Roger came over today and installed the new Moen water shut off valve. He is also going to provide a certificate of installation, as well as before and after photographs for my insurance company. I called a licensed plumber, he took his time and was able to light pilot; hot water is on and no repair required ... What a racket this company is!!! Who makes $629 for 45 minutes of work .... BUYER BEWARE with this company! I had to pay $59 for a 'service call' and he gave an incorrect diagnosis ... so sad. UPDATE: Per telephone conversation with Payless Water Heater management, they have decided to revisit their pricing structure -- especially for small repairs. Erik was very professional and detail oriented from the time we spoke to him on the phone through the entire detection process. He did not rush through inspecting our house inside and out. The level of service and explanation of items he discovered was beyond our expectations. He advised how we could make repairs on our own without incurring additional costs. While he was finishing his inspection a fitting on our main line broke due to years of rust and being improperly installed with cast iron into copper. Erik was able to get a plumber out within an hour to make the necessary repairs and insure we had water again. To say we were satisfied with Erik and Arrow Leak Detection is an understatement. We had a water supply leak, but exactly where was the problem. Erik responded and quickly identified the correct location. That was the expected result, but Erik went beyond expectations, well beyond. When the plumbers that could and did do the work (another five star organiztion -Galaxy Plumbing) arrived, he was also back to provide pinpoint guidance, and even came back a third time to see, with his eyes, what his equipment and experience had already told him. If we have a need in the future, I know exactly who I am going to call -Arrow Leak Detection. Called Arrow and talked with Eric about leak detection services for a residential irrigation leak. The water main from the street to my house is leak-free. Though he doesn't service the San Diego area, he still offered to help me troubleshoot. We sorted through the work already done and he then confirmed my need for a leak detection service, suggesting one that introduces hydrogen into the line and sniffs hydrogen at the leak. He also said to expect to pay around $400-$600 to find the leak, but that was before the discussion of using a tracer gas. He was also unsure about San Diego area pricing. read more

I recently have a broken pipe burst under the slab. Luckily, I was able to get a hold of Eric who came out promptly. Armed with all the high-tech equipment and a great knowledge in tracing water leaked, he was thorough with the process and able to find the source and the location of the leak right on. As a general contractor, we often find ourselves being asked for referrals for leak detection. We have referred Arik from Arrow Leak Detection so often we have him on speed dial! He always comes through quickly and efficiently and we consistently get good reports back from our clients. We get a lot of water damage repair work (kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, etc.) in our remodeling business and my advice to you is if you see something, get Arik out there immediately before the damage gets worse! My elderly parents were notified of a massive leak by the water company who could see their meter running wildly. I needed the work to be done right away since I had a new washer being delivered the following day and because my faucets were so old and corroded, both the cold and hot water faucets ended up needing replacements. Brendan gave me 2 quotes which included a worst case scenario where they would have to cut through the drywall so I appreciated him for preparing me for the two possible scenarios. As it turned out, his guys showed me the issue where they had to cut through the drywall in order to remove the old faucets since the angle of the box made it difficult to remove them with a pipe wrench. In the end, they were able to replace both faucets, install a new box and even did a good job of putting the cut drywall pieces back on to so that the pipes would not be exposed. The guys were very courteous and professional and cleaned everything up once they were done. The price was comparable to other quotes I received but I chose Best Coast Plumbing because Brendan was so personable and went out of his way to accommodate my schedule. I will definitely call him again for any future plumbing work.

I was able to get a quick next day appointment with Sherlock, Ron came out and I'm telling you he found the leak in record time, a true specialist! He then clearly explained some options for resolving the problem and mentioned their company also fixes leak issues. I decided to hire them again to stop the leak and do some pipe rerouting work. The second appointment was also quickly scheduled, and this time Ron brought his partner Amit for the resolution work. Both Ron and Amit and very knowledgeable and professional, they both demonstrated strong problem solving skills and they work very well together...that in itself was a nice thing to see! Both Ron and Amit provide ideas for solutions that will have minimal damage and be cost effective, which made where to reroute the water line a less stressful decision for me. Like I mentioned above, a major advantage in going with Sherlock is they not only identify the leak source, but they also fix problem. They are skilled and equipped to deal with anything from start to finish, which is very efficient and ideal for the client. Overall my experience with Sherlock was totally great, they identified and solved my problem very professionally, and saved me from a lot of additional stress and cost. Based on my experience working with Ron and Amit, I highly recommend Sherlock for leak detection and resolution and would not hesitate to refer them to family and friends. If you suspect or know you have a pipe leak, save your time and money and just call Sherlock and they will get it done for you! He worked with us to find a leak remediation company who was immediately responsive. These are all of the normal things you would expect. Where Ron and Sherlock went above and beyond is continuing to follow up with me and coming out to my house two more times when we could not easily remediate the problem. Ron and the Sherlock team care deeply for their customers and I could not recommend them any more!

Called Nick at SVEP. With knowledge of the area I live in, he told me the likely issue and solution to the problem over the phone. Nick showed up the next day... removed toilet, snaked drain, unclogged the blockage and then ran a camera down the pipes to easily show me what likely caused the issue and offered some useful precautions moving forward.
