I recently made a mistake and backed into my neighbor's mailbox making a fifty-cent sized mark and dent on my bumper (white BMW). I got three estimates to fix it including one from Art Auto Body. I went to them because they did a nice job when my insurance company sent me there some time ago after someone slammed into my driver side. One estimate was $700, one was $750, Art Auto Body was $1,700 (He told me the whole bumper had to be replaced. It didn't). I went for the $700 (Greg Zurla Auto Body in Congers) and they did a great job. So glad I shopped around. read more

I took my car here to get repairs done after an accident. I requested an estimate and he gave me one. After reviewing the estimate I spoke with him about insurance coverage and he got a funny look on his face and said "Oh, I didn't know this was for insurance." He had given me a much higher estimate for the work done, thinking that it was going to be paid out of pocket and not paid by an insurance company (who would probably fought or decline the higher cost and therefore he would have lost the business!). Snakey way of doing business. I would have taken my car elsewhere but it was not road safe and I didn't want to have to pay for a tow truck on top of the added hoopla of not having a vehicle while repairs were being performed. Then, they ran the battery out on my car by not listening to me about the light. The door had been knocked in so that the overhead light would stay on, as the automatic light sensor registered the door as "open." They didn't listen to me about this and never fixed the light so my battery was shot after I got the car back. I suppose because I am a woman they thought that I was a total idiot and 1.) wanted to overcharge me and 2.) wouldn't listen to me about the damn light. I would give this place negative stars if I could. read more

Well needed new tires do I go to have the replaced, to my surprise the mechanic knew the car was in an accident. He said that repairs were not done on the car and it will cost me with tires almost two thousand dollars. Which means Art Auto body lied to Geico and me staring that the are was fixed. I complained that something was wrong and they took a test drive with me the day I picked it up. They heard the noise and they told me there nothing more they can do. After having my car for over a month they did not do all the repairs like they said they did! Disgusting and they should not be in business fixing cars, Geico shame in them too! read more

My experience with Art Auto Body, Inc. was AMAZING from the first phone call to the moment I drove off with my car. I got into an accident the day before Thanksgiving, $6300 worth of damage to the front end of my 2 month old car. I picked Art Auto Body, Inc. off of the list of Geico approved shops because it was the closest to my home. A gentleman named Ary became my point of contact throughout my repairs, he and the front desk staff were extremely professional, helpful and very friendly. I was provided with a courtesy car to use while my car was being repaired after I found out I failed to add rental coverage to my auto insurance which spared me the HUGE expense of having to go through Enterprise. They began working on my car right away and once the adjuster from Geico came I was provided with my estimate and a date in which my vehicle would be ready by. Not only did I receive TEXT MESSAGES updating me on the status of repairs but my car was ready on the date promised. The repairs were SEAMLESS and the sparkly gun metal gray paint was a perfect match. My car looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor, it was also detailed inside and out. Everyone at Art Auto Body, Inc. turned and incredibly stressful situation during an incredibly stressful time of year into a positive experience. I rear ended this guy on the palisades during summer of 2009. My hood was bent in half, bumper smashed, right headlight destroyed, radiator destroyed, etc etc. Basically to sum it up, my front right side was a mess. I took it to Art Auto Body. The place is family owned. These guys were very informative about what was going on with my car and always stayed in communication. I told them I was a college student and didn't have that much to pay for repairs but i really wanted the car to look new again since i had literally just bought it. Art Auto Body worked with me. They salvaged anything and everything they could to reduce the price to help me out. When i got the car back in about 2 weeks, it looked brand new. You couldnt even tell work was done. I have used Art for many years, my family has used them even longer. Last time I brought my car to them for a repair, I had to bring it back to them to repair their initial repair. There were finger prints under the clearcoat, requiring them to redo their work. The colored paint did not match the factory paint on my 6-month old car. I now have one door that is darker than the rest of my car. In their defense, Marty told me that it is very difficult to match light-colored metallic paint. My car is silver. That being said, I asked other people who work in similar industries and they all said that Art should have used the factory paint code rather than attempting to match such a difficult color, especially on a new car. My family is very unhappy with the work. We will not use them again. read more

