I'm a tourist so I'm not sure if this was normal, but my wife and I were able to walk up at 430 pm on a Saturday and get a table on Memorial Day weekend no problem. Servers were at tentative, laid back and not pushy at all. It was a beautiful evening, and we had a great time. We had the frozen ghost tequila drink and, if you like a little kick, you might like it too. You can also step out onto a see through platform which is a little scary!

You usually need a reservation well in advance to get a seat at the Roof Top bar, but our party lucked out and was able to be seated after waiting for less than 5 minutes. The views were beautiful; you get a great view of the Empire State Building with a see through floor. There was a good amount of seats and there was a very chill vibe and nice ambience overall. Drinks were the standard NY prices; I had an All Night Long Cocktail and split a Frozen of the Day (Which was Watermelon flavored when we went) and a Montauk Wavechaser IPA. The staff was also attentive with taking orders and re-filling water. Would definitely recommend this roof top for a nice date or a night out with friends!

We were turned away from another bar and stumbled on this semi hidden gem! My family was visiting from England and one of their bucket list was to go to a rooftop bar since they don't have many there. Drinks are expensive and food is not great but it's what you expect going anywhere in New York with any sort of ambience We experienced more of the bar area where you were served in a decent amount of time with the number of people ordering from the same bartender. Minus one star for the quality of drinks and food, needing to be elevated for the price and the overall crowdedness But would eec

One of the coolest, more underrated rooftops in NYC. I especially love it cause you get a great view of the Empire State Building and sunsets here are absolutely beautiful. I do wish their menu had more options. There weren't many beer or wine options and very little quality food items on the menu. Service was great and the vibes are immaculate .

Just to let you know you are basically paying for the view. The food is most definitely basic and the drinks were watered down. I'm honestly super lightweight and the drink couldn't even make me buzzed. I think I got Stairway to Heaven ($18)? I remember that not all the drinks were available from the online menu. The view is super good because it's that mystical NYC skyline.

Wow! One of the Best rooftops I've been to in all of nyc. It was small, but the views...breath taking! You're literally staring up right at the Empire State Building. We had a happy hour here to celebrate one of my friends birthdays. The bartender was amazing! He gave the birthday girl a couple of free shots and was so sweet. Took pictures of us. We loved him! The only negative experience here was the elevator on the way up and down, it's so crowded. It took us at least 20 mins to get up and down. Yikes! Pros: drinks, service, & views Cons: elevator to rooftop

Girls just wanna have fun! Come for the views, stay for the drinks. This spacious (not really, but you're not on top of other guests) rooftop is perfect for an after work happy hour or cute date night. I opted for their fruity cocktail, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, and proseccoo. Both delicious! People watching was also a nice touch

Great views, great cocktails, VERY little shade. You are either right in the middle of the beating sun or at one of the tables on the side of the building fully covered. Either way, in the right weather (and with the right sunscreen) this place is a great option for rooftop drinks in NYC. Reservations are highly recommended. Check in with the hostess downstairs who will lead you to the elevator.

The view was amazing at this rooftop, you can see the Empire State Building perfectly from here. The drinks were average nyc price and in my opinion fair given the amazing view.

We came on a summer weeknight and it was the perfect temperature. Zero wait to get up. The coolest part of this rooftop is that there is a see through floor where you can get serious vertigo. Honestly didn't expect it and added to the novelty. The view of Empire State building and the surrounding area was unobstructed. $18 cocktails. Great summer vibes with the lights.

Great rooftop and fantastic service from the bartender. Went here with a friend on a Saturday night at 9pm, and the plaCe wasn't too packed. Some spectacular views of midtown area, although it is somewhat restricted view wise since there are quite a few really tall buildings in it's vicinity that obstructed it's view. You do have a good vantage point of the empire State. Cocktails are the same price, and we got an old fashioned with makers mark and she got a moscow mule. Total bill came about $39 tax and tip inclusive. Pretty standard prices you would get for a rooftop around the area. Great crowd and ambiance, and it isn't too loud here so you can carry a decent conversation here. Drinks were made really well, I got a old fashioned with makers mark and that didn't fail to impress. Would be back here to impress more people!

Frozen of the Day - Vodka, Watermelon, Sake

Made a reservation for a Friday night. Thankfully, we were blessed with nice weather and a clear night. The views were nice, you could see the Empire State Building quite closely. I also enjoyed the ambiance of the roof with nice string lights. It was also not too loud so it was good for having nice conversations with friends. We each had the frozen of the day which was a blend of watermelon, sake, and vodka. It was quite strong. Also, the website said there is a 2 drink minimum per person, but this was not enforced at all. My friends and I were also able to stay and chill on the roof until past midnight (when they close) which was nice. The only downside was that the cocktails were quite expensive ($18 each), which is to be expected given the views, but it was a bit jarring since we ended up paying double for drinks than we did for dinner that night.

Very nice small area, view of the Empire State Building. Bartenders are focused on serving the crowds at sunset time. You must reserve or if walk in then standing room only .

Is there Sunday brunch or does it still open at 5pm?

Is there a happy hour here? If so, are the cocktails included?

Is it allowed to enter at all ages or do they card?

I went on a weekday night and they didn't card.

Is there a private room for a birthday party lunch?

there may be an option within this hotel itself but the rooftop is decently small even for a few couches and standing room

Servers seemed a bit annoyed to have to deal with us shortly before close as I think they were hoping to usher people out and close down maybe a little early. We were sat at the bar once and were very well taken care of by our bartender, Nikola. It was a Sunday night, so it wasn't terribly busy. It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.

We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer. For drinks, she brought over someone more seasoned, who quickly helped guide us based on our preferred taste profiles. Her suggestions were very good. The mushroom burger was the highlight for me. It was a little salty, but the crispy mushroom and soft bun were a great combination. I honestly wished I had more than half. The wings were okay. They were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but coated in a Dorito-like powder that made them very messy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back, especially for the mushroom burger.
