I've used Trophies By Jay before, but this experience was so bad it permanently ended any future business. I dropped off two fantasy championship trophies for plaque engraving, which should be one of the simplest, most routine jobs imaginable. After an entire week of complete silence, I called for an update and was told, word for word, "Fantasy trophies are not the priority right now. I'll get to them when I can." No timeline. No apology. Just blatant dismissal. I gave it more time and called again four business days later, only to receive the exact same response. When I pressed for an ETA, I was told there was none and that he maybe could get to it by the end of the following week--nearly three weeks after drop-off for basic engraving. At that point, it was clear my order was never going to be treated with even minimal importance. Rather than taking responsibility or communicating like a professional, the owner became openly hostile and combative on the phone, telling me to come pick up the trophies so he "didn't have to deal with" me asking for updates. When I arrived to retrieve them and calmly stated I would be leaving a review, he had a full meltdown--stormed into the back room, started yelling, and ordered me out of the store like a child throwing a tantrum. Yes, the physical work is passable--but that is completely overshadowed by the astonishing level of arrogance, disrespect, and contempt shown toward paying customers. The owner clearly does not value people's time, does not understand customer service, and should not be running a business that requires any interaction with the public. If you value professionalism, communication, or even basic human decency, take your business anywhere else. This was hands down one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had, and I will never return. I strongly recommend others avoid this place entirely.

I sent Engrave Lab an email asking for additional information and inquired whether they'd be able to accommodate my request on such short notice. Varun, the owner, responded quickly and assured me that if I stopped by that afternoon that he'd be able to take care of the engraving. The location is on Old Country Rd, you can't miss it. The shop is decently sized and clean. Varun explained the process, let me pick out a font and showed me where the engraving would lay on the watch. I appreciated his feedback and knowledge during the process. While we waited for the engraving to be completed, I learned that Varun offers classes that you can take with a partner - making for a potentially fun date night. He also does engravings at weddings and special events. Overall I had a great experience with Engrave Lab. My partner loved the engraving and I'll definitely be back in the future.

The owner Varun gave me a tour showing me a variety of impressive engraving items. He will be having signups for workshop classes that are about 2 hours each where you can make your own items. There is a QR to scan for choice of schedule and items . It is a great place for custom named pieces and a fresh unique place to checkout for an activity or party. Currently the set up is for a maximum of 8 crafters per session, who can with this special machinery create their own individual pieces with a choice of items made from wood slate and other materials. I've signed up and will have more after completing my special pieces. I suggest you check it out.

North Shore Monuments is an extremely greedy company that you should avoid. Most of the local monument companies refuse to install privately purchased monuments because of the extremely high markups they charge.

Five years ago, we had engaged North Shore for help and advice for our project honoring 11 Army airmen killed in a heroic life-saving action in Bellerose NY in 1940. Their excellent support for the design and material for this memorial, and invaluable technical guidance was instrumental for the eventual successful completion of the monument this year. North Shore Monuments completed construction on schedule in early June 2023, and we dedicated the memorial monument as "The Bellerose War Memorial" on June 17th. Our thanks in particular to North Shore's construction manager Mario Morales and his staff, owners and advisors Hugh and Maggie Tanchuck, but especially to Lisa Burke. Lisa's close communication, coordination and expert guidance over the many years of planning this project contributed greatly to its eventual successful completion. The monument work was outstanding, but the exceptional helpful and knowledgeable people of North Shore Monuments made it all possible.

The men came and took the 90 inch couch at 4pm on a wednesday, and returned the next morning around 9:15 am. We assumed there would be a patch visible over the problem area. Well, instead, it was returned with an imperceptible spot where only one looking for it would see. Utterly professional outfit, have used their services twice before, and always have had the same result. Their repair saved us thousands of dollars.
