This is by far the WORST medical experience I've ever had. It took me months just to get an appointment, and when the day finally came, I showed up early only to sit in the waiting room for over two and a half hours. When I was finally seen, Jennifer came in for all of 7 minutes, was rushed, unfriendly, and clearly uninterested in providing proper care. Two weeks later, I still had no results for my Pap smear or bloodwork. When I called, I was told I'd have to wait another week until "someone has time to review." To make things even worse, I was later informed that I was never actually tested for STDs--despite specifically asking for it during my appointment. This place is beyond unprofessional and careless. They waste your time, they don't follow through on tests, and they treat patients with zero compassion. Please, I beg you, STAY AWAY from this office if you value your health and your time. read more

Dr. Pemberton gets blasted for trying to be in FIVE places at one time. But this is what happens when you are an OB/GYN still catching babies. Many doctors have stopped their on-call practice or have partnered with a zillion other doctors so they can have a life. So, if you are here reading reviews about missed appointments or unprofessional behavior...know that she was somewhere providing INDIVIDUALIZED attention to another patient and her staff was trying to calm you down from your rant. I trust this woman with my life and will always be her patient even if it means being slightly inconvenienced because she's coming BACK to her office after delivering a baby! Avoid this birthing center at all costs. The entire staff -- especially Dr. Pemberton -- is completely negligent, disorganized, and unprofessional. This place is a joke. Dr. Pemberton is never available, barely communicates, and clearly doesn't care about her patients. It's honestly terrifying that she's allowed to deliver babies. The staff is just as bad. No one knows what's going on, they give you attitude when you ask questions, and they pass you off from one person to the next without ever giving real answers. I had to chase down basic information about my own care -- while pregnant and in pain. They are careless, cold, and completely disconnected from what it means to support someone giving birth. This was supposed to be one of the most important moments of my life, and instead, it was chaotic, stressful, and traumatic because of how poorly this place is run. They don't deserve to be called a "birthing center." They're barely functioning as a medical facility. If you're expecting and want to feel safe, respected, or even just seen, do yourself a favor -- go literally anywhere else. read more

It blows me away that a medical practice can be two stars as an average of so many reviews and still remain in business. I was forced to go here because they back my midwife, which is an NJ regulatory requirement but their billing practices, front office staff, and wait times are unconscionable. I was told I would be billed $300 despite them being in network with my insurance company for a single appointment. However, they said they could provide me the paperwork to submit to insurance. They told me to call their billing guy, Shawn, who had no idea what they were talking about. Then I was told to talk to the interim office manager. I had to leave multiple messages before getting someone on the line to even make my appointment. When I showed up for the appointment, they kept me waiting 25 mins before telling me the doctor wasn't here and I would have to be rescheduled. I had checked repeatedly when making the appointment as they had scheduled me with an NP, and they told me I did not have to see the doctor. Why did that change? They didn't know. And didn't want to call anyone to ask about it. They did not apologize once and when I expressed disappointment about the lack of communication and inconvenience, they just kept saying "ok". When I asked if I should call back for the rescheduled appointment to confirm if the doctor was there, I got the same "ok" - not that they would be proactive and call me if they had to reschedule. In advance of the rescheduled appointment, I called back and guess what? The doctor was not in the office. I asked if I needed to be rescheduled again, was put on hold, transferred to another person, put on hold again, and then after 10 mins, they hung up. I called back and they told me I didn't need to see the doctor. Why did their requirements change? They didn't know. The doctor would look at my charts later. No apologies, no acknowledgement of the fact they could have seen me for the first visit and not sent me home after a 25 mins wait. Then, they called me back and said they didn't have my records ... but had never requested them. Did that affect whether I could have my appointment? No. And guess what, my midwife had already sent them in. I showed up on time, but waited 50 mins for them for this second appt to do my intake paperwork (which I could have easily filled out online or while waiting). All they did was make sure my amneotic fluid wasn't low and sent me home. What an absolute waste. I'm glad I had an uncomplicated delivery.. I can't imagine if this practice actually did have to provide care for me. read more

