We stopped by for some mulled wine when we are walking around downtown and we were not disappointed. Very friendly staff that helped us pick out wine as gifts for other people and a nice cozy little set up by the fireplace for our whole family to sit. I had a good experience here. The staff was super nice and it was relatively easy to grab a table for a large group despite how insanely busy it was in Leavenworth on New Year's Eve. However, it took a super long time to get from the line to the seating area because we had to order all of our drinks up front and check out there too. I had the cider flight which was really nice. They arranged the cider in order from tart to sweet and I got to taste a combo of existing and new cider flavors. My friends had some red flights and really enjoyed the experience of hanging out at a table and sipping drinks, taking in the environment, and having a great time this holiday season. Goose Ridge winery was our last stop before driving back to Seattle. Obviously the driver didn't drink... but the rest of us had a good time. We were drawn in with the lovely and modern decor, the warm fire pits outside and the sign for hot mulled wine. Carrie explained the situation to us. They offer different tastings and I overheard one of the workers explaining that they had bottles of white sangria that tastes like red wine. I was intrigued, but already committed to mulled wine. The hot mulled wine was a little pricey. There was no price on the sign when we came in, but in the future, especially if I was sitting inside or felt warm enough, I would have liked to try one of their regular wines. They also have ciders and offer cider flights. They have cool flavors like cherry and peach bourbon. It would have been a perfect experience, but we got kind of forgotten of when they got busy. We had asked for a water for our DD and was never given it and then we kind of had to go up to the tasting counter to request the check when we had finished. read more

You feel like you're in a ritzy cabin, sipping expensive wine, yet you're in the middle of a town. They do a terrific job with immersion. There is also outdoor seating for your pleasure. Following an event, we stuck around tasting some great turning heads and Rosé. The Rosé is described as being made with "100% apples" and "created from a short amount of aging in our red wine barrels." which it sure tasted like along with a drier finish. Cool name, Cool tasting room, Cool Staff, and even Cooler products! Beautiful interior with great decorations and super nice staff. I tasted and ended up buying a 64oz growler of the Spiced Apple Pecan Cider. It has a crisp, light and slightly sweet finish. It came in a Halloween themed growler that had me smiling the moment I saw it. This place is fun to try and is fairly large inside. Go get goosed when in the area! I think you'll like it! read more

I have visited the Goose Ridge Winery in Woodinville and we decided to try their cider tasting in Leavenworth. I knew I loved the peach bourbon cider, and we all finished our little glass. However, none of the other ciders were enjoyable. The lavender tastes like dish soap, and somehow the apple and cherry ciders tasted very flavorless. They also decided to add sparkles/shimmer to each glass which was slightly off-putting. Service was acceptable and there was a decent amount of seating, we got a table right away. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would - the rudest older lady working I've ever encountered on Saturday Jan. 27. Please filter their reviews and you'll see I'm not the only one who feels their service is horrendous. My friend and I walk in and look at the wine menu, I look to my friend and the an older lady working comes to greet us as I'm talking to my friend about their selection I tell my friend they don't have any late harvest and I didn't like ciders. My friend asked if their cider was sweet, the lady rudely replied, "NO, ours aren't and we aren't the place for you!" then turned around with a flat sour face. I look at my friend and said I don't like her attitude let's go, the lady quickly turns around and says oh I was just kidding, I was just kidding with an obnoxious fake laugh ha ha - and literally was following me out of the store room. Then as we kept walking she stopped to talk to fellow patrons outside her winery about us walking out - how much more unprofessional can you be? Need to try to rectify your poor behavior and customer service? Not funny, you are RUDE and need to learn not everyone likes your wine or cider. Next time be like your neighboring wineries and offer an option we may like or hey how about even offering a different winery like your neighbor did. I'll never step foot in here again - you should learn to treat people with kindness....so rude! read more

This winery is a must stop when visiting Leavenworth. We have been members of Goose Ridge for over a year and thoroughly enjoy their wine and cider selections. Their Leavenworth tasting room exudes a charming cabin ambience and their hospitality is definitely top notch. I've noticed the staff consistently getting to know their customer base and even remember them by name and last visit. Their membership process is easy and we've gotten quite a few friends and colleagues signed up for memberships. There are both wine and cider tastings available. I recommend calling ahead to schedule a tasting. I personally love their Rose, Chardonnay, and Vireo wines. If ciders are your fancy, I recommend trying the pomegranate and cherry ciders. They also have Cascadian Outfitters canned Chardonnay and Rose. The canned wines are portable and perfect for the outdoors. In addition to wines and ciders, they also sell growlers, steins, branded clothing, and other great gift items. Although it was near capacity when we arrived, our courteous and enthusiastic server Carrie (sic?) found us a table out back, lit us a fire, found me a stool (since someone at a nearby table had snagged one of our chairs), and came back to check on us frequently and engage us in jovial conversation. We weren't able to try the assorted flight due to the smaller glasses being pre-disposed to explode when placed next to the fire (yikes!), so we ordered a couple recommended glasses instead, and enjoyed the wine, warmth and weather (despite being near freezing)! My Riesling was sweet without being saccharine, light and lovely, and my wife's Chardonnay was crisp and dry, like the weather! Both took the edge off the cold and facilitated a relaxed, early evening respite, where we could breath in the mountain air, converse quietly amongst ourselves, and remark on the serenity around us. Pretty amazing, considering the raucous crowd on the other side of the building, on Front Street. Great wine, great staff, great location. During one of the tree lighting weekends back in December, we stopped by Goose Ridge in Leavenworth. I've been to their Woodinville location before and am a fan of their wines and ciders, so just wanted to see this space! With it being the tree lighting weekend... It was crazy town. Standing room only, packed in like sardines. AND there was live music. So, we didn't get quite the experience I was looking for... That being said, the staff was incredibly sweet and even with everyone in there, I could see it was a beautiful spot to do some wine tasting. They had some really great sales going on on lots of merchandise and ciders, even. We picked up a bottle of the cherry cider. Love their reds. Will return when we're back in town! read more

