She had asked about my dog's prior grooming experiences which is totally fair, and I let her know that we got my dog from a previous owner and we weren't sure about how she was with groomers. When I picked her up, Ruthy let me know that my dog would keep turning around and didn't like her paws being touched and so she needed to hit her to correct the behavior. I was shocked to learn this and floored that she was so comfortable admitting this to me. She then proceeded to try to tell me things I should be doing to better train my dog. Never ever going back.

Smoked cigarettes throughout the entire one hour training session. Mind u he was smoking so close to my daughter who was attending the class with me with not a care in the world. We had to move away from him because he kept chain smoking throughout the lesson. He was telling endless stories about his childhood and how his dad would beat him with a belt and how he voted for trump and other political topics. (There's nothing wrong with talking politics, but there is a time and place and this was not it) he was very loud and obnoxious he cussed like a sailor. No professionalism. There is some very serious redneck culture here.Put down the cigarettes for an hour and have some respect for the people paying good money to learn from you. It was a Very unfortunate experience. My daughter and I were really looking forward to training our puppy and learning with him but after the first class i just could not return. I will not be back. No thank you. I have used every service they offer (day care, bath, nail care, enrichment, etc.) and every time, my pups leave the facility happy and tired. From the jump, they were accommodating and so great with me and my dogs. My older dog passed their interview easily but my little one didn't pass his interview the first time around. But there was no judgment. They quickly assured me he would more than likely pass the 2nd time. After he did pass, they have been so excited every time they come in. Now, they are jumping out of their paws every morning when I take them in the car and they know where we are going. The staff have always been so nice to me when I pick up and drop off. No matter who I deal with, they are always kind and a joy to talk to. I also make sure to check in with them to see if my dogs are having behavioral issues and give them heads up if one of my boys is feeling "spicy" or extra needy any certain day. Or if I am stuck in traffic on my way home and cutting it close to closing time, I call them and let them know I am on the way. That communication goes a long way with my rapport with the staff. And in the end, my pups win out. They get to play and socialize with other humans and dogs and it shows in their behavior out of camp. If you need consistent day care, boarding, and any extras, I can't sing Camp Bow Wow praises enough to anyone in Tracy with pups. If you don't believe me, see the photos below. Nice thing about this place is they won't just sign up any dogs if not completely vaccinated. So you know the campers are all vaccinated and clean. Our papillon mix came home looking very sharp. He was, however, 'nippy' towards the end of his session, which has never happened before. We figured it might be because he's getting a bit moody as he's aging. We will definitely give it another try though, she does a thorough job, and he looked very handsome when we came to get him. Despite initially receiving accommodating service during the COVID-19 pandemic, Nikki's service has since been consistently unreliable. She frequently attempts to reschedule my dog's appointments, canceling and postponing them without adequate notice. I have made appointments months in advance, as required by Nikki, yet my dog is consistently prioritized last. The most recent incident occurred when I had scheduled an appointment for October 3, which Nikki initially denied. However, I provided proof of the scheduled appointment, and she subsequently requested my dog's shot records at 9:30 p.m. (who does that ) I've been with her a few years and always tolerated but no more. I am extremely dissatisfied with Nikki's service and would not recommend her company. I hope others do not experience the same level of disappointment.
