I booked the visit a couple of weeks in advance, completed all required forms, and provided my insurance information. They also required full payment upfront, explaining it would be adjusted later to account for any copays or insurance coverage. When I arrived for the appointment, the receptionist immediately informed me that Eastern Roots was not in-network with United Healthcare and that I could instead submit an out-of-network claim. That was not an acceptable option, as out-of-network costs are significantly higher. It was clear the practice knew this in advance but failed to notify me until after I had driven over an hour to get there. When I requested a refund--since I was unwilling to proceed with a provider that misrepresented their insurance status--they refused, citing their 24-hour cancellation policy. However, I hadn't canceled the appointment; I arrived in good faith, expecting coverage. Only once I learned the true facts, which the clinic already knew, did I decline to continue. To make matters worse, the owner, Sarah Alemi, did not speak with me directly and instead sent an email referencing the cancellation policy. At this point, I have disputed the charge with my credit card company. I would strongly caution others to verify network participation and transparency before booking with this practice

Nevertheless, I saw on Massage Express's appointment page (Spaxzs.com) you can make your appointment with the following Massage Therapist. ROSE, Mike or Tony. You may pay through Zelle 301-789-6691 or pay by credit card or cash at the store. $70 will get you the full Body Massage experience for an hour. If 1 hour isn't enough, I reccomend 90 minutes for $100 dallors. If you hurting all over or just want the enjoyment of a great full body massage then the 2 hour massage for $140 is the way to go. You can also asked for 4 hands or 8 hands massage, but I strongly recommend calling ahead of time and setting this up with the manager on duty. Don't forget to get the cost of this service too. Now, if you are looking for stone massage, Kneel and Step Massage (which caught Mr eye), Thai Massage and Reflexology, you are in luck. I hope to make my appointment with Rose either today or on Sunday as a birthday gift to myself. I am also glad to see the early bird special is in play Monday-Thursday of 15% off of your desired service...the price gets better when you do this for 90 minutes or 2 hours full body massage..$85 for 90 minutes or $119 for 2 hours during the early bird special 10am-12pm Monday-Thursday Just wanted to give you massage enthusiast More information on this business than a short sentence. I will have my experience review on this place in the next few days I hope. Oh!, News flash, Tony Mike and David seem to be the only males available today. Rose apparently moved to New York. Females do not seem to be sticking around at this establishment. Only males now. This could be a deciding factor in your choice to come here. The resptionist informed me of this information. I hope this new information helps.

When I asked how much time was remaining, I was told there were 14 minutes left. Due to a language barrier, I had to ask three times for the massage to end. I tried to be understanding about the communication issue, but honestly, this was one of the worst massages I have ever received. The service felt extremely rushed and careless, particularly when he massaged my hands. At that point, I felt like I was simply being charged for time rather than receiving an actual massage. When I spoke with the front desk, May offered me an additional 10-minute massage at no charge. I appreciated the gesture, and I want to be clear that May actually did a good job. She understood the areas that needed attention and provided the type of massage I was expecting. Unfortunately, I was still charged for the additional 10 minutes that I had specifically been told would be free. I also found the response from the front desk extremely inappropriate. When I explained that I was dissatisfied with Michael's massage, I was told: "Black people like how Michael does massage; you like May's style." That comment was completely inappropriate and offensive. My complaint had nothing to do with race. I was simply asking for a proper massage and explaining that the service I received from Michael was not satisfactory. I don't believe customers should be charged full price for a service they had to stop early because they were dissatisfied, especially after being offered additional time for free as a resolution and then being charged for it anyway. May was professional and provided a much better massage, but unfortunately, because of the overall experience and especially the inappropriate comment from the front desk, I will not be returning.