They assist you with whatever questions you may have with your car and insurance and advise in your best interest! I had a very enjoyable experience with this shop. From the moment I walked through the door, I was being helped and followed up with. The woman at the front desk was very kind and affable. And for a Wednesday afternoon it was pretty packed and I had to wait a little longer than I wanted to to see the guy for the car rental I had to get. But..... MARTIN TO THE RESCUE!!! He came right in, and got the ball rolling and even offered a helpful tip for renting cars. I was able to pick my car up today and I was so pleased. I couldn't even tell where the damage was! I recently moved to Blauvelt and after the snow storm was in need of a repair for my jeep, I had taken off one of my brake lights and the spoiler. From start to finish everyone I had spoken with at Art's Auto Body was excellent. The damage to my car was fixed the same day within hours. Although it wasn't a huge job to be done I was still so impressed with how accommodating everyone was. Every customer in the office seemed to be just as pleased as I was with the service. Around the walls of the office they have certifications for every car manufacturer you can imagine. Friendly at first but work was horrible! I ended up taking my car to another body shop recommended by State Farm after the owner became confrontational about the problems with over spraying, dry edges, etc.... Immediately the other body shop without me telling them anything, found all the issues that Art Auto Body had left on my car. Even noted that the color didn't match!! I WILL NEVER TAKE MY CAR TO ART! My parked car was hit in the rear and the person that did the deed did not want to go through insurance so she offered to pay. I decided on two places for estimates. Art Auto Body and another in Rockland County, NY. I went to AAB first. When I arrived Simon came out to look at the car and was WONDERFUL. Straight forward, told me what he could do AND additional tweaks that he could manage while taking care of my rear bumper and that they offer a free loaner. I left it there heading to the next location. Once I arrived someone came out and looked at my car. The gentleman said he needed to clean the car off to get a true picture and came back with a kit with fluids. I immediately thought to myself they were going to be better because of this whole production. We go back inside so he can write up the estimate, after a few minutes we go back outside so he can give me a spiel by my car. After explaining that they are a little bit on the higher end, and that it's all worth it he gave me an estimate over $1000 more than AAB's with things like electrical and other nonsense AND that they have an Enterprise rental service conveniently located inside for an additional fee. Needless to say I went with AAB. they called me, set up and appointment and loaner and I got my car in. Exactly 3 days she was done. Fixed minor issues all over- cleaned inside the car and even took out my passenger seat to retrieve my darn Apple AirPod that I thought was stuck (sadly it wasn't there) My 2014 Kia Optima looks like new. Simon and all the staff at Art Auto Body are the freaking best!!! I highly recommend. I am so lame because I have no before and after pics, take my word for it!!! read more

I took my car to Art Auto Body about three years ago when tree branches hit my car. They did a great job and you could not tell any work was done. So fast forward to the present. My mother had a leased car that had numerous bad scratches on it and I took it to them to fix before turning in the lease for her. They did an awesome job and you would never know there was any work done. Moreover, they went over and above to help me return the car to the dealer since the dealer was giving me a hard time even though I was not responsible for the car. They helped me return the car and got the plates for me to turn into motor vehicles. I would definitely come back and highly recommend them. read more

