Horrible!!! It was my first visit and never again . Didn't even see the dr. My appointment was at 4:50 it was 7:20 when I decided to leave. If a dr office knows they are running so late behind they should give a courtesy call to advise you to come in later or reschedule. read more

I can't say enough great things about this practice. My cousin recommended Dr. Pemberton after she had a wonderful experience with her first pregnancy, and I am happy to say I have received the same wonderful care throughout my pregnancy. My due date is in ten days and I feel like I couldn't be in better hands. I've seen both Dr. Pemberton and her PA, Camille, throughout the past 9 months and both are extremely down to earth, attentive, and experts in their fields. The office staff are friendly, welcoming, and warm. I had to call after hours once and the answering service connected me to Dr. Pemberton right away. She spent at least 15/20 minutes with me on the phone answering my questions. I couldn't be happier with the care I've received at Artemis Ob/gyn and there is no doubt in my mind that my delivery will go just as well - I completely trust Dr. Pemberton and that is the best feeling! read more

Although the Dr. P is very nice, this practice is a joke. People are viewed as Dollar Signs, not as Patients. Wait times are ridiculous.All these unnecessary tests are done, and no one in the office can explain the results to you. I called a few times on a test with questions and received 3 different answers and then I was recommended to just come in to discuss with the doctor. Everything always leads to a follow up, even a simple birth control appointment. The only upside is that you can call and get an appointment the next day, which probably says a lot about the practice as a whole. Most Gynos have a few month waits. read more

Initially I was excited to find an office that had many women of color involved from the front desk to the physician. My first visit went well where I met with the PA, she was very kind and informative and I felt comfortable. I then requested an appointment with the Dr. and was given the appt through video chat due to her busy schedule. I have never done this before so of course I was skeptical and asked about the cost. The front desk staff assured it should be covered by my insurance...it was not. I was quite annoyed because I didn't ask for a video chat appointment but it was given to me as if it was the only option. Met with the Dr. though video chat, and she was pleasant and very knowledgeable. My third visit is where I was completely over it. I waited in the waiting area for almost 2 hrs as patients around me were also complaining about the wait. I approach the front desk and ask why the wait is so long and she explains that there is a woman in labor that has the Dr's attention (she was a bit nasty as well as if I didn't have a right to ask)....THE LEAST they could've done was make an announcement and apologize for the long wait and even just give the option to reschedule. I don't understand how I took the time out to clear my schedule for an appointment that I had to dish out 2 hours for WAITING to see the Dr. and no one was apologetic. I had already paid my co pay and she assured me it would go towards my next appointment. Didn't care, I walked out and never came back. So overall, the physicians are great but the front staff needs some work. read more

Doctor seems great office staff not so much never verified my insurance had to call them to give them the right number they never called me back they where supposed to set up a follow up here it is over a month later and nothing glad I found another doctor who actually had her team verify my insurance and who has scheduled my procedure and I was able to see the doctor in person sad this place gives you hope but than never follows up which is why I hate tellahealth get charged an office visit for a phone call then never here back from the office even had the nerve to ask for a credit card to be put on file great doctor but your only as good as the people around you Sad this place knew everything I been through with doctors when I originally contacted them in July but it took a month for a phone call and still no follow up appointment even if an appointment is not available for a few months why not tell people instead of ignoring them read more

