Took my 2008 Nissan Rogue to be fixed. My fiancee was T-boned by a distracted driver. I was in the front passenger seat. Everyone was fine, due to the fact that the drivers were traveling slowly (10-15 mph). Both cars sustained some front end damage. In fact, after the Police showed up, the at-fault vehicle driver recommended Art Auto Body on Route 303. And we followed his recommendation to get our Nissan fixed there. We had some insurance hiccups (nothing to do with Art Auto Body) but after we resolved all insurance issues, Art Auto started work on the vehicle. We dealt with Martin. The vehicle was fixed in about 10 days, and it was a professional job. But what stood out for me was that Martin was willing to go the extra mile - above and beyond what I asked him to do. I had a ding and a few scratches (unrelated to the accident), and Martin agreed to fix those at no additional cost. And this is the reason why Art Auto gets 5 stars - the willingness to go above and beyond for the customer. There are many Body shops shops out there - and accidents do happen. You always hope and pray that you are not the unlucky person. But sometimes it does happen to you and when it does, you want a body shop that will be willing to go the extra mile. After a bad accident you normally dread the worst. I have to say that the folks at Art Auto Body, Inc in West Nyack, NY made the experience almost delightful. Art Auto Body came highly recommended to me by my brother, who had one of his cars fixed there, and my sister, who about 2 months previous had a bad flat tire and, while she was waiting for her husband to come and fix it, was approached by an employee of Art Auto Body (Frank) who volunteered to change the tire for absolutely no charge. Anyway, my experience was also excellent. After my wife's accident last week we managed to drive the car to Art Auto Body but it was a little past closing time. However, Martin was most helpful and told us not to worry about our being there past hours. He took down all the necessary information.