I would not recommend Artemis OB/GYN to anyone. The ultrasound tech was in a rush every time I met with her, and her personality is less than excited for new moms! However, the girls at the front desk are a delight and do their best to accommodate many patients that come through. Also, the woman who takes your blood pressure in the first room really loves her job!! What I don't like is that you can have an appointment at 10 am, and you won't be seen for at least an hour. Also, although these folks may be your primary OBGYN, they don't even reach out when you give birth. It's customer service like this that is horrendous! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would! This GYN medical office is HORRIBLE!!! They've canceled my appointments this year alone multiple times with no explanation whatsoever! A few days before, they send me a text telling me that my appointment has been canceled...again. I have uterus cancer history and need an examination and test done urgently and they keep canceling. I've been holding for over 45 minutes on the phone now, someone finally takes my call and when I tell her my grievances she rudely tells me she'll get a manager and puts me back on hold! I wrote an extensive review on google about them two years ago ( when I was expecting my second child) My pregnancy journey with my second child was THE WORSE! The staff does NOT listen to you. I had cramps since the beginning of the month. I went to the them several times, they would send me back home. I would go back & forth from 3-4cm for that entire month. I was so uncomfortable and in so much pain. Long story short, they kept telling me to come in just for them to send me back home. I explained to the Dr the level of discomfort that I was in and that it didn't feel normal. She dismissed me. I went to the hospital who would end up calling her and she'd tell them to send me home. Staff said they'd have to go by what my OB is suggesting at the time. The icing on the cake for me was after my last appointment one of the staff at the front desk told me that I was faking it. Without further ado, I called my old OBGYN who took me in since he delivered my first born and was familiar with my birthing process. He scheduled me for an induction for the very next day. Thank goodness because the baby had already started swallowing meconium. I believe my journey would have been alot different if I didn't switch over to ARTEMIS. I've learned my lesson , I will stick with my original OBGYN from now on. The level of stressed that I endured just by frequenting that place. Going to them was the worse mistake. The staff are not friendly nor do they value your time. They don't respect the patient's that visit and they don't care how long you wait. While visiting I waiting two hours. During that time someone else complained about their wait. At a later time I called and asked to speak to someone about my upcomming visit. The front desk staff are always kind so no complaints in that realm. However, the wait time are always excessive regardless on when appointments are made. I'm still trying to figure out what's the purpose of making an appointment, if it's not being honored. I made an appointment a week in advance for 2:15p and arrived a little before that time. I waited in the waiting room for 30 minutes and had to complain as I had another doctor's appointment elsewhere. I was then brought to one of the rooms to have my blood pressure and weight documented. Then I was told to go to the exam room to be seen but waited an additional 20 minutes. The staff is friendly but wait times are long (especially for a scheduled appointment). An hour wait to be called in the back + waiting to see the doctor. I've never waited that long to see a medical professional unless for urgent care (that doesn't take appointments). I believe in efficiency, organization, and time management - especially when working with people. Just know if ask what the anticipated wait time is, and they say "not long," that means 60+ minutes and not 30 minutes or less. Staff should be capable of providing patients with information on wait time. I question their scheduling formula (if they even have one). Because when talking to staff about the issue, they provide little to no information. If they do not have ample staff to provide to clients scheduled, they may want to reconsider adjusting their current scheduling methods. read more

My appointments have gotten cancelled 5 times in a row because the "doctor " is always out . I needed emergency surgery & was scheduled right away when I changed OBs. I want to start by saying that I REALLY wanted to like my experience at Artemis, & am very disappointed that I my experience there has led me to seek care elsewhere & to write such a horrible, lengthy review. I am currently expecting my first baby & decided to seek care at Artemis because I have a lot of hospital anxiety & wanted to give birth at the Birth Center of NJ. Prior to my first visit at Artemis, I received a pregnancy confirmation at my PCP's office where she also ran an extensive bloodwork panel as she miscalculated my due date & wanted to ensure I did not fall behind on my bloodwork/ genetic testing. When I went to my first appointment at Artemis, I was already told by my PCP that all of my paperwork was already sent