Juan leads the day- to-day activities on site and is a warm kind positive leader as well as hard-working hands-on contributor to seeing these projects through. Our equipment vault is the correct dimensions within 1/16th" and is square and plumb - this is no easy feat with concrete. Although Joe let us know that the board formed concrete wall may not match the 6-year old board formed concrete wall, it is near identical in pattern (line continuity, wood grain pattern, concrete extrusion thickness between boards) and the extension is seamless. Joe was kind enough to let us source our own trench drain which the team was had never used before. While gorgeous, it came with limited instructions and minimal customer support - the team simply has enough knowledge and care to install this perfectly. This and the multitude of other drainage that had to be laboriously connected with old drainage on site is all seamless and worked well through the recent rain. Finally, we had to trim old concrete and remove a concrete pad directly against our house, this obviously made us nervous, but the team, and especially Juan, took extra care to make sure that the cuts were clean and that there was no damage to the house foundation or sliding glass doors. He takes pride in his work and works hard along side his crew. They were also accommodating to my requests during the form building, which I appreciated. During the estimate and planning, there were a few difficulties in communicating my requirements, but this was true for other companies I contacted so not letting it impact the review. After a recent rain we can confirm the water is flowing away from the house and the broom finish and joint lines turned out nicely. Guess the true test of concrete is how it holds up in the next 30+ years, hope I can update the review positively at that time.

The crew was professional, paid attention to the details, and did a very good job with the cleanup afterward. The pricing was also a major plus. We received a quote from Black Diamond that was more than 50% higher. Black Diamond certainly does a lot more marketing, but we didn't see any difference in the proposed work to justify paying that much more. The pavers and borders came out great, and the finished work has made a noticeable difference to the front of our house.
