My neighbor was having some trees trimmed and they asked if they could enter my back yard to do some of the trimming for easier access. I agreed and made a comment about how I hate my mature river birch tree because it makes such a mess. Tommy, who was very friendly, immediately gave me a reasonable quote to take it down. We contacted Art-Is-Tree and spoke to Mike in mid-January 2024 to remove limbs from the tree next door hanging near our bedroom window and on the roof. After talking to our neighbor (tree owner), they decided to remove it altogether. We offered to pay $800 plus an additional $200 to trim two other junk trees (also from their yard). I work. My wife is retired (20 years in the US Navy and 23 years in Human Services), and she is a cancer surthrivor (as she says). We are getting our backyard back in shape and preparing for the hurricane season. On the day of tree removal (February 6, 2024). She noticed the workers detaching and rolling our chain link fence back to make an easier path for transporting the tree parts to the shredder. No worries. Although they never asked us. She asked to speak to Mike about servicing three other trees on our property through one of the workers. A couple of hours later, Mike came to the door once they finished the magnolia tree. He stated he could not trim the other two trees because the magnolia took longer than they expected. We asked about the cost of trimming our two holly trees and our maple in the back. He quoted us a price. Before leaving, he stated he would not come to trim the others until we were ready to cut the two hollies or the maple because "we're not going to come out for just a $200 job." No problem. My wife was cool with that, and I'm cool with it, too. I was not cool with what I encountered later that day after I came home from work (I am an educator). Upon attempting to enter my back gate, it seemed stuck! Upon further inspection, it was crooked because the post was broken. A piece of the tree was up against the fence, caging on the outside and a brick inside. Additionally, one of the horizontal bars was bent. This was probably from the tagline handler. This was a huge old magnolia tree! I called Art-Is-Tree, and initially, I was told that if I signed a contract waiver, there was nothing they could do. I informed them their contract was with my neighbor. The second time I called, they stated someone would be in our area next week. This was the week of February 12, 2024. They came out to put their advertisement sign on our neighbor. Three weeks later, they came and removed the sign from our neighbor's yard. I have called them a total of five times. We considered continuing to use them for our other trees. That is not happening. We want our fence post fixed. read more

I responded to one of their neighborhood flyers and the owner, Mike, gave me a solid written estimate that also served to guide his crew when they arrived a week or so later. This type of documentation is critical because it avoids communication errors. I was really happy with their work--they did it professionally and cleaned up after themselves. This company cut down my trees last week. They are still sitting on the street. The city is threatening $1000 a day fines until removed. I would not recommend this company. I may have to pay someone else to remove the trees I already paid them for. read more

These guys did a Fantastic and professional job! They came out on the date scheduled, even earlier than expected! Took down one pine tree in our back yard, and trimmed 4 other trees. They all look much better than our neighbors trim tree jobs! We even got a quick tree education on how to keep our existing trees healthy and told we don't need another trim for 3-4 years. Honestly a PLUS! Quote was very reasonable and not exceeded on the day of service. ( That's a different story for another day with a different contractor.) Over, can't say a bad thing. I called this company to get a quote for trimming numerous trees in my yard and they responded the very next day. I received a call and an appointment was set up for the following week. The day came and no-one showed. The following day I received a text asking me if they could come out the following week at the same time. I agreed and again no-one showed with not even a call. I have yet to hear from this company and I would not waste my time with this company. Poor communication and business ethics. Stay away from this company! read more

They took a tree down for a neighbor, they asked to use my yard for their equipment as it was easier to get to the tree. No problem. I asked for a card for future tree removal for myself. A day after their job was done, my wife noticed damaged to our new roof and gutters. I called them and they came out to look at the damage. They apologized and took care of, not only the repair cost, but we also came to an agreement on tree removal for me. They do good work and are responsible, honest, and trustworthy enough to admit a mistake. Highly recommend. read more