to them & therefore expected an exciting, easy first appointment... Boy was I wrong! As first-time parents who have been trying to become parents for a while, my husband & I were VERY excited to experience our first ultrasound. The ultrasound technician was COLD & literally SILENT! Both of us held our breath throughout most of the first appointment waiting to hear the heartbeat & to get confirmation that everything was okay. Once we heard the heartbeat, my husband & I expressed some happy emotions, only for them to be diminished by the attitude of the ultrasound technician. After the ultrasound I met with a member of Artemis' in-take team & was told that I had to complete all this bloodwork & genetic testing; the exact same panel of testing I already completed & sent to them. After getting that all straightened out, or so I thought... more to come in a bit, I was told my appointment was over. I ended up getting a call from the doctor about 20 minutes later apologizing that the person told me to leave because I had an appointment scheduled with her. On the phone call, she told me my Progesterone was low and prescribed me Progesterone supplements & wanted me to come back in two weeks for a follow-up. About a week later, I ended up calling the emergency number as I experienced some heavy bleeding late in the evening. Fearing that something was wrong, I was very emotional, but tried to remain calm on the phone. The Doctor I spoke to was very short, very soft-spoken, & it felt like she was rushing me off the phone. When I returned for my two week follow-up, I was told, again, that I needed to complete a large panel of bloodwork - the same panel that was sent by my PCP and myself. I was told in a later visit that this bloodwork was missing AGAIN - this should have been my cue to transfer right then and there. While at Artemis I had 5 ultrasounds; out of all five of the ultrasounds, I only have ONE POSITIVE TECHNICIAN (that one being my fifth one with Anna)! The technicians were all very cold, completely silent, & somewhat rough. They seemed to be very annoyed & always vocalized their annoyance by saying that there was something wrong - such as my baby being too small or my baby was turned in a way that prevented them from getting a good image. I understand that positioning is VERY important, but it seemed like all of the ultrasound technicians, except for Anna, just gave up & made it very uncomfortable with their huffs and puffs. Anna did not let my stubborn baby stand in her way & was VERY patient when it came to getting all of the information needed to complete the second anatomy scan, & I cannot tell you how much I APPRECIATED THAT as a first time mom! I am running out of characters & have A LOT more to say, so I'll try to wrap this up the best way I can. The wait time at Artemis is HORRIFIC! It's crazy to expect people to spend HOURS at the doctor each visit! The whole experience seems like you are visiting a walk-in medical clinic! Although you see a different provider each visit, they literally do not read your chart until you're right in front of them. My last provider struggled to answer questions I had about a questionable finding the ultrasound technician saw on my ultrasound & FAILED TO LABEL SO IT CAN BE MONITORED! I decided to transfer out because of this appointment & the fact that Artemis told me they were in network with my insurance, but my insurance company told me otherwise. When I asked for a personal copy of my records so I can use them to review claims with my insurance company, I was given the run-around. Why is it so hard to get records about my own body?! ESPECIALLY WHEN I AGREED MULTIPLE TIMES TO PAY FOR THEM! When I finally decided to transfer out, they were in such a hurry to get me transferred out that they sent my records prematurely & CANCELED my second anatomy scan (which I had reinstated) that my new OBGYN wanted done before my first visit with them. I made it very clear on my transfer paperwork & the email I sent that I was transferring AFTER my last appointment - not immediately! I didn't even get asked why I was transferring out! I'll give them two because I like everyone except the front desk staff. This is the second time I've come in now that they switched the time of my appointment while I waited (I had to wait 1 hr and 10 minutes) and acted like I wouldn't notice that everyone that came in after me is being called first. I know they switched my time because the first time they said I was never scheduled even though I called to schedule the appointment and this time I overheard them say they were giving my time slot to a newborn and placing my appointment after. They have no respect for my time like I don't have my own job to report to. I even heard the nurse ask is Tatianna here yet and they said no right in front of me because they knew the change they wanted to make to my appointment. On a normal day I would've confronted them about it but I did in the past and they chose to do it again and I don't have the time and the energy for their attitudes. Then one of the ladies at the desk doesn't even acknowledge you unless she likes you then she might even stand up and say hi (mostly Spanish patients, this is why they shouldn't give me so much time to watch their every move). If I get her name next time I will edit my post with her name. Unfortunately, I had to approach the same lady with a question today because that's what the staff in the back asked me to do today and the way her face looked and the way she responded to me was as if I was a total idiot when she didn't even understand the question being asked. I quickly shut her down like that's not what I asked you. I just wanted them to know that this would be a good office if the front desk respected ALL patients. I feel like it's too late in my pregnancy to switch offices for one that respects me but I most likely won't be back after I give birth. read more

