Apartments are below average they try and spruce it up when you go in they have roaches. Management is very hard to get something done maintenance was good just front office sucked not uncommon in apartments but the biggest things is when you move out just feels like if you don't find the apartment better they when you move in they will charge you for everything and if you google greystar that's all consumers complain about it. stay clear of greystar it's unethical and just wrong. read more

I just moved in on December 9,2024. I am finding a cockroach everyday. I have emailed the office and gone in to ask for them to send pest control to my unit. No one has been here to spray. I have emailed management about my issue and no one has sent me any messages back. Pest control comes on Th and the days they were supposed to come and spray no one came. DO NOT MOVE HERE. The management sucks. We had a roof leak for 6 months that only got taken care of after weeks of complaining. The water puddled in the ceiling and dripped through our ceiling fan on our coffee table, that also got ruined. After complaining about that and the possibility of mold, they only showed up a week or 2 later, with a moisture meter. After using the moisture meter twice on different days, they deducted that there was no mold. Not being trusting of the words of the management, I went in the attic myself and discovered a large patch of mold, and we paid $650 to have our own mold inspector come out because the management obviously did not care much about our health concerns. The day after, the results came back, and there was in fact 2 strains of mold. If we did not take it upon ourselves to investigate for mold, it would have kept growing and we would have gotten SICK, if we didn't catch something already. We brought this up to management, as we wanted to break our lease and leave this place without paying any fees. They DENIED us the ability to leave without fees, and offered us to move in a different apartment. No way in hell would we stay in a different unit after the experience we had, and the pure negligence of the maintenance and management. DO NOT MOVE HERE. read more

Great location and building is visually appealing HOWEVER I would not recommend. You pay for tons of amenities however the only one that's operational is the gym. 24 hour business center has no working computers or printers! Movie room has no working sound system! Hot tub is cold more than 80% of the time! Pool was closed often during summer! Gate call box/keypad doesn't work. Left drive through gate never closes so building is unsecured! Walk up gates surrounding property aren't locked leaving building unsecured and allows transients access to the property. read more

I would give a zero star rating if possible. While living here, my roof leaked EVERY TIME it rained, ruining multiple comforters to the point I would put towels down all over my room and bowls if I even thought it would rain. The water damage spots stayed on the ceiling the whole year of our lease even after multiple work orders to remedy the situation. The worst of all is the fact that we have moved out in July 2021 and STILL haven't gotten our $900 refund due to a mistake on their end of DOUBLE CHARGING us! They have been a nightmare to deal with during this whole process, they have been giving us the run around since asking about it getting our money back. Beware if you lease apartment #1019! There is very little air flow from the AC into the kitchen! I have asked management on several occasions since July 2022 if they could fix the kinked ductwork in the soffit between the living room & kitchen. I've been told several times "I'll look into that & see what it entails." The head of maintenance, Jason, was asked to contact me about this problem & he never did. To my knowledge, not a single person from Artessa or Greystar ever stepped foot into that apartment to check out the situation. No one cares to fix my living conditions. It was such a problem that if I baked in the oven for one hour, then it took 4 hours to bring the kitchen temperature back to normal. Would you like to live in a "hot box" in July or August, knowing you can't cook in the kitchen without it being miserably hot in the apartment while waiting for 4 hours for it to cool off? Obviously everyone at Artessa believes it's ok to live that way! Their 10 months of refusing to fix the kinked ductwork is why I chose to move out of Artessa's apartment #1019! The offer they gave me to extend my lease for another 12 months is $250 a month MORE than the price they are advertising my apartment #1019 to a new tenant!!! Seriously, why would I be charged $250 a month more to extend my lease than a new tenant would be asked to pay! read more

