    Fun play area

Fantastic place for a kids bday party! My daughter loved the party so much. The instructors were great and there were so many fun art projects for the kiddos.

The Art Zone is a preschool and play space for 18 months through I would say 5 years old. They have set play times where you can come and it's open studio. They put out tables with various arts & crafts for the kids that they get to take home. The teachers are awesome and sort out the projects as your child does them so all you do when you go home is pickup their bag and take it with you. Think creative projects like clay with beads, trucks rolling down a paper after dipped in paint, necklaces, art with cookie cutters, gooey blue stuff to stick things in and cut. They also have a room in the back with water & clay where kids can splash and play and a playroom with a bridge, dress up items and a bridge. You can be creative here! It's a bit pricey but worth it. I hear their preschool program is really wonderful too.

Art Zone at the park! A great way to have a birthday party!

This review could have went the complete opposite because of a minor scheduling mistake at Art Zone but ended up being a blessing in disguise. The owner Laura, is amazing, and really helped resolve the issue and she really saved the day for us and a birthday party at Art Zone at the park down the street from the location (I think they should have a package like this for future parties). We ended up having Art Zone come to a Glen Anderson park for a birthday party instead of being stuck inside, and it was perfect! The kids had a blast, they painted little stuffed animal dogs, finger painting, playing with goo, and Laura painted the kids faces. There wasn't a mess because everything was on white sheet paper that we just threw away afterwards and the kids didn't get as covered in paint as we thought they would. Art Zone is a perfect place for a kids party, and we can't tell you how happy we were to go with them. It also feels good to know this isn't some kind of corporate business; the owner really does enjoy what she does, and it really made our 5 year olds' birthday special. We'll definitely be back for more fun with the kids.

My 6 year old loved the spring break camp at Art Zone! She loved the slime, paint splattering, etc. We will be back for their summer camps!

Historic building. Ocean views. Sunsets. Gorgeous Grand Hall. You walk outside with a cocktail, and the Pacific Ocean is sitting there like it was hired by Meagan & team. Great views. Great vibes. But the real secret sauce is the staff! Meagan is UNREAL with communication and logistics. Responsive, organized, always thinking three steps ahead and somehow never seems rattled. Savanna and the boots-on-the-ground crew are fantastic and make everything run smoothly when there are a million little things happening at once. Catherine in the back of house is the quiet assassin. Just quietly kicking ass, solving problems and making things happen without needing a parade about it. And Meg from Made by Meg is an absolute delight and brings another whole layer to the experience. The coolest part is that everybody actually works together. There's no weird event-venue chaos where six different people somehow have six different answers. The entire team is cohesive, communicative and seems invested in making your event successful. We've had hundreds of people come through the Library for Sunset Comedy and the response has been incredible!!! If you're considering having an event here, DO IT. I came with my sister and brother in law who are regulars here and were bringing me here for the first time. We came during the first USA World Cup day and it was insanely busy which was expected. However, we showed up just right before the crowd and I felt that we did not get the best service even before the restaurant got crowded. Everyones food was a little cold and our drinks took at least 20 minutes to get to us. I also ordered the Caesar salad which had almost no dressing, my brother in laws steak was cold, and it seemed like we got the very worst batch of appetizers. The calamari was literally just crumbs of breading with maybe a few pieces of actual calamari and the spinach dip was delicious but came with only a few pieces of bread for dipping. Overall, our experience here was very fun just wish we had a little better service and that our food would have been up to par!

But what truly sets her apart is who she is as a person. During our meal, my young son began choking, and Julia reacted instantly. Calm, quick-thinking, and compassionate, she stepped in immediately and helped save him before things escalated. Beyond being exceptional at her job, Julia is clearly an extraordinary human being. We will never forget her kindness, professionalism, and composure under pressure. The club is incredibly lucky to have her, and so are the members fortunate enough to sit in her section.

After two nice spritz's I attempted to use the restroom only to be stopped by a server. She asked what I was trying to do and when I said simply use the restroom, she replied, "no it's for customers only." It was odd because we just spent nearly $70 there right next to where she was working, dressed like all the other beach goers that day. She said "oh" and let me go with no kindness or apology. No clue how I was identified, and it felt very profiled. But just left me feeling weird and not like I want to go back there or recommend it to anyone. In summary: Drinks and food was fine. One staff member was great. The vibe that server gave me ruined my day.

This venue was one of two (that I found) closest to me that allowed for that within my budget. Pros: Nicest coordinator - Lemor, the rental manager/coordinator, is the best! She replied to every question and concern and even let us set up the day before since they didn't have an event. Cost - Incredibly low cost for the location (just a block from the beach) Flexibility - You can basically setup however you like and hire whichever vendors you want as long as you leave the venue undamaged Cons: No A/C - Usually this wouldn't have mattered but unfortunately the date of the reception it was a high of 90F so my guests were boiling. Luckily I did not have any young/elderly guests so basically everyone just chilled in the patio or stopped by the beach. However I probably would not risk the heat again in the future since no one danced because it was too hot No candles - Big non-issue, most venues don't allow candles anyway Parking - Only street parking is available. Helpful, caring, accommodating, and extremely interested in helping our event their be a success. Suzanne, however, was AWFUL! From the moment she became involved there were mixed messages, opposing information, and changes. At one point after being told they were getting some upgrades done, awesome we said so long as the space was still usable as agreed upon. Then 2 days before our wedding we received an email from Suzanne telling us if we wanted to utilize the lights outside (which the patio was a part of our rental to begin with) or place tables out there with chairs we'd have to pay an extra $500 which we refused and then the patio only had 2/3 lights strung for our evening(which we didn't mind not turning them on in order to not pay $500 but at least finish it so the space appears nice and complete.) Then at the end of our reception at exactly 10:00pm Suzanne comes in like a bat out of hell, flips on all the lights and starts demanding things - meanwhile my coordinator and Angela already had arrangements for clean up and us being out of the space that evening. Suzanne was rude, unprofessional, and totally ruined the end of our wedding night. Thank goodness for our amazing vendors, family, and friends that took over so that Suzanne would not continue to attempt to argue with me at the end of my reception as I was still saying good bye to our wedding guests. Suzanne should not be the face of any rentals! I could not believe how 1 person could make what had been such a pleasant experience with an establishment turn so horrible!
