My daughters surgery was scheduled for 12:15pm on 12/14 it's now 3:30 and she's still waiting! This is completely unacceptable! We got here at 11:30 just in case they needed any more info then they already had. Patients are nervous about having surgery and then they leave you sitting there for hours ( by yourself!) nobody is allowed to wait with them! If I could give this place zero stars, I would. First of all, it took me a month to even get in for an appointment. Today was the day, I came in at 10:15 am (appointment was for 10:30) and didn't get seen till 12 noon. And that's after asking a couple times when I'd be seen, because I let them know beforehand I needed to leave by 12:30. My Dr. was Dr. Lee. Didn't make eye contact. Asked to see my X-Rays (Now, I was told to bring in ALL x-rays, even ones I had done on my back in 2004). Dr. Lee put them up to take a quick look, noticed the date, and was like "these are 14 years old. Did you bring your baby pictures too??" Rudely. Not even a chuckle or smirk to go along with it. He spent the rest of the time, with his back turned towards me typing away on his computer just to tell me there's nothing really they can do for me except getting referred to the lady that can give me an injection. Ok, cool, whatever will work! Well. Now I have to wait almost another month and a half to get that appointment. So not only am I suffering for longer than I should have to, but Dr. Lee needs to learn some bedside manner. Rude as hell. Left in tears. Filing a complaint. Once again they were "running behind schedule". Arrived at 10:10 for my 10:15 appointment. At 11:15 I inquired if they had forgotten about me. Was told they were running behind and there was only 1 person ahead of me. That person went in 5 minutes later. At 11:50 they called for a gentleman who had only been there 45 minutes. These people in the pain management office is terrible and inconsiderate. My husband called and scheduled an appointment a month ago and the day of his appointment they don't have him in their system. Then they reschedule him for another three weeks out and Jessica was rude and didn't even apologize just straight out NASTY and inconsiderate. We'll be changing his doctor and hoped they get rid of Jessica or give her some customer service training. Update: I called back and spoke with Elise the office manager of Scott Strum MD. She was the greatest and her customer service was exceptional. She apologized and found my husband a earlier appointment. If I could give 0 stars I would. I have never had a Doctor tell me to find a new job or have no compassion at all. I have been having problems with my knee for about a year now which has progressively gotten worse. Tells me to go to physical therapy and to look for a new profession. Why go to physical therapy if I'm already in pain? Told me to use CBD oil. I had a great experience with PA Megan and her assistant Edwin, I would give them 5 stars but definitely 0 for Dr Ghazal. Follow Up - A representative from Arrowhead (Jacqueline) Responded to my review and we spoke. She was very apologetic and concerned. More than that, she spoke to her team, including Melissa, who took point on calls, and was able to fix the problem, enabling us to keep our Monday appointment with the specialist. I upped the rating because of their efforts, and hope that their energy will be communicated to the rest of the team so that things can be done correctly the first time. Thank you Jacqueline and Melissa, for your help. Hopefully the Dr Appt is satisfactory and we can rank the company overall, instead of on this one portion of our experience. We can't even rate the medical care, because we cannot get treatments scheduled through their staff. We've literally spent over 3 hours on hold over the last few weeks trying to get them to confirm an MRI approval. I hung up today after 30 minutes on hold waiting for Valerie, who is supposed to be a supervisor. Left her 2 messages through the operator and Sharon yesterday, no call back. Delilah, we were told, is supposed to be the one facilitating the authorization. We only know her by name, because after leaving 5 messages for her this week, NO CALL BACK. Yesterday, attempted to reach Delilah 3 times...was told: "at lunch", "She doesn't have a phone" and was put on endless hold. This is no way to treat customers who are already in pain and trying to get it fixed. You are making the problem worse. This company needs a major service overhaul. read more