I believe that customer service is the foundation of any business . With that said I was elated with the level of customer service at this doctor's office. When I walked in, the atmosphere was inviting the staff was polite and professional . I was at awe. I was dazed by the effort and personal touch that was put into designing this office space it was obvious that there cliental was of prime importance to them. The first thing I noticed about Dr. Pemberton was her infectious smile and warming personality. I had a few things to discuss with her and she made me feel very comfortable about my present situation. She was patient and listened to every detail. As I looked around the room it was obvious that it was up to date with all the latest technology. Dr Pemberton was very knowledgeable and my experience there was like no other. I've been with Artemis OBGYN since March 2017 for my first pregnancy. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Pemberton and the entire staff. I was quite hesitant to come here due to all of the negative reviews but from the receptionists to each and every staff member, everyone has always been helpful, kind and compassionate throughout my whole pregnancy. I work as a nurse for an outpatient clinic as well as having worked at a same day surgery center and I assure you there will always be a wait. Even as a patient, I've always had to wait to see my DR.'s so for people complaining about the wait, there is always a reason for it, not just because they don't want you to be seen. They promptly answer any questions sent via patient portal and are always mindful of the waiting room wherein they would ask the men to give up their seats for the women. Being in my last trimester, I am fully confident and comfortable that I'm in good hands with Artemis OBGYN. read more

If you have a place to go soon after your appt, beware do not go here. I had an 1120am appt and came in at 11am. I walk in and the ENTIRE waiting room is full and there are 3 women standing because there are no seats ; warning 1. This was my second time here because I was told that they won't do a birth control consult (been on it for 5+ years I think I know how to take it) and a yearly at the same time because they not only want my co pay but also bill my insurance twice. Greedy much? So this visit I sit here for 3 hours to be seen! I ask the receptionist ( not so friendly and a bit sarcastic/rude) how many appts do u book per slot. Her lovely response was, "whatever the dr tells us." So here I am 3 hours in, writing this and still no sign of a doctor. AVOID! read more

STEER CLEAR! Based on my experience, I feel Dr. Pemberton is unreliable, unprofessional and cannot be trusted with the important responsibility of delivering a child! Recently, she has been impossible to get a hold of and her mid-wife jumped ship; which speaks volumes. When you make an appointment to discuss important matters concerning your pregnancy: you wait forever in the waiting room, meet with a nurse practitioner who know nothing about you, you are told (on multiple occasions) that the doctor is not in the office, and your concerns are dismissed by the nurse practitioner and the office staff. read more

Finally a female OB/GYN to the area that is intelligent, genuinely caring and always availalable to answer any questions I have. Her office is state of the art and very spa-like. She truly cares about you and you never feel rushed. She is up to date with the latest procedures and even does robotic surgery! I was sent to her by a friend and I could not be happier. I love the patient portal where I can personally email the doctor and get a response from her almost immediately. read more

Find another doctor or be ready for unnecessary out-of-pocket expenses. The staff at Artemis is borderline awful and the doctors will order tests that your insurance often won't cover even if you are there for just an annual. They also don't have microscopes for easy diagnostics in house and instead send out unnecessary tests and lab work. I don't think the doctors even know what tests they are ordering. Normal OBGYN are familiar with the prices of lab work and what most insurance will cover. At Artemis, they are clueless. I went in for a preventative/annual visit and ended up with a $300 bill from a lab that charged $900 for a simple culture. Their billing department then refused to re-bill this as routine claiming "everyone knows it's diagnostic" and proceeded to yell at me when I explained that I was never informed of this. They will most likely get sued for mal-practice soon. read more

