I got a text update that Josh would be coming, which is fine. When we met I notified him that I had already been notified that the galvanized and cast-iron likely needed to be replaced. He told me in that case he didn't even need to go into the house in order to write up an estimate. Weeks went by and I heard nothing, when I reached out there was some weird story about that Mike went MIA that day and they had no record of Josh coming. When I explained Josh HAD come out, I was eventually told that they were too busy to take on my project. All this time wasted and time off from work and I have to start over. This is the second time we have used Santor in less than a week. This time we had a leak above our slab. They responded quickly and I was glad to see Jess again who handled our first fix. Jess is very professional with an eye on detail. He had to cut into the outside of our house but he installed a small door for easy access if we happen to have another leak in the future which saved me having to repair the outside of the house. He also installed another access line in case we have a leak in the future, they will be able to access quickly. Great forward thinking on his part. Great job overall. Drain was clogged, so he ran a snake and got the wipes out. Over the phone I was quoted $180-400 depending on the severity. He showed up saying it would be $500+. I was able to negotiate with him and since I removed the toilet and then put it back myself he lowered the price a little. He was finished in 40 minutes but still charged $377, so I felt like that was too much considering the quickness of the repair. Josh, In response to your complaint about me not removing my Yelp review: I am writing to address a concern regarding the pricing of recent plumbing service provided by Santor Plumbing. While we appreciate the completion of the garbage disposal installation to our satisfaction, we feel that the pricing was excessive. First, my husband and I both work full-time, and therefore were unable to research fair pricing for the installation at the time of the quote. In the past we have received fair pricing from your plumbers for work done all to our satisfaction, therefore we had no reason to believe that we would be price gouged for this job. We later researched standard plumbing labor rates, which typically range between $45 and $100 per hour in 2025. In contrast, we were charged nearly $400 for this service, which we believe is unreasonably high. Second, it is important to note that the old disposal had already been removed, the site was prepared and we provided the new disposal unit, which was pre-wired and ready to be installed. Given this, we expected a reasonable labor charge for what should have been a straightforward installation. The job only took 1 hour from start to finish. Third, I had called several times requesting a call back to discuss the pricing. You only called me back AFTER I gave you a negative Yelp review. While I did not pressure you into lowering the fee, I was hoping you recognized how excessive the charge was and that was why you agreed to adjust it. However, you never apologized for the over-charge and were only adjusting the pricing because you wanted me to change my Yelp review. Even after the adjustment your price was still above the price per hour fee that is typical. Your attitude is why I didn't change it. Given this experience, we will not be using your services again. While your community charity work is honorable this has no bearing on our business dealings with you. That said, the real concern here is not just our case but the broader question: How much do you charge customers who may not be able to advocate for themselves? If you feel the need to continue complaining about how we have treated you, you are free to do so. However, we stand by our decision to voice our concerns and hold service providers accountable for fair pricing. read more

We have a tankless water heater in a five year old house but the tank is somehow 10 years old based on the manufactured date. The warranty has run out based on the usage.