The only good thing I can say about this place is that I was able to get an MRI done that I have on disc and can take to another doctor. 3 visits later, I'm still in pain, my knee locks up on me out of nowhere, and I can't even get a cortisone shot for relief "because it's for old people." What a waste of time. My first dr. had no bedside manner, so I switched to someone who didn't lack basic people skills. The second dr., I had high hopes for, but after his "analysis" of my MRI today, I have ZERO faith. I honestly don't think he knew how to correctly analyze the results. I have zero knowledge of anatomy and I peeked at it and saw a few odd things, mainly a round lump thingie. Interestingly, I overheard the student PA talking with him about the results and I heard her say something about the meniscus being torn, which he shot down immediately...Wish she would have been my doctor. Anyways, I'm so frustrated with this place. All those doctors on the roster, and I can't get ONE who can help me? 0 for 2. Case in point, the variety of responses from doctors at the same facility, within weeks of one another: First doctor told me I have severe arthritis and need surgery. (I didn't like him, but he was the 2nd doctor to tell me this in the last year, in his defense.) At least he referred me to pain management and gave me a cortisone shot in office, which gave me relief about 2 days later. I was grateful for that and thought at least I have a way to alleviate the discomfort a little bit now. My second doctor said I don't have arthritis (wth?!) and there is no need for surgery or any follow up with pain management for cortisone shots or anything really. Isn't there a happy medium here?! Actually, writing this, and connecting his analysis of my arthritis, which contradicted two prior doctors' opinions, I would put money on the fact that he didn't correctly assess my MRI either. My leg locks in the bent position and I have to pop it back into place by straightening my leg, which is WAY harder than it sounds. I know as soon as it locks, I'm screwed for as long as it takes to get it back into place. Last time it was locked for 16 hours and I missed work. Obviously something is wrong here! But do I really want to go through the hassle of finding parking, missing work, and waiting over an hour each visit to see a doctor when I've had such awful experiences thus far? I'll probably wait until my insurance changes in the fall and go with someone else not affiliated with this place. My honest advice: There is probably a *chance* of getting a good doctor here. You have good odds anyways, there are so many. (I just have awful luck, I guess.) BUT unless you go to them with an injury so blatantly obvious as a bone popping out of your arm, then you might have trouble finding the cause, and thus, the SOLUTION to your problem. If you have an elderly family member, go with them. In this place, you need incredible self-advocacy skills. Without them, you're liable to leave with the wrong answers or without any answers or relief. :,( I'm pretty sure it caters to Medi-cal and worker's comp, as well. Our appointment was scheduled for 3pm. We are sitting in the lounge for almost an hour. It is 3:49pm. When I complained to the front desk, she's not at fault. The woman that checked in at the same time with me left 30 minutes ago and her appointment was also at 3:00pm. Who scheduled these appointments at the same time so that someone would be sitting here waiting for over 50minutes. Maybe a good idea would be schedule me for 4pm!!! I'm sure they will still have business but this is ridiculous.I would post zero but it's not available. Trash company, can't do the work they advertised and doesn't know what they're doing at all

Have been trying to get a appointment for about 2 months for my Workman's Comp. It was approved right away. Have talked to a scheduling supervisor. Have left at least 3 or 4 messages with the Workman's Comp supervisor have not received a call back from anyone. I keep calling to no satisfaction. I gave a 1 star rating only because it doesn't allow you to give negative star rating. Unfortunately this isn't the exception for me it's almost every time. This place did nothing to help me manage my pain .I just went in every one to three months or so and got a few prescriptions. I finally moved and now have doctor's that listen to me not just pass me in and out of the room .I am now actually managing the pain and have a diagnosis Wich gave me answers .I can't imagine what would have happened if I hadn't moved .I would be in a living hell and on dangerous drugs, unable to function. read more

Dr. David Wood was my doctor for this first visit and I was extremely impressed but his professionalism, his straight forward approach and his genuine concern for my pain. Worst place. First of all upon arriving ALLLL front desk girls are no help. Giggling and talking amongst themselves. No one makes you feel welcome they all have attitude and just fucking stare. Secondly I was taken back and got X-rays . I've been in chronic pain for about a year from a accident. I was referred here in hopes for some answers and treatment. So after X-rays are taken I seen Dr. Gail Hopkins or whoever. He is so RUDE from jump. He does not ask me about my issues or back or accident . He simply says "welp there's a easy answer here. It's your lifestyle" obviously referring to my weight he continues to go on and to say " it's a easy answer is the pain that bad you're willing to let people stick needled in your back or you can exercise more and make the change" at this point I'm in shock. He knew nothing about me or my accident and went on to talk about my weight. He then said "yea so I'll let you think about it and you let me know" so fuckin rude and disrespectful after reading more reviews I have no idea how this place is in practice and shame on dr Gail for assuming , judging and not taking care of his patients. read more

Tried to tell me and other patients in the waiting room, (which has the hardest chairs imaginable for BACK SURGERY PATIENTS), who mentioned it to EXERCISE with pain so bad we couldn't possibly. I normally don't write reviews but after this experience I felt the need to write a review. Dr. Wood was awesome! I had an appointment with Dr. Wood for an AME. He was very honest and upfront with me about the process and listened to everything I had to say. We spent several hours conducting the interview and examination. After I left the location I had a question for Dr. Wood so I called the location and left a message for the nurse to call me back. To my surprise Dr. Wood himself called me back and spoke with me personally. From someone that has been going through a workers compensation claim and the process for approx. 6 years, I can tell you this is not the norm! I just had my first nutritional consultation with Rita. Yes, Arrowhead Orthopaedics has their a nutritionist onsite. We reviewed over my food allergies and items that I normally eat at each meal. Rita then made recommendations for beneficial foods items to eat throughout the day and what items to avoid. She also discussed the importance of staying hydrated. She has outlined a plan that will help me reach a healthy weight and same my joints. read more

