I just got home…read moreyesterday after a wonderful weekend, and have already contacted the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce about coming back again next year. If you don't get filled with "Christmas Spirit" after spending a day, or two, or three, in this wonderful community that pulls out all the stops to spread the hope of Christmas, then you must have green skin, and your mail all must come addressed to someone name Scrooge! Seriously, my good friend Santa Clause loves this place almost as much as I do. He must, because I have run into him every time I go there!

Basically burgers, sausages, kettle corn, and mini donuts. We were expecting much more authentic German food and variety. They did have a caricature artist, a small Ferris wheel, a carousel, and a couple of simple carnival games, but overall it felt more like a small county fair than a true Oktoberfest. The bands were good musicians, but they mostly played American cover songs instead of German music, which took away from the theme. They were supposed to be open until midnight and everything was shutdown by 10 pm. I wouldn't recommend this event. Instead, I'd suggest skipping the entry fee and enjoying one of the many great nearby restaurants or beer gardens in downtown Leavenworth. You'll have a much better time and more authentic food for the same or less money.

You must pay for the festival (we came a weekend and went 2 days), and admission does not include anything except live entertainment and access to the event, which was expected. The annoying this about thing event is that they really push ticket sales ($1 a ticket and one beer is 8 tickets) so most people were left with extra tickets at the end of the night. Food options were super limited and we were disappointed that there wasn't more German street food here. The evening show two nights in a row was exactly the same...same singer, same songs....kind of lame that that was not planned better. And the music played all American covers...no German music from what we saw :( Overall, the event was just whatever. In all honesty, I'd say save your money and go to the cool cider house or restaurants in town.

Do not waste your time or money on their price-gouging Oktoberfest event. There's no sense of fun because of all the cops and everything costs 4x more than what it normally would. We went on a Sat and there were more cops in bulletproof vests than people. Seriously, there was a cop in every corner. I've been to beer fests before and there were never that many cops. No beer samples allowed (wtf?) and the people working the beer "gardens" had no idea what the beer tasted like and were unable to give recommendations. They just read the description off a card under the tap that I could already see. The fenced-in spaces to roam with your beer are small. And it gets crowded. Your ticket basically pays to watch the bands. But it's really hard to find a place to sit so you just end up standing and feeling miserable. Finding a free Oktoberfest or something that includes beers with your ticket price would be a much better option. Or, just go to Germany!

They have some high tables with stools to sit on. Its a decent sized space but it fills up fast. They only had two people on staff which means there was always a wait. It made it hard for them to spend any time explaining the wines for tasting. A tasting is 20$ and you get to sample 4 wines. My favorites where the white merlot(not actually a white) and the hot mulled wine. The bottles are priced way to high for the average person to buy one.

From the moment we arrived, it was easy to see the love and care that goes into this family-owned farm. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable, and the educational presentation gave us a whole new appreciation for these amazing animals. The reindeer were the true star, gentle, curious, beautifully cared for, and absolutely magical. Meeting them up close felt like stepping into a winter fairytale, no matter the season. It's one of those rare experiences that's just as meaningful for adults as it is for kids, and one you'll be talking about long after you leave. Safe to say... I left completely obsessed with reindeer, and we're already planning our next visit

We belong to a few wine clubs but there is something about the Leavenworth tasting room. Paula always greets you like your are family. She has a smile that you can't duplicate. We met Barbra today and she is a delight. We have been members for over 20 years. Paula in Leavenworth, Chris in Woodinville. These employees are the ones that keep up coming back.