I did the research and read all the glowing reviews from different sites about Dr. Pemberton, so I made an appointment. Dr. Pemberton, the medical assistant, and the phlebotomist all get my high praises. They are all professional, skilled, and have great interaction skills. However, the front office staff is less to be desired. Although they tell you to come 15 min early, there is little paperwork to fill out. They dropped the ball by not informing the patient of their process, and then have the audacity to be cold, curt and irritated by the new patient's ignorance. As a courtesy, they could at least say: "Mrs.___, there's actually not much paperwork to fill out. We have your information, the medical assistant will take your health history, and we just need your insurance card, credit card, and signature." I had some blood work done. Dr. Pemberton clearly stated: "If the blood work is normal, I will let you know, and all you have to do is make your yearly exam appointment. If there is concern, you will need to make an appointment to see me to discuss it." Fair enough. One evening, I got an automated call stating I need to make an appointment. I called the office and explained the conversation I had with Dr. Pemberton. I asked: "Am I making an appointment for my yearly, or do I need to make an appointment to discuss my test results?" I spent the ENTIRE WEEK calling the office numerous of times, and repeatedly, asking the same question. I told them: "I am not going to make an appointment only for Dr. Pemberton to tell me the test results were normal. So tell me, do I need to make an appointment to discuss the test results, or do I just need to make an appointment for my yearly?" I couldn't get a straight answer. In her frustration and lack of knowledge, the office manager raised her voice, was very unprofessional, rude, and downright condescending. It was so frustrating, so time consuming, and so draining. As a last resort, my husband called the office and explained my dilemma. They gave him the runaround too! They would not give a straight answer. Why is that question so hard? If you don't know the answer, why not ask the doctor? To this day, I still don't know the answer, thus I never made the appointment to return. Secondly, the front desk told me that they would first ask/confirm to use the mandatory credit card number on file as payment for my bill. Well, they didn't ask or confirm. I simply got the bill and receipt of payment in the mail. Good thing I used an American Express. Just as a tip, don't ever use a credit card with a low credit limit. They will charge it without your permission, and you could incur a penalty fee. Thirdly, when my test results were posted on the patient portal, I started receiving automated calls saying my test results were available. But I would get automated calls as early as 8a.m., and as late as 9p.m. If you have babies or kids that nap, beware! After a couple of weeks of this, I called the office and asked them to fix the system so that I would no longer receive the automated calls. They said there was no way to do that. Turns out, if you don't physically open each document of each of your test results on the patient portal, the automated system will call you, indefinitely. Do they tell you that? No. At least not until you have had it. With that said; if you are a thick skinned, vibrant and healthy young woman who only needs to see the doctor once a year, this place is perfect for you. But if you need care beyond wellness visits, and/or need tests for some kind of health issues please, I beg you to save yourself the aggravation. Run away from this place. Run far, far, away. Dr. Pemberton is qualified and capable. But the business side of her practice is run by incompetent and inexperienced individuals, who are not business savvy, or patient oriented. And as my husband puts it: "She is surrounded by vipers, in her front office staff, the office manager especially." They either need to be retrained, or fired. The front office staff is absolutely, without a doubt, one of the worst and most atrocious of them all. Thus a most deserving one star! read more

I didn't want to give it 1 star the first time I went to Artemis for a second opinion, and to talk with the Dr. to discuss my fibroids. I didn't get to see her. I paid 25 dollars for a consultation, I had to make another appointment. So I told the receptionist I paid a copay last time didn't get to see a doctor. She said I have to pay for the copay, I'm seeing the doctor. Went in spoke with the dr. my other dr. sent them my x-rays she talked I listened no physical the only thing I got was advise. So $50 on top of what the insurance paid. The only physical was the x-ray. read more

I have been with Dr. Pemberton since 2013 and whenever I walk through her doors, I feel like family. Her office is pristine and the waiting area is one of comfort with a nice waterfall, a nice sized television and a variety of complimentary waters. Her staff is very upbeat and even though they have changed over the years (with the exception of Maria who has been there from my beginning and is like my sister from another mister), their personalities is one in the same with Dr. Pemberton. I love the fact that Dr. Pemberton uses the patient portal because there were a few times I've had questions regarding, medications, symptoms or test results and she always responds via telephone no matter what time of day or night. Dr. Pemberton's bedside manner is amazing, she's very thorough, never makes you feel rushed and she never leaves you with a question hanging. She delivered my daughter in April 2014 and I am looking forward to her delivering my new little bundle in November 2016. I can go on and on about how much I love my OB/GYN, but I would much rather you make an appointment and see what all the hype is for yourself. read more