As a woman of color specifically seeking a black/brown practitioner, I really wanted to LOVE this place. But after a series of missteps, I just did not feel safe continuing my care here. I transferred to this facility at 28 weeks because I had recently purchased a home in NJ. I am pregnant with twins and high risk. My first appointment was a DISASTER. I confirmed my appt 2 days before the appt and confirmed they received my records from my prior doctor in NY. I even had my doctor resend my records on Friday morning JUST IN CASE they tried to tell me they misplaced my information. Despite my confirmation, when i arrived they could not find my details, told me that my appointment had been cancelled, and had not reviewed any of my records beforehand. The intake coordinator thought i was there for an annual (despite my HUGE BELLY), the midwife had no idea that I was having multiples and could not point me in the direction of a prenatal vitamin with a stool softener (according to her, she had never heard of that before). I waited almost two hours to see the midwife and almost missed my trial waiting for them to get it together. Despite that, i STILL committed to giving them a chance bc who needs to be stressed with two babies on the way in less than 2 months? Following my "appointment", I was advised to make an appt to see them every two weeks for the next eight weeks. The next day, i received my confirmation emails wherein I realized that I was paired with the same midwife (who according to their website JUST got her Masters in midwifery in 2020) for the next 8 weeks. I called them on Monday and kindly advised (and i mean VERY KINDLY asked) that while I certainly don't doubt the ability of the new midwife, I'd feel more comfortable with an experienced practitioner. I also asked that I be seen by the doctor being that I'm high risk and I'm having multiples. The receptionist was very nice and graciously changed my appts-- i would see the other mid wives (or NP) for 2 appts and the doctor for the last 2 appts. GREAT! I was ecstatic. Two days later, the "practice manager" calls me and tells me that she "heard the girls talking up front" and accused me of lodging a "formal complaint" about the facility and its practice. I was flabbergasted. Why are the "girls upfront" (presumably the receptionists) discussing my private medical details in the reception area where others could clearly hear them in violation of my HIPAA rights?!! Additionally, what professional practice calls a patient and essentially tells her that the receptionists were gossiping about her? I was in the middle of a trial so I couldn't really unpack our conversation but I told her that i never lodged a complaint and I have no idea what she was talking about. She continued to push the issue and, in sum and substance, told me that she doesn't understand why I'm complaining if I'm seeing the doctor 2 times out of the next 4 appointments. I told her that that was changed 2 days ago. She then tells me that that's not what she sees in her system and hopes that I don't have anymore issues in the future. After rushing off the phone, I called her back to further discuss what the receptionists were saying and she never returned my calls. After a week, i transferred my care back to NY and called to let them know (i didn't even bother going into detail about why i was leaving, i just told them i was transferring back to NY). The receptionist, in a mocking tone, says "awww Ms. Cameron, sad to see you go" and quickly hung up in my face. This review isn't coming from a place of anger but people are entitled to know the service they will be receiving from this office. As a general rule, you should at least be paired with a doctor or experienced NP when you're high risk, they should have some familiarity with your records, and the receptionists should not be discussing your private medical details in earshot of others. It's not only unprofessional, it's illegal. I hope this office handles other women more appropriately in the future. read more

