Long Island Children's Museum - Exterior Sign

Long Island Children's Museum

I loved that the staff was right there, constantly cleaning up the extra bubbles and adding more soap to keep the fun going. The giant blue blocks section was so cool, too--the kids built a ton of different things and had a blast destroying them afterward! The old-school phones are always a fun classic, and they absolutely loved the animal section upstairs. It was a perfect day out for the family!

One of the better children's museums we've been too. Located next to a bunch of other family…read morethings, this is on the big side and should burn a few hours for most kids. Lots of interactive exhibits, play areas and the obligatory climbing structure. Will inevitably be busy like most things on Long Island. Staff is friendly enough however mostly in the background. Good balance of different types of things to do, including a few animals upstairs. The town play set area is very cool, and I love that they have a rotating exhibit space. It was trains when we were there, themed to Thomas the train with both a ton of tracks to play with, as well as life sized Thomas train characters. Had to drag my son out of there, however luckily their gift shop is decent with legitimate toys versus just cheap crap. Would definitely come back here.

The young man at the cashier was very friendly and made the process very easy. The park itself is not that big, there are several stations to jump, play dodgeball, obstacle course and ball pit. It was a bit dirty in the seating area for parents with food and garbage on the floor. My son said he didn't get to enjoy the dodgeball station since they had to wait a long line for their turn and ended up only being able to play for less than 5 minutes. My son and his friends made the best of the experience but I probably won't be returning to this location.

This place is literally falling apart. It looks like it's being held together with duct tape (it…read moreactually is in many parts), and the overall cleanliness is awful--filthy floors, worn equipment, and zero sense that anyone takes pride in the facility. The employees clearly do not care. There was no urgency, no customer service, and no accountability. To make matters worse, they refused to honor a free VIP pass that was given to me by a manager, which is completely unacceptable. The check-in process was horrendous--slow, disorganized, and frustrating from start to finish. No explanation, no effort to help, just indifference. There is absolutely no reason to come back here. Poor condition, poor service, and poor management all around. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Finally had the chance to stop in and play with the kids. It's cute but when we went it was just…read morethe downstairs that was open and it felt small. There weren't too many people there and the kids had a lot of fun themselves. There are small treats and drinks you can order while you are there. There's space to sit and take a break during open play.'Whats nice is there is a pizza place right next door if you wanted to grab food for after. Small but otherwise a good place to let the littles play!

A Latte Fun left a latte be desired. This is a great place to come if you'd like for your little to…read morepick up a communicable disease and warrant a trip to PM Peds. The place was filthy - it's quite obvious when your children's clothing is covered in brown and black dirt from playing or crawling around on the floor. Gross. The person working here spent zero time supervising the play space or cleaning up/reorganizing any of the play areas. Instead, they sat on the counter doom scrolling. If this is an establishment that serves food and drinks, I don't know, maybe don't sit on the prep space? It's not sanitary nor is it professional. Another mom made us aware of an upstairs play area for the smaller crew. This wasn't told to us by the person working when we came in or at any point during our stay. We made our way upstairs where it was dark and uninviting. They had a bounce house which was in working order, but that too was dirty. All the toys up here were broken and busted or missing batteries. What? Where's the maintenance? The other parents here barely paid attention to their kids so if you come, put your phone down and be vigilant. My friend's younger daughter was on the carousel and bigger kids were being wild and running around on top of it so I had to swoop her off so she wouldn't be trampled. Another boy kept taking play food where my daughter was sitting at a small table and taking her plate and flinging it across the room, several times. While I'm not that child's parent, I had no issue stepping in when safety and kindness were being compromised. A latte germs, zero supervision. It's a one and done from us, especially with so many other play spaces popping up on the island.

The area and where they eat were separated, which is really really nice. I do not remember if there was any food but service was great. I don't know if they offer any other services but if you need a small little party place, this is the spot.

There were two staff members during the party and they were nice and helpful. The place is perfect for younger kids (maybe 5 and under) and spacious with a lot of things for the little ones to do. The play area is fenced in although the entrance to the play area is open (no gate). There was also I believe a little reading nook area in the corner by the front of the facility? Everything looked very clean and the place was brightly lit. I love that you can see the entire play area if you're sitting down and having a coffee or something. They have some food and drinks available for purchase during non-party times. There were two private bathrooms and free parking in the back. I also saw an outdoor fenced play area behind the facility which I'm assuming would be for when the weather is nicer out. It was my first time at Sippy Cups (though I've always heard them recommended by other moms) but I'd definitely return to check out their open play! If you're thinking of doing a birthday party for your little one, I would highly recommend it although not sure of party pricing. Beautiful setup and all the kids had a great time. Remember to wear socks or you have to purchase.