I was hit during a snowy, icy drive to work the weekend before Christmas and it put a dent in my passenger door which wouldn't close properly. Although the repair was fine, it really was my experience with Simon that threw me off. This happened in 2014 . I still pass that shop on the road and think wow what a way to treat a customer. Unfortunately I had someone scratch up my car while it sat overnight in my parents driveway. As disappointing as that was, having it get fixed was my priority to just move on. Well, if you want someone who says one thing and acts nice in front of you that would be Simon. I dropped off the car Monday at 8 am, after the insurance estimated the repair; I was promised a Wednesday pick up. Wednesday came and went and I called on Thursday and spoke to a nice receptionist asking about the estimated time it will be fixed. Nothing crazy, but I get put through to Simon who proceeded to tell me that the work on the car hasn't even been started and that they weren't making any money off my repair, they were doing it as a favor to my boyfriend who refers them business. 1) I own a small business- I'm not looking for hand outs, I know how important money coming in is 2) if you didn't start the repair , wouldn't that have been nice to inform me? 3) Telling a customer you aren't making any money off the repair just made me getting that repair awkward, correct? I remember telling him I would be happy to go to another place because the last thing I wanted was for a business to not make money. Anyway the repair was completed , yes much later than expected. I had my boyfriend pick up the car because I didn't want to deal with Simon. Moral of the story - treat everyone with respect to the situation- I wasn't looking for any favors and I didn't appreciate the way that was handled. read more

I recently had my car repaired by Art Auto Body. I go to pick my car up and I examined the work done. I noticed imperfections under the paint along with cracking. I pointed out scratches on my fender that were not there previously prior having them work on my car. Paint supplies were left in my trunk. Ari agreed to fix the issues I mentioned to him. I go to pick my car up for a second time. Still not satisfied. I don't recommend this shop if you want you car fixed the first time. Don't use there loaner car ( Nissan Versa) the car is ready to fall apart. The suspension is shot, the front bumper is ready to fall off at any given time, it seems as if it's held together by paper clips read more

Here is the reason for a 5 star rating, and no I was not paid nor do I work there. I am just a customer. About a year and a half ago I backed out of a parking space and hit a pylon. Brand new Genesis 2016 2 months off the lot. Ouch! Completely annihilated the driver side door and a good portion of the front driver side quarter panel. In addition to changing the paint color. I called Art Auto Body and explained what happened, in a nutshell. When I arrived they looked at the car, I dropped it off, received a rental and drove to work. Yes all in one visit, all at one place. When the car was finished they called me, I dropped off the rental, picked up my car no problem. Just like new. Then again earlier this year I was rear ended, again, I called and the same thing drop off, pick up and go. No stress no running between and rental agency or waiting to be picked up or dropped off. One stop shopping insurance, auto body and rental all in one. Friday I notice a long scratch on the passenger side of my car. About 6 inches long. I tried to fix it. Yes I did. Got out the touch up paint kit, easy right, wrong. I made the scratch worse with my do-it-yourself repair job. This morning I pulled in to Art Auto Body explained what happened, they laughed, but that is ok. And then..... they fixed it! Yes on the spot, got out their bottle of magic, rubbed the touch up paint off and then rubbed out the scratches. AMAZINGLY AWESOME! The spot looks as if nothing ever happened, talk about a great start to a Monday. Thank You Art Auto body. I would definitely recommend them for any repair. read more

My car was hit by someone insured thru StateFarm. StateFarm took full responsibility for the damage. StateFarm required that I have one of their estimators look at the car to provide me with reimbursement. They said I can have the car repaired anywhere. They directed me to Art Auto Body which is their closest StateFarm estimator. Prior to going, I had the body shop that I'd selected to do the work, give me an estimate also. At first the estimator at Art Auto Body was pleasant. I showed him the damage, he took some pictures. We went back inside to see if he was going to be able to give me a check the same day, or they would be mailing it. I then asked him what happens if his estimate differs from the estimate I received from the auto body shop that's going to be doing the work. He said "Don't you think you should have showed the estimate to me if you had it?". I replied that I didn't think he'd need it to do an independent estimate, and besides, you didn't ask me for it or ask if I had had one done. He then says "Look, I'm not playing games with you". This is about where I lost my temper. I don't think this conversation needs any explanation. It's amazing how this a-hole can talk to people like this and still have a job. If this is the type of person dealing with you before you have any work done, I can't imagine that the rest of the service from either Art Auto Body, or StateFarm is any better.