We really enjoyed the atmosphere of this tasting room with the cozy rock fireplace with seating and the beautiful display of wines behind the tasting bar. There was a really nice man who poured for us while we were there and chatted with us to find out what flavors we preferred. The husband of mine was excited to see that they also offer cider here as that is more his speed. The cider tasting was 8 dollars for three ciders and he enjoyed them all but especially the dry apple. I had the wine tasting for 15 dollars with the cab being my favorite of those I tasted. It's really nice that there is so much variety offered here with multiple reds, sweet and dry whites, and even the hard ciders. While we were there enjoying our tasting, they also had a local musician playing which really did a great job to elevate the already welcoming and warm environment. We love Goose Ridge!!!! We tried four wine tasting rooms and this one was our favorite. We became members after becoming friendly with the staff and other locals. Cori and Carrie are amazing (really everyone was fantastic!!!!! ). We can not say enough about this place! The red are great...whites are great...and from what we heard...the ciders are also fabulous....but we haven't tried them yet. They KNOW their wines and how to pair them and talk about them! My favorite part about this place is their outdoor seating area. Lots of tables and some with fire rings for when it gets cold, but it does get full. I tried the cider flight, and liked two out of the four. Typical ciders that you could get anywhere, so I suggest sticking to the wines. This place is excellent - we came here on a quick girls trip during the middle of COVID-19. Beautiful fall day and we sat outside. The lady working there (so sorry, I forgot your name) was very nice and could tell that we were a little hesitant and wanted to socially distance. A beautiful location but we were disappointed in service and quality of the wine. The servers said "I'm sorry. We forgot about you," two times when finally coming back to our table after a long wait. Additionally, the white wines taste incredibly sweet - like a low end moscato. We had to move tables twice to accommodate reservations that were not ours despite us already having a reservation. Took about 1 hour and 40 minutes to get through a tasting, overall highly would not recommend. read more

What is a visit to Leavenworth without doing a wine tasting in town? This was my second visit here. They offer inside and patio seating. Our group visited as soon as they opened and we were the only ones inside for a while. You can do cider tastings and wine flights (red only, white only, or mixed) or order a glass of your choosing. A few people in our group ordered flights and one person had a pint of their blood orange cider. I loved how they added edible glitter to the cider. That was a nice touch. I enjoyed my mixed flight. Enjoyed my tasting here. Came up last weekend and the place was packed! Met some fun people to chat with. Their wine was tasty! There is a bathroom as well as a water canister to help yourself. It would be nice if they offered a non alcoholic drink other than tap water for those that cannot drink alcohol. Even a soda or sparkling cider etc. When you are with a group it would be nice to feel like you are participating. During my Thanksgiving holidays in Washington state, my niece and her husband decided to take us to Leavenworth - we shopped and felt the Christmas spirit which was alive through the snow filled and Christmas lighted streets and the smell of donuts and hot chocolate in the air. We decided to stop in Goose Ridge Winery for some wine tasting. We were hosted by Alicia who walked us though the wine tasting menu. Our goal was just to do the tasting but had no intentions of buying. Alicia took her time with us explaining the wine list and what we would be tasting. We tasted the Malbec(my favorite), Merlot and a variety of others. I asked if they had chocolate to accompany the taste - but they didn't have any and so she proceeded to give us the next best thing - oyster crackers. The place was cozy and clean and had an enjoyable atmosphere as we sat next to the fireplace like we were in our own living room. If you're ever in Leavenworth - and a wine lover, check this place out. We ended up buying 2 bottles with a smile on our face and having had some great service. A must stop! read more

The place empty, so we chose this place over the one next door. We came in as a group and only three of the eight of us are drinking, but they insisted on seeing on all of our IDs. All of us were over 25 , but then they made us promise to only have the ones that said were going to drink actually drink??? We wanted to to order a flight to share since we had also drank earlier (responsibly), but were told we not allowed to. They said every one of us that were drinking had to each pay for our own flights and then made us pay out immediately. We watched as they went to greet another group that walked in (with kids who may be borderline 21). They were Caucasian and only the one person that was drinking got ID-ed??? They were a little understaffed when we went which is totally unforeseeable on their part because it was randomly very busy, but we were kind of surprised in how small the portions of the tasting were for the price. In the tasting room at Woodinville, you usually get a full tasting glass and they are served all at once, so we had a little bit different expectations. Here, however, it was barely a sip of 1 oz of cider that we got and they were very spread out because the staffing. We found ourselves waiting around between one oz sips. The tasting cost $8 and it was for a total of 4 oz of cider...felt a little disappointed in what I got for the money. Would have rather just got a glass.