I have lived here for almost 3 years. They changed management and staff at the end of 2018 and it went completely downhill. I'm one foot out the door and can't wait. I've recently paid my last months rent. I have always paid my rent on time without any issues. I paid my rent on Feb 1, 2018. On Feb 4th, for "unknown reasons" - the transaction went through TWICE! This is over 3,000 in expenses in just a 4 day period!! I called my bank to put a stop to the transaction and they could not because it was being withdrawn directly from my account. Needless to say, it emptied both my checking and savings. I'm currently in the red $250. AND I was charged for insufficient funds. It gets worse. Front office staff promised me I would be given a check to rectify it. My bank is calling asking about what's going on. I leave work early to try and get my money. They don't have it. They will call me when it's ready. Phone call. The check is located in the downtown office. I have to drive 1 hour to get my check. It's 4 pm and the office closes at 5 pm. Oh! And fucking rush hour traffic. Wait for it... it gets worse. I'm getting on a flight tonight, gone for 5 days. A vacation I had planned since last October. I'm now leaving for a vacation with NEGATIVE $250 in my account because of these assholes. This place is such a disappointment. I've called and complained to corporate. Sent multiple emails. My little family and I were SO excited to move into these apartments and we actually applied several months before our move in date and waited the months until getting our keys. We knew someone who lived here and had a decent experience and we thought it would be a good fit for our family. We're only three months into our lease and we cannot wait to move out. Our AC is complete trash. We try to keep our AC at 74 degrees because that is comfortable for us and our two toddlers. It will not go below 78 degrees and stays at 80 on average. We have asked time and time again for it to be looked at and the complex advised us that its "normal" for their AC units to not go any lower than 76, that the temp it's at is common for their units, and they won't look at it unless it's 83 or higher. Ummm I don't believe that was in our lease agreement or else I would have ran out of the leasing office with my two kids in tow. These past three months I've been paying a high electricity bill attempting to get my apartment to a comfortable level for us, just for there to be no hope for it. It's 80 degrees in my apartment right now and my four year old is sweating in his sleep and they won't look at it. The first couple of times calling they would add refrigerant/coolant and now they don't even bother. Our nest thermostat also says the humidity is 60% constantly. It feels even more hot than what the thermostat reads and I'm considering buying a thermometer to track an accurate reading since the ones at this complex are of poor quality. When I do laundry it gets absolutely sweating in my apartment. The laundry room itself builds condensation to the point the walls drip of water and puddles build on the floor. I can't cook without sweating, can't get ready without sweating, my kids can't play without sweating. I'm literally laying next to my sweaty toddler as he sleeps. It's ridiculous. We're constantly uncomfortable. I've never ever heard of a complex where it's "normal" for their AC units to not get to your desired temperature, and for maintenance and management to shrug that off as normal. The humidity makes our dungeon of an apartment feel even more unbearable. My last apartment literally a mile from here would easily get down to 70. My sister asked me if she felt like this complex would be a good fit for her and her roommate and I told her HECK NO, lol. She's so glad she decided not to move into my complex since when she visits she sweats from just sitting and watching TV, and now lives down bell and pays hundreds less per month for a 2 bed 2 bath. Another thing I'm wanting to add is that the layout absolutely makes zero sense. The built in TV stand is in the middle of the living space so in order to comfortably watch TV your couch has to be in the middle of the living space, leaving no room for a dining table. The water heater is on top of the dryer so I have to reach my arms into a space under the water heater and above the dryer to turn it on and sometimes it's quite painful. There's barely any storage space and don't even think about leaving candles or anything perishable in your one and only storage closet, because it is also a sauna and everything will break/melt. I hate to complain about every single thing but paying an absurd amount of money every month to be uncomfortable and for your toddlers to be uncomfortable in their own home is not okay. The only reason this complex has good reviews is because of incentives for leaving a review PRIOR to moving into your unit. I will also add that complex is always dirty with trash and dog poop. My kids and i have stepped in dog crap several times. The complex looks clean at first glance but trust me, you're better off looking at different apartments down the street. I absolutely cannot wait to move out of these apartments and back to my old complex. Worst mistake ever, and I'm counting down the last 9 months of my lease. I highly recommend NOT LIVING HERE. We did not receive help for both our move in and move out process in terms of a walk through. When we first arrived on move in day, our front door was unlocked and no one was there. Our washer/dryer was legitimately from the 1980s and ruined a few of our clothing items. Our dishwasher was broken and didn't get fixed for a month. It was a terrible move in experience especially moving from ACROSS THE COUNTRY. When we moved out, we scheduled our check out for 9:00 am. I waited over an hour for someone to show up and no one ever did. I sent them an email and their response was "I'm sorry we were unable to make it over to do a walk through with you." I was not surprised that they didn't show up, but I was pretty upset considering that is a literal PART OF THEIR JOB, so I'm not sure what they are getting paid for. The only reasonable part of Artessa is the maintenance. They are kind and do a good job. However, the hot tub rarely worked which is an amenity you pay for. The gates were always broken which is super unsafe. There were homeless people sleeping on the daybeds at the pool. The parking situation sucked especially if you and your family have more than 1 car. A lot of the interior design is outdated and not worth how much you pay. Overall, I would not recommend living here and I would give it less than 1 star if I could. read more