I was so impressed with everything about this office. First the waiting room is comfortable and relaxing (waterfall), they even have bottled water available for patients. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Check-in before I even arrived at the office was a breeze with the online patient portal. They explained I can communicate with the doctor and staff via this portal which is something that is new to me! My wait was very short. Once inside, my health history was thorougly briefed by the wonderful medical assistant and I was placed in the room (TVS in all the exam rooms)! I met the doctor who was great. She listened to my concerns and alleviated my anxieties while explaining everything to me. I did not feel rushed. I need to have Robotic surgery and Dr. Pemberton will be performing this procedure. I feel very confident with my choice for this surgery with her. read more

I have been to several OB/GYN offices over the years and I was so impressed with everything about this office. The Doctor is absolutely genuine, she is always available and sincerely cares. The girls in the front are professional and pleasant. The Office Manager has helped me so much with problems I have been having with my insurance company. She really went to bat for me to help me get my insurance in order The medical assistant is also so sweet and helped me through a stressful time. I am reading the reviews here and can not help to wonder if these patients simply didn't want to pay what is owed to the staff. I honestly don't think anyone is mean in that office. Everyone is always willing to help me whenever I need help. I think more offices should have a staff willing to go to bat for their patients and help them out. read more

FYI, at the time of this review, I haven't delivered my baby yet. Dr. Pemberton is fantastic. My prenatal visits have been professional, yet fun and enlightening. Dr. Pemberton makes you feel like a friend in a relaxed environment. You won't feel rushed or devalued in any way. Dr Pemberton is the best gynecologist I've ever had! In addition to being a great doctor, she became a great emotional support system for me throughout my pregnancy. I can say she really cares about her patients. I'm usually very skeptical of medical professionals, but I can say I trust Dr. Pemberton 100%, she doesn't only relate to you as a patient, but as a woman and a human being. In addition, she goes the extra mile to quell your fears and investigate any concerns you or she may have regarding your health. Don't be afraid to go to her office with a written list of questions about your health like I did, most doctors look at me like I'm crazy when I do that, but she patiently answered every one. I want to say how great my experience at Artemis OBGYN was! Yes I said that! An OB visit great? At this place I feel so comfortable and relaxed. Everyone from the front staff, manager, blood taking girl and Doctor are wonderful! I was worried since I hadnt gone to gyn in years and was having some issues with my insurance. I didnt know if the visit would be covered. I didnt know how my tests would turn out. I was "scared" to go. Upon arriving at this lovely office, the atmosphere was very relaxing. The girls in front wewre warm and friendly. I had to sit with the manager to fix an issuewith my insurance and she was great. She took whatever she was working on and put it aside to help me. The insurance company hold was awful, but she didnt hang up rather explained to me what wee needed to do when they actually picked up. When the ins company answered she was able to help me and resolved my matter immediately. I thanked her repeatedly for taking time to help me. Next in the back the two were really great. Alleviating my fears about the exam as well as when they took my blood. Lastly the doctor was so kind and actually listened to me. She didnt rush me and took time to explain everything to me. When I left the girls inn front said we will see you next year for your annual visit. I actually told the girls in the front Im coming back soon This place was great! read more

This is the very first time I have ever written a review, and I never thought it would be about a Dr. However, I would be remiss if I didn't write my thoughts about Dr. Pemberton and her wonderful staff. From my very first visit with the office I was made to feel completely comfortable - the staff was incredibly professional, caring and very thorough, especially a young lady named Karen. All of my questions and concerns were addressed, phone calls were returned in a very timely fashion and every one went out of their way to be of assistance. Now to Dr. Pemberton. I have been going to ob/gyn's for a number of years and I must say that she is the best! She actually went out of her way on her day off over a weekend to come into the office because I was having a problem - when was the last time a Dr. ever did that? She has always been there for me - I feel she went above and way beyond what your everyday Dr. does! She is incredible! If I could rate her and her staff a higher rating than 5 stars, I certainly would. Don't hesitate to make an appointment to see her - you won't be sorry! read more
