The parcel locker system has become a joke…read more Residents recently received an email stating that package pickup is free for the first two days. After that, the fee is $5 per day. This isn't a service--it's a penalty. Let's be honest about why these lockers exist. Package delivery used to be door-to-door. Now it's door-to-locker because it allows shipping companies to deliver more packages in less time while reducing the leasing office's workload of receiving, storing, and managing packages. The locker system primarily benefits the shipping companies and property management--not the residents. To make matters worse, the system frequently fails: Lockers open but are empty. Package photos are provided, but no pickup code is sent. Tracking shows "delivered," yet no code ever arrives. Reminder emails continue even after a package has been collected. Photos sometimes show another resident's package. Pickup codes are issued for the wrong package or don't work at all. Why should residents be charged because the locker system or delivery process failed? Residents never chose or agreed to rent lockers--the locker system became the only option for receiving packages. It worked for years without storage fees, so what has changed that now justifies charging $5 per day after only two days? If management chooses the locker vendor, then management--not the tenants--should be responsible for vendor and system issues. When the locker system works, management benefits from reduced workload. When it fails, residents are expected to contact the vendor themselves and now risk additional storage fees. A system that makes operations more convenient for management should not become an added burden for residents. Residents shouldn't be paying for the convenience of management and delivery companies, especially when they have no alternative but to use the system.

So, when we decided to purchase a second home in Newport Beach, we thought they would be a good choice. We found a home we wanted to see, and Sean sent one of his agents whom we had not met yet to do the showing. That's when we met Ryan Tarr. That first house wasn't for us, but Ryan was dedicated to finding us the perfect home within our budget. We weren't exactly sure where on the peninsula we wanted to be, so he helped us narrow down our search by spending a day with us driving through it and pointing out the advantages and disadvantages of all the different areas. Once we decided on an area, he was on it! It seemed like he never slept and treated us like we were his only clients. He worked hard showing us many properties. We don't live in the area, and he often went to new listings and walked the property while we were on facetime so we could decide if we wanted to fly down to get a real look. A couple months in of looking and unaccepted offers it seemed like nothing was coming on the market and we were feeling a bit discouraged. Then I got a text message from Ryan with a picture of a stack of addressed envelopes. He was mailing all the owners in the area of our interest! (see attached photo) A few weeks later there was a response to his letter, then more houses started coming on the market. He went above and beyond, and I believe got things stirred up in the market. Even though it took us 6 months to find what we were looking for; the wait was worth it as I am confident, we found the perfect family vacation home that will be in our family for years to come. As an extra bonus our family has a new friend and go to real estate agent in Ryan.

Mine was a man named Scott. Beware of him. I went to go work from a café, and didn't realize the parking lot I parked in wasn't affiliated with the restaurant I went to, but that it was a whole different plaza altogether, as the names of the plazas are very similar, and everything is very close to each other. I come to find out that without a single warning "~*BeCaUsE tHeRe WeRe SiGnS*~", so my car got towed, and I owed $569. I tried to call this company to explain my situation, but no one would answer.

They will just simply and indiscriminately tow your car if they feel it has been sitting there longer than they would like...whatever time frame that may be. These crooks just make up their own "rules" as they go. How any of this is legal is beyond me. Also note, there is no clear sign indications of what these frauds considered their rules to abide by when parking there is. Since I spend so much time in that area I have seen them do this to countless paying customers who were simply walking back to their car after lunch.
