inside which reassures me this place turns out quality food. I normally purchase their Beef Noodle Soup #4 which is a combination of eye round steak and brisket. The large portion covers you on your hungriest day however the small portion certainly is substantial. The broth is always top quality in flavor. The ordering process is smooth over the phone and in person. What I also appreciate is the good customer service and speed which the orders are completed. I am a creature of habit. When I like something, I tend to order the exact same thing every single time. When I go to pho tao 63, i always get the number 1 and two egg roles. The number 1 is pho noodles, onions, parsley, and spices. The broth is BEEF based. The egg roles are pork. This establishment does NOT have vegetarian options. They are ALWAYS nice, fast, and reasonable priced. The food is fresh and not heavy with oils. I loooove this place so much that I wanted to have a birthday gathering here but my daughter told me I had to find another favorite place because this one is hers. It is woman owned. I love it! One of the top Pho places I've been to EVER. The moment I walked in, I knew this was gonna be a hit based on the aroma alone. I got the all meats Pho (except the meatballs) with extra jalapeños. The broth was so flavorful!! I almost didn't want to stop even though I was getting full. The meat to noodle ratio made sense. I would have liked more tripe but that's just a personal preference. Reminder Toya, don't judge a book by the cover! I kept it simple for my first visit, #8 Pho Tai Nam Gau, Beef noodle soup with eye round steak, well-done flank & fatty brisket. Served with Pho veggies and an order of crispy pork rolls. Took my food to go, the soup and crispy rolls are GREAT, one of the best Pho spots in the area! Nice selection of sliced meats, savory broth, all good stuff. Customer service great, can take 15-20 minutes I recommend calling ahead. In my case I hopped over to MOMs in Hyattsville and picked up a few things, then came back. The place is clean and totally a nice spot to eat in. Also, so much more than soup, they also have Steamed Rice Plates with pork chops, chicken, and Chicken/Porkchop combos, these are rice bowls with fresh veggies. Have you ever had an hankering for some Pho? I have and when it lasts for two days, it is time for me to get some. I have tried other restaurants in the area, and haven't been too happy either with the taste or the size of the entrée, super happy to have come on Yelp to find this place. I got the small number 12 sans tripe and tendon, plus an order of egg rolls. The place is in my opinion an awkward place. Kinda smack dab in the middle of 450 right across from the Publik Playhouse. Despite parking being right in the front, entry is on the side of 450. The parking lot can be a bit cumbersome if you are trying to enter and another car is trying to leave on 202. Enough about parking...what about the food?!! It. Was. Great. There has been a long time coming where I haven't needed to add anything to my pho broth. I mean I did, cause I like spice, but it wasn't a necessity. I am so used to running out of noodles, or meats, but that did not happen in this case. This portion was so HUGE, that I was unable to finish it all, and this never happens. You have a choice to have some of the meats cooked before hand, or raw- your choice. Everything was just....yum. The spring rolls weren't fried too hard, and they had such a great taste. The sauces that came with, were the perfect compliment. Using the delivery app, the order arrived in less than an hour and was still warm upon receipt. On our way home from visiting Wash DC, we stopped at this place for dinner. It was conveniently located right off the BW Parkway (I-295), in Bladensburg. The restaurant is located at an intersection, in a small old building. It looked like a converted gas station. The parking lot is very small, maybe 10-12 spaces. Inside, the dinning room is also small with limited seating. People that came in after us had to wait for a table. The menu is very simple. The only appetizer was cha gio or egg roll. The entrees included pho, bun Bo hue, and 2 rice dishes (chicken or pork chop). The pho came in 3 sizes: children, small, and large. I got a large #5 pho tai nam. Both my wife and daughter got the bun Bo hue. The food came out hot after a short 5 minute wait. Both noodle soups came with a good amount of noodles and meat. Both broths were flavorful and authentic tasting. My wife was impressed with their bun Bo hue, noting that it was better than her own homemade version ( which I never heard her say before).