I had a horrible experience at my previous OB and was so nervous & stressed. they were so kind and helpful. All the nurses/OB were so helpful, kind, answered all of my questions & took their time, never rushed. Yes, as people said, this can create a bit of a wait time. But I'd rather wait a few extra mins and have my time with my provider and be completely cared for then speed up the visit for a few mins and be rushed. Fraudulent birthing center that is not upfront about costs until the baby is already near due and you have no other choice but to pay outrageous bills that were never mentioned beforehand. They clearly do not really care about the safety of new mothers, only the money they can extort out of you. I have never been so aggravated with the services of a doctor's office before. Let me tell you my story. All I needed was my birth control shot done. THATS IT. I understand there are specific procedures that go with getting birth control like getting a birth control consultation. I did that my first day I went to the office. Then I decided with taking the 3 month shot, Depo Provera. I have to get the shot from my pharmacy. (Which is already annoying that they don't have the shots in house) and then make another appointment to get it administered. (So basically I have to pay the copay fee twice just to get it administered) I am a college student so I can only be home on the weekends. Sometimes I can't even go home because I have lots of work to do. So I got the shot from the pharmacy. And went to school. That week I called Artemis and asked if I could have the shot administered at my college health center, and they said it was fine. So I got it done at my college. 3 months later, I had to get my prescription refilled again. And so I call the doctor, and the doctor denies my prescription refill because I didn't get the first one done in their office. I told her that I absolutely could not go to their office that weekend bc it was the busiest weekend of my life, and asked if she could send the prescription to my pharmacy near my school (where I dorm at btw). And again I was denied. I asked one more time if I could get it done at my college, if I also brought in documentation of the first and second time. I was denied again. Fine. I go without birth control for a week, which is fine. BUT SETTING AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE FOLLOWING WEEK WAS THE WORST THING IN THE WORLD. I called them asking to set an appointment for the next week to administer the depo-shot, which is what the doctor said to do. So I call them back, and the staff answers. I say I need to schedule an appointment for my depo-shot. They told me they couldn't schedule an appointment for me until they know when the last time I got the shot was. I said okay I'll fax in some documentation. I call my school to fax over the information and they did. I call Artemis again and they said they didn't get the fax. So I call my school again and they said they already faxed it over and they have a confirmation that they received it. So I call Artemis AGAIN. This time a lady picks up from the office and says that she has to transfer me so I wait 8-10 minutes for the transfer. When I finally get transferred the lady says she's going to transfer me again. When I get transferred for the second time, they transferred me to the same lady in the beginning!!! WHAT???? THEN IN THE END THEY SAY THEY STILL DIDNT GET THE FAX. And so I pretty much gave up at that point and decided to wait, bc maybe their fax machine is backed up. I didn't know when they'd finally receive it or what to do, so I just waited. EVENTUALLY, A DAY LATER, they call me back saying my appointment is confirmed and they hung up on me before I could ask what time the appointment was. I assumed the appointment was today. Saturday, March 9 at 2pm bc that's when I discussed having the appointment the first time I called to have it set. The lady said that she would set that appointment when she received the fax. TODAY I call and the operator says that they are closed today. I went home all the way from my college just to still not have my shot administered. Luckily the doctor already filled my prescription at my home town pharmacy. I can get the shot administered at my school again. And the next time I need my prescription filled I'm going to get a new gynecologist. That was the worst experience I've EVER had with a doctors office. None of the staff wanted to do their job. It wasted so much of my time. Mind you between every call I made there was AT LEAST a 10 minute hold between my school and Artemis, and I had called them each at least 8 times. ****I always hear the doctor is great but the staff has the worst customer service. They are rude and they sound like they don't want to work there. It is the WORSTTTTT thing when a worker sounds like they don't want to work. JUST QUIT. NEVER EVER EVER GO HERE. I promise the first time might be a great experience, the place looks nice and they offer refreshments, but once you need something from them THEY ARE THE WORST. **** read more

The office staff is the worst beyond belief. I've come from working in a medical office, complete with 7 providers and would have 21 patient (2 on the hour, 1 on the half hour). I was initially suppose to have my annual in November, I called beginning of October only to be told that first available wouldn't be until the new year and I would have to be put on a waitlist. Totally understood about the waitlist, COVID and all. A month passed, heard nothing, two months, nothing, three months called them, nothing. At this point I sent an email, or two and you guessed it STILL no reply. I called early this month to see of my messages were received and explained to which ever receptionist I got on the phone, they were able to fit me in, I WROTE it in my planner (yes I use an old school planned) an appointment for the 9th at 4:30. I called