I needed help. I worked with Dr Patton and Rita the nutritionist to get where i needed to be. I am a diabetic. I needed my a1c to get under 7.5 in order to have the surgery i needed. It was hard work but i put the work in and accomplished what needed to be done. They were honest with me and helped me in the journey i was going on. It wasnt easy but the staff really did care for my well being. I have a long recovery ahead since my surgery but knowing i have the staff at arrowhead ortho will hopefully make the revovery just a yad bit easier. They told me the truth. Thats what a friend does. My husband saw Dr. Jonathan Allen at the Victorville office in October 2019. Dr. Allen had to inform my husband that, because of the delay in treatment due to the medical group running my husband around to different specialists, nothing could be done about my husband's extremely painful spine injury. (It took 5 months to get a referral to Dr. Allen and about a month to get a new patient appointment.) He did tell us what to watch out for in the event of a pinched nerve. This is now happening and I am fighting the medical group to get my husband back to Dr. Allen before he loses the use of his right arm permanently. My husband has over 50 years of experience with orthopedic doctors/surgeons due to a variety of injuries. He is completely impressed by Dr. Allen's professionalism, candor, and knowledge. We would highly recommend Dr. Jonathan Allen to anyone who needs an excellent orthopedic doctor. read more

STAY AWAY!!!!! Dr. Wood is unprofessional, distracted, creepy and sexually inappropriate. I was unfortunately assigned to this place for Workers Comp and aside from his inappropriate behavior he hit my nerve while administering a cortisone shot. He could not continue with the injection because of the instant pain and discomfort he caused. I walked out of there worse than when I walked in. TOTAL NIGHTMARE!! I feel for those Spanish speaking ladies I saw in the waiting room who may not be able to advocate for themselves. 2nd surgery with them. Dr Solomon was great But, I won't use this company again. The office staff defines the word incompetent. I've been to both Redlands and Riverwalk locations and same at both. Cannot get paperwork completed, even after paying upfront $25, get lied to, they don't answer phones. 1st surgery went through same thing and then having to go back because the information was completed WRONG. Took two weeks of calling, begging, cajoling, and pleading to get it in first place only to be told by HR and Disability that dates were wrong. I called 8 days ago and was told to fax paperwork to their office and was given fax number to use. Went to office 2 days ago and was told they don't take paperwork through fax??? Then why did they give me fax number?? Called today to see if paperwork was completed yesterday as promised by person called to front desk regarding the paperwork. After waiting on hold a ridiculous long time, the receptionist asked me when was the last time I was paid. My response was "excuse me", she then stated "When was last time you got your disability check"? I answered that I have not received a disability check because I can't get them to complete paperwork. Her response was to tell me it takes 5 to 10 days for paperwork. I hung up. I then tried calling the Jacqueline Ash that responded to previous reviews of same nature. Yeah, no answer there either. This is amazing, and not in a good way. I would cut them slack considering current issues, but they did the same to me last November. Do not use this group if you are going to need disability paperwork completed!!! There is more impact to your life than just the cutting. Go someplace that will provide the support you need to get through a stressful situation. This group isn't the group for that. read more

My son was seen by Dr. Patton for a fractured ankle and he was completely unprofessional. He said he wasn't "convinced" my sons ankle was fractured although the ER Doctor and X-rays said otherwise. He told him to walk on it. Without a boot! A day later my sons ankle was swollen 2 times the size it was originally. Finally after receiving proper care he's healing but please don't go there . I have had severe right arm pain since March of 2021 and I have been going to Arrowhead Orthopedic in Redlands for almost 2 years now, I had sever arthritis in my right hip and we did physical therapy and shots and pain management and until today I have been very very satisfied with my care from Dr Burton who did hip replacement surgery and Dr Strum who handles my pain Management and the PA-C K. Szczesik but my visit today was horrible with Dr. Barry Grames.My appointment was for 8:10 today but they called yesterday at 2:35 and asked if I could change it to 1:40 and I agreed no problem,I get there 10 minutes early and check in and 10 minutes later the x ray technician takes me back to do X-rays and then takes me to room 7 and then 10 minutes later the nurse practitioner comes in asks me what I am here for and my pain level and I say 8 and he types it in and leaves and I am thinking this is great it's 1:55 and Dr Grrames should be in a few minutes, he comes in at 3:00 no apologies for being an hour and twenty minutes after my appointment, ask how long my arm has hurt, what did I do and what measures have I taken, I tell him pt and shots and pain management and it's worse and he tells me only thing left would be surgery and not sure it would help and it could make it worse so what do I want to do,I told him I had same pain in left arm years ago and I was told it was calcium buildup and they went in and cleaned it up and I have never had any more problems, they said it would help and it did and he says I don't make promises or guarantees you got lucky so what do you want to do and by then I am crying and crying and I say I want a better quality of life and don't want to take pain medicine,surgery could help and it could make it worse,the whole time he stands with his back against door,he has his nurse typing and tells me to raise my hands above my head and then says let me know what you want to do and I say I will try pt again and you can order the surgery and he says you can't do both if you want me to order the surgery then I can't order pt.He leaves and his kind and sympathetic nurse hands me a box of tissue and I am standing there in awe of his coldness and distant behavior.I am going to see another Shoulder Surgeon because I never ever want to see his cold hearted self again.Candis M. read more

They messed up on my referral for my son's CT Scan so he almost had to cancel his surgery, they told me they would be providing my son with a boot, they never did, I had to get one on my own through my insurance, they refused me service because I wasn't notified that I had a copay when this is already his 2nd check up without a copay something about you don't have a copay within 90 days of surgery(I'm supposed to know that) couldn't bill me... so frustrated.
