Too make a long story short, I've came here for previous smog's & passed no issues since their down the street from my apt. This time was surprising cause after waiting over 30 mins even tho I was literally the only one there, Robert who was servicing me say's my catalyst converter that's underneath the car doesn't match what it's supposed to be.. I was very confused & didn't understand since I've been here before and have passed with the same exact car.. I never changed my catalyst since I received the car I passed all the emissions test he said, it was only because he said I didn't have the right catalyst part#. So after having me wait all that time and trying to charge me I went to another smog station the same day and PASSED with no mention whatsoever of anything being wrong with my Catalyst. Go get a second opinion if this place fails you! read more

This place is awesome. I was in and out of there in 10 minutes. Robert was very polite. He walked me thru on what to do every step of the way. The place is located in the very back corner of the plaza. In the front of the plaza there is a tire store. Next is a car service center. Next is the smog check place. Call before you go. The hours say they open at 8 am. I called and asked if I needed to make an apt or if I could just walk in. The person answering the phone said I didn't need to make an apt but he wouldn't be there until 9:30 am. Make sure to mention the $8 off Yelp check in coupon as soon as you get there. I told Robert when it was time to pay. He said I should have told him at the beginning. (That's why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5). I was like ok... how was I suposed to know that? Lol. With the coupon, I ended up paying $50. Not bad compared to how fast it was and how most places charge significantly more. Enjoy! read more

It's Sunday and I'm going through my mail. Buried in it is a DMV letter saying I'm late registering my car, AND I need a smog check. Dangit! So I quickly go to Yelp and filtered for Smog stations open today. Voila! Up comes Artesia Smog Test station with 5 star rating. I read some reviews and they all talk well of Robert. So I go, okay... never been here but people seem to like it and I NEED a smog check like YESTERDAY! Hop on the 91 and a quick 12 mins later I'm at the shop. One person already in the bay, so I park. I walk up and am greeted by Robert, who kindly tells me I can pull in after he's done with his current car. The place is clean, and Robert is kind and all business. He asks for my DMV paperwork and starts testing. Before I know it, he's done and I'm in and out of there in about 15 minutes. He informs me that I passed and I happily pay his price, which is a total bargain! I will definitely come here again when I need my cars checked. read more

Did a search on yelp for a smog check station that was open on Sunday. This was the closest place and the other reviews were very promising. The first thing I noticed was how clean and tidy the place was, definitely gives the impression that the owner takes pride in their business.