the previous day to confirm and see if they had an earlier opening they informed me my appointment was for the 8th. I wasn't going to fight them, because it was useless. I asked if there were any cancellations for the following days they instructed me to call in each day for cancellations, instead of writing it down or "waitlisting" . As instructed, I called in during the week for any cancellations, finally an opening for the next day (2/11@1050). I work late nights as a police officer, my shift is from 7:45pm to 6:30am. I needed to refill my birth control because I suffer from endometriosis and I haven't had my annual since last October, so without a second thought I took the appointment. Maybe an hour and a half of sleep because I was in fear I would miss my appointment. I came to the office a half hour ahead of time because I know better and was told by the office staff that my appointment was for next week. I reiterated to the woman at the front desk, I called in yesterday and asked about any cancellations and was told to come in at 10:50 for today. One of the receptionist (most likely the girl I spoke with on the phone the day before) realizing the mistake was quick to squeeze me into see a provider. I was able to see a provider, who even confirmed the office staff has no idea what they are doing and have over booked multiple providers to save face. I thanked my provider for being able to take me and told her I understood. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE DR.PEMBERTON and I would love to see her normally for my annual but I understand she is busy 100%. This office is very inexperienced and unorganized. Not only did they have me with a run around for months with a condition they were unable to diagnose they also treated me like a ginnepig with different pills and contraceptives ignoring all the signs provided. After waiting 1 month for an appt with the actual physician they cancelled without notice making me aware of such once I was in the office for my "scheduled appt". The most disrespectful part was wanting to schedule my next appointment 20days later. I could die waiting for their irresponsible and careless type of care. Dr. Pem hope you enjoy your vacation while you leave patients to wonder why you and your staff are so unaware of being considerate and responsible. Also, overhearing other patients complaining of no midwife available to support their need. SAD! read more

So far I'm very pleased with the service I've been getting from Dr. Pemberton's office. I recently switched from Aetna to UnitedHealthcare Community insurance and my previous OBGYN did not accept my new insurance. When I called up my new insurance's provider phone number they gave me Dr. Pemberton's address and phone number and told me they were providers on my new plan. When I called up the lady I spoke to at the front desk made the process very pleasant and breezy. She was very helpful, very informative, and answered every question that I had for her. I was actually very surprised because I didn't think it would be this easy to find a new OBGYN this fast and with new insurance on top of that. I'm 28 weeks today and my first appointment with Dr. Pemberton is towards the end of November. I'm extremely excited to see how this visit is going to be. At first I thought they were good but the 1st red flag should've been how often they switched staff it stopped as I got further into my pregnancy. as one of the previous commenters mentioned sonograms are rushed however what upset me the most is I told Dr. Pemberton about my swelling because it was a concern they provided me with some information about preeclampsia and said they would monitor and never did because how would you monitor me and I'm home but anyway I saw her at 37 weeks she mentioned she was going on vacation and if my levels hadn't changed then I'd be induced mind you I had a sono the same day I saw her. When I came in at 38 weeks my baby had no heartbeat and because it was during covid I was there alone they didn't even try to call an emergency contact I had to call my dad and my boyfriend to come get me. Of all the things you can pick up on a sonogram apparently they didn't see the cord around my babygirl neck or maybe she did and ignored it. No one reached out after the loss but they had no problem calling about medical bills Chile please. Oh and it got better, the we're going to send me home and schedule an induction the next day. Why would you send me home with a dead baby in my stomach. I immediately went to the hospital and they checked me in and induced me immediately. Now seeing that I should've been sent to the hospital when they thought I had preeclampsia would've saved my baby's life because i Would've been checked on daily at the hospital. worst OBGYN office EVER!! read more