Too much time has gone by since we were both there to remember the therapist's names. Nevertheless, the same woman that did my foot massage did 90 minutes on my body. I hope I took pictures of some of the changes in this facility. The massage was relaxing the therapist knew what she was doing to put my sore shoulder back at ease. The lady had strong hands and leg massage was outstanding. I don't remember the glutes massage, but I am sure it was good as well. I did notices the women therapist work in the office facility while the men work outside the open work area of the mall. I will be sure to come back here for another massage later on this year.

From the start, the massage therapist seemed reluctant to work with me, and I had trouble understanding what he was saying. Eventually, he motioned for me to sit, and I followed his lead. During the foot massage, he applied a large amount of Vaseline and rubbed my feet in a way that felt rushed and oddly aggressive, without explanation. When he finished, I thanked him but chose to decline the back massage and proceeded to pay. I left a tip of less than 20%, and in response, he raised his voice at me in his own language. I simply thanked him again and left quietly. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I don't plan to return.

I'm reviewing their massage therapy service, specifically for June Liu, who is amazing…read more What I liked: +June was very patient and clear about massage - asking if I want some water (they have sparkling water too) or to use the restroom prior to the massage +massage was for the full duration +massage was full body (from head to toe) and target areas were addressed +June made sure to ask if the pressure was ok and if scalp massage was ok +June has very nice hands for massage, some massagers have very skinny fingers which don't feel as great +despite selecting the Swedish massage for 1 hour, she did do some custom massage at my neck and shoulders where I had a lot of tension +$165 for 1 hour Swedish massage (some customization by June) is honestly a respectable price - especially since the whole atmosphere was super calming with light ambient music, soft massage bed, clean sheets, some essential oils Some room for improvement: -I'm not sure, but I think there were times when might not have washed her hands after massaging my feet and touching another part of my body. As a heads up: mineral oil will be used, so be prepared to be covered in it. Final Thoughts: If you are not used to full body spa massages, the pricing is steep but comparatively it is competitive for the area, especially if you get June. The first time I went, my body really felt brand new afterwards. Highly recommend her!

The only thing standing in between you and a great manicure is nothing (as long as you go to this…read moresalon)! Brittney absolutely rocked my dazzle dry manicure. I was in a rush and she got my nails don't in less than 20 min and still had time for the filing and hand massage! Truly she was amazing and they came out looking spectacular. The space is very cute and calming! Really enjoyed the set up and experience. Would probably recommend staying longer than 20 min just to soak it all in. Thanks again to Brittney fot being a speed master (ironically the shade I chose was "fast car").

To be clear, the gentleman's service was nice and I had a good time. If you're a guy who wants…read moresomething basic but decent and wouldn't mind paying a bit more for it, go for it. Vibe was chill too, and thankfully two hours of parking in the garage makes it easy to visit. But they undid my partner's acrylics without warning. In fact, when she let them know she has them, they acknowledged and then proceeded to work on removing them anyway. And since they're a "non-toxic" salon, they handwaved it away saying they couldn't fix it. It's unfortunate too because given the price paid, if they had at least asked her if she wanted her acrylics gone before proceeding to unglue them, she would've backed out of having her nails done and we would've enjoyed our time otherwise. But instead this happened and there was no effort made to make it right. I wasn't keen on raising a fuss after I mentioned that it "could've gone better if they hadn't removed the acrylic without asking" and they didn't make an effort to make it right, so I ended up just paying the bill. If you're doing anything more than basic work and especially if you already have anything preexisting you'd like to preserve, avoid this place. There really will be nothing in between them and your nails, whether you want it or not. Worst part was, it was her birthday. --- Edited to add before/during/after photos (before and during were impromptu, so they're not the best, but they were the day of) showing the outcome as well as an image of their listing where they certified that they do acrylics, which was why she picked them in the first place. So to see that they advertised acrylics and then claimed they don't do acrylics after ruining hers boils my blood. They even advertise nail repair and nail fill-ins here on yelp but couldn't be bothered to do either. Don't really know what to do here, so I hope you enjoyed reading I guess.
