I had two gift cards that I had won from trivia questions at Gore Club, and figured it was time to use them. So I stopped in one weekend afternoon. Stickers and posters, books and t-shirts, weird and vintage knickknack things. I enjoyed my visit here and left spending more money than I had in gift cards. It's a well organized and inviting space with displays of books records and other goodies. It's hard to describe, but it's awfully cool. Some interesting vintage items for decor. I think there are three rooms total. It's easy to find a section of whatever you are looking for or just browse because it is so well organized as far as the records go. They have an interesting collection of vintage books that you just don't see anywhere. It was getting close to closing time and the proprietor let me know that in a polite way that didn't feel that he was rushing me. He greeted me when I got there by the way he was friendly without being pushy. I purchased three vinyls and they were in excellent shape and well worth the money. I'm sure I will return.

A few weeks back me and my family was in the nearby area and my second born daughter was taking some pride in doing some mural hunting and she spotted this piece and few others in this 3 block radius that I've never noticed before or are brand new. The art work depicts 3 minority youths rocking shirts showing there future occupations. Very positive and cool depiction. Overall very cool piece and I'm always a fan of positive messages on public art. The east Broadway area has had a few of them pop up in a few clock radius of this one and it's awesome to see.

I made my own free outdoor art gallery. It was a very fun day. The mural is located around the corner from the Racial Injustices mural and just down the street from the Light at the End of the Tunnel mural. For me, it is a powerful mural. It is painted on a garage door and was the creation of Tramel Harold Fain in 2019. It depicts 3 black children with backpacks and shirts on that say future Med, Judge and Teacher respectively. This is a very positive mural and could give hope to some children that may have been looking for it. Fain said, "I want the image to be bright, fun and to bring some type of inspiration." He definitely accomplished what he had set out to do, which this one does. I am a sucker for a piece with a message. There is lots of free street parking available to for you to get out and check out the mural. However, it is not a very long stop and you probably could accomplish what you want to in the comfort of your vehicle. So, as I have mentioned, it is best to plan out stops at many of the other wonderful murals that are within a mile or two and make a day of it.