Dr. Pemberton is experienced, but she is unprofessional and she runs her office in an inconsistent and unprofessional manner. Every time I have an appointment, I am waiting two hours before I can see the doctor. This has been done in several occasions with no regard for my time. She double books and triple books patients with the hopes that everyone will wait over an hour to see her. I had surgery and needed to see her post/op and couldn't get an appt. The office took a long time to fill out my disability prolonging my payroll. The office is terribly run. I will never go back to this practice. It is rude to have people waiting for two hours to see anyone. I would rather take my insurance somewhere else. Terrible office read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Pemberton since 2013 and personally speaking she's great as well as her staff. I'm not exactly sure why the negative reviews. As a HR Manager that works for a private medical practice in Manhattan for the last 18 years there's always going to be a waiting period to see a Physician /OBGYN no matter where you go. Simply call ahead to find out the waiting period...I do. Addressing the Reviewer Comment the Dr. face buried in the computer: Since the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and switch to ICD-10 codes there's been strict guidelines and certain criteria(s) physicians must meet regarding documenting their clinical notes not to be audited. So yes...your provider face will be in the monitor documenting the information you provide them during your visit. In litigious society according to malpractice carriers if you don't document it didn't happen. Addressing the Reviewers Comments about Billing: From an HR prospective 99.99% employees never read their medical benefits coverage and automatically assume because they have insurance everything is covered, which is wrong. READ your insurance summary plan description because every year benefits change i.e. coverage, in-network deductibles, and or out -of-pocket max which most companies choose to offset the ever-increasing health insurance premiums. No, it's not the doctor responsibility to know each and every patient's insurance coverage. It's the patient's responsibility to verify coverage. If you're not sure ask for the CPT and diagnosis codes and verify with your insurance carrier before services are rendered. read more

For a doctor's office to confirm an appointment multiple times using multiple methods it makes no sense why my wait time was so long. I waited for 53 minutes before i decided to cancel my appointment. I do expect a wait time, but I've been seen faster at CityMd or any other urgent care I've been too. read more

Very bad experience. I wouldn't recommend this practice to family & friends. Stay as far away as you can. Dr. Pemberton is nice, however the office staff, except for Maria, is terrible. They are rude and very unpleasant. Not very approachable, if you ask too many questions (2 or 3) they will give you an attitude, specially Marla. Dr. Cunha (which is the other doctor in the practice) talks to you looking at the computer, and stays reading on the computer for too long, while you just seat there waiting for her to finish, which gives me the sense that she doesn't know what she is doing. It feels like they dont know me and that I am a new patient every time I go. Very un personable & un compassionate. UPDATE!...When I wrote the above review I was only 7 weeks away from delivery. The plan was to switch doctors after the 7 weeks. Well, when I went for my follow up appointment on 7/25/16 Dr. Cunha started what seem a normal consultation, but stopped in the middle to go outside and come back in with Marla. They both started to confront me and harass me about my review (how professional!) Two people in a close office arguing with me and going back and forth. Mind you, I am 33 weeks pregnant at this point. They had no regard for the emotional distress that they could have caused me or the baby. After, this went on for a while I said that I had no interest in continuing the conversation, Dr. Cunha goes ahead and tells me to lay on the bed so she can check the baby! Who in the right mind would actually lay on the bed after that?! Needless, to say that I did not feel in good hands anymore and left. I am sharing my experience in hope that I can help another mom avoid problems and headaches during such a precious time in life. Where your doctor should be the least of your concern, not the one causing it. Poor professionalism and poor bedside manner is truly an understatement when describing this place. read more

She is meticulous in providing a safe atmosphere, diligent employees, researched services, warmth in the meeting rooms, and a professional manner when it is needed most. I delivered early twice. I trusted Dr. Pemberton expertise 100% and those who she left me in the hands of if she was momentarily away. I felt heard, celebrated, and cared for when at my most vulnerable state. 3/21/2019 It took 3 months to get a 11:10 appointment with a doctor and not a nurse practitioner. I completed my medical history online and had to go through it again at the office. I was placed in a cold room with a paper blanket and light gown from 11:23 to 11:46. The physician nor any staff came to advise me of a delay. The doctor was talking right outside my door with another staff member almost the entire time while I was waiting. On a positive note, the office was clean and the staff were polite even though no one introduces themselves. It was also nice to complete online history but they really need to analyze why the data isn't readily available in their electronic charting. Really disappointed in my experience because I do believe she is a good physician overall. read more