I used to live here years ago when Courtney was the manager and she had been the best manager I have ever had in comparing what is out there now. Appreciate it, if you have a good manager because it is terrifying to see what is out there. I have run into nightmares the past couple of years. It's sad to say but good for Courtney. Our cars registration expired while we were out of country on our ten year anniversary trip. We figured we would handle it when we got back and it was in our PAID for and designated parking spot so it wasn't being driven. They towed it. 4 days into our 17 day trip. No phone call, no email. Just towed. Now we have a huge bill to get it out of the tow yard. This place has shady management practices. Also, they give you 20 off of rent if You review them on google at lease signing. I called and talked to Chris and he helped me thoroughly even with the social distancing. He did a virtual tour for me and when my son approved, it only took less than 24 hours for Chris to tell me my application was approved. I was amazed by the unprofessionalism when first dealing with the leasing agents at Artessa. My fiancé and I applied 6/27 the agent had us apply for the wrong unit rather than the one we originally talked about. When we returned to the office he guarantied the original unit we viewed then later called us and said it was unavailable. That same day I asked for a refund for my holding fee and application fees. Frank advises that would be no problem and would issues a cashiers check in about 2-3 weeks. The next morning 6/28 he calls me to advised it is available. I asked if I needed to reapply and he said no since I already applied and paid but that this point the refund should have already been process and was not. I wanted the unit shown so I agreed to move forward. Frank assured that he would have the lease sent over via email by end of day on 6/28 and was never sent. I called the morning of 6/29 to inquire why the lease agreement was not sent over and a women answered advising Frank got busy and she could assist. She sent over the lease agreement with the wrong move in date when I called back to ask about the lease agreement, I received an attitude instead of an apology. With all of the unprofessionalism dealt with from leasing, I really would not recommend Artessa. Every single time an associate said they would do something they did not follow through on what they said. I inquired about a refund and asked to speak with the manager Tim. His associate emailed me back instead to advise he was busy with month end things. Future tenants are not a priority and associates don't keep their word. I am appalled that the company feels as if it is necessary to keep my deposit after all the hiccups in the three days of applying and waiting for the lease. read more

Drugs everywhere, geriatric security guard and Michael the employee from hell. The office creates this idiot newsletter full of useless information and are dumb enough to leave on the doors of vacant units. Hello burglars we made it easy for you. Retention is not a priority and vacant rates are higher than they've been in years. Accient appliances where upgrades mean black cheap appliances rather than stainless and they actually use linoleum in "luxury" units rather than LVT! And my favorite part is the mold growing in the entry ways! High class is no where near this run down dump. read more

Our first thoughts when we walked in was 'Wow' and after looking all over we finally decided to make Artessa our new home. We had an incident with our old apartment complex and the result was us deciding to terminate our lease and Artessa was so generous as to move our move-in date up. We had a great experience from the first time we walked in to tour the Communtiy. I did very detailed shopping of over 15 communities and this was always at the top of my list. We had only looked at the model originally and thought the drawers in the kitchen wouldn't be big enough as we have a chef in the home and the closet space would be small. So we decided to go with the bigger floor plan that had extra storage, now closets, and a bigger kitchen and skip the garage. Only two communities out of all the communities we toured had a 24 hour pool and spa and we love that. The game room, spa room, and theater was a big perk also. read more

