Our downstairs AC stopped working and we had an HWA warranty contract so we opened a ticket on May 20. It was 2 days before an EMS Home Services technician came out. He said the evaporator had a leak and it was going to cost us about $1300 for our portion of "non-covered" repairs. HWA didn't get back to us until May 27 after several calls and an escalation. They provided a quote with crazy prices for a drip pan, foam blocks, and overflow switch totaling $1290 for our portion of "non-covered" parts. So I contacted Resilience. So our A/C decided to give up this week and Resilience was there when we needed them. We had them service our unit at the start of summer, before a big event, and were told that the unit was very old but still working. Fast forward a few weeks and the nonstop 105+ degrees and humidity was too much and the A/C would work and then just stop. We had Resilience come out a couple of times to get us working but with the caveat that again, the unit was on its last legs. This week was enough and we had to have them install a new A/C unit. I came back from a trip to my place at 87 degrees and wouldn't cool passed 83. Through out a few requests and the folks at Resilience were the only ones able to accept a quick look. Yusuan came over really quickly and was super professional (and understanding since I no one from the front office got in until later in the day, so we couldn't go up to the roof). Couldn't rate Yusuan any higher for the amazing service, ability to solve the problem and get the fix made. After purchasing a new house i have struggled for 3 years until I came across Yusuan. A noisy condenser unit located outside the master bedroom, moving the unit and this summer the performance was terrible. Prob had 6 different companies try fix the problems (and cost me money) with only Yusuan able to fix it. He was out to provide a quote free of charge, but ended up spending about an hour and a half of his time trying to nail down the solution. Our 25 year AC needed replacing. We contacted 12 Austin AC companies, got bids and asked questions of all. I am also an engineer and have run a few businesses, not my first rodeo. Spent a few weeks learning and deciding. Every once in a while you run across a company that is just nailing it. An owner that is engaged and responsive, focused on quality and customer service. An experienced crew that works in competent unison. Resilience Heating and Cooling is that company. Their bid was not our lowest, but it did deliver the most value. The work was impeccable, extra care was taken in the details, everything was code -- but quality show in the details. Yusuan and crew took the extra time to seal two leaky plenums, to rerun the drain lines, to update the gas piping, dedicated the time it takes to teach us the new controls, even the work area was cleaner than when they got here, and shoe covers were used when they were in the house. The project happened at speed, we were cool by early afternoon. They respected our COVID distancing requests -- as we are protecting those we love -- thank you.