First let me explain the pros of living at Artessa formally the lodge at arrowhead now owned by alliance The Property is for the most part is beautiful It is a super quiet community The people in the office are friendly The maintenance guys are great best i have seen The apartment are spacious and very soundproof from the neighbors Great pool area and amenities Now the cons please keep in find as I write this some of these things are being fixed however halfway there is not done and i will continue to edit this when and if these item are fixed. also keep in mind Artessa is advertised as a LUXURY apartment complex so to me that says its all in the details the apartment While some things are being upgraded in the apartment ours has not no if you move into one of these expect basic appliances and fixtures IE old track lighting very basic washer dryer fridge ect. not the ones in the demo apartment also expect around 150.00 to be added onto your rent as these are the hidden fees including water, curbside trash just added at a mandatory 35.00 a month costs, taxes, pest control,ect The amenities all the amenities are great the Himalayan Salt room, Lounge area, movie theater, and game room but if you are a normal person who works 8-5 these will not be available to you except on Sat and Sun. as all these features as only open when the office is. And since the back area which includes the Himalayan Salt room, Lounge area, and movie theater is available for private party rentals (for a mere 150.00) if it is rented on sat or sun your out of luck using any of them *Update* I have been told that the above listed items are being upgraded to make them 24hr to be completed at the earliest march 2016 but more likely June 2016 The pool area is very nice it has all new furniture and cabanas However the jets in the spa have never worked since we moved here in July 2015 and there is no sign of it being fixed anytime soon also there seems to be a cleaning issue around the pool area the gas grill and sink are always dirty and there is trash in the rocks around the pool that sits sometimes for weeks. remember luxury is all in the detail So will I continue to rent here I am undecided at this point because it is on the top end of apartments prices in this area I am at a wait and see But like i said This is all the truth so all do is let you decide read more

I'm reporting this to Yelp Admin. This place has gone downhill big time since Artessa took over. Pet waste bins are so full they're overflowing. Now people don't even bother picking their dog poop up. There's a massive dove/pigeon infestation resulting in bird shit EVERYWHERE. It's disgusting and unsanitary. The pool is constantly closed down due to the jack wagons that insist on bringing glass into the pool area. Mandatory garbage valet service has created a roach problem. And residents just pile bags and bags of garbage on their porch while the lease states you'll be fined if there are any bags outside of the provided bin. Michael in the office lied to my face when I asked about the comments from other renters regarding the rodent/roach infestation from the porch garbage before moving in. "Better than ever!" Was his response. All the grass is dead. Junk cars and RVs parked all over. There's an apartment with at least 10 people living in it across the way from us and constant domestic fights from the couple above us. It's great waking up to slamming doors and screaming at 2am. The "security guard" just hangs by the pool at night hitting on the girls rather than patrolling the complex. If the management invested half their money into enforcing rules as they do on pool parties and renovating the office (for a second time) they might make some headway. I don't see any improvements happening anytime soon. There are plenty of upscale communities in the valley to choose from. Stay away from this heap. I'm glad I signed a short lease. I won't resign and I would not recommend anyone else moving here. read more

Let me start with the office staff is great. Semine, Sarah and Chris have been great and helpful with any issues. The grounds are another thing. I can't take my dogs to the dog park because it's covered with dog poop. There are petrified turds around the property. There's a pink bag of dog poop in a bush right outside the office that has been there for 3 weeks. The dog stations are bot emptied daily. Especially the one right next to the maintenance garage. It's gross. You can smell the poop as you get near it. I understand owners should pick up after their dogs but there is a lack of responsible dog parents. All the reviews stating that all the recent 5 star reviews are bc the leasing office offers to waive fees are correct. They promise to waive fees if you leave a review and survey and they say they can waive depending on the review. I applied on Saturday 2/27 and emailed on 2/28 to cancel application and when I received no response I again went online on Mon 3/1 and asked again to cancel. It is Tue 3/2 end of business day and I received no response. I called a couple minutes before they closed... Chris said he sent me a message that application was canceled. Didn't receive message... "oh we send it through our sms"blahblahblah. How come I receive every message except theirs? I asked for a refund of app fee since I canceled less than 24hours after I submitted app online. Said couldn't refund bc that pays for the screening. Did you get the screening done within the first 24hours?? Why are you willing to waive it if someone leaves a 5 star review? Make it make $en$e $$$. Going to call bank and hope they can get my money back. read more